The Investiture: Unlimited Blade Works Nezha

Chapter 442: What? Yuanshi Tianzun Was Drained Dry?

Master Puti, smiling warmly, observed the young boys and girls below, all clad in white Daoist robes with exceptional features and a certain aura of Pure Qi surrounding them. Without discussing their aptitude and understanding for now, their appearance alone could score eighty points.

He instructed his two young Daoist disciples to arrange accommodations for the students. Soon, the great hall was left with only Nezha, who also handed his tuition fee to Master Puti.

Master Puti didn't bother with any pretense and directly received the bag with a satisfied smile. These things weren't much to him, but earning money still brought him joy, which was exactly in line with Saint Zhunti's disposition.

A Saint does not need to pretend; they do as they please. Zhunti loves taking the opportunity to gather things, Nuwa enjoys staying at home, Yuanshi Tianzun values rules and appearances. If you think they don't seem like Saints, it's because they act according to their true selves without needing to pretend. Who dares to say a word but the other Saints?

Nezha also enjoyed indulging every day, eating, drinking, and admiring beauties, but he couldn't; he still had many things to strive for. When he truly loses all constraints and worries, that will be the moment of true great freedom.

A Saint is never stingy with their own. In Master Puti's eyes, Nezha was at least half one of his own. He knew Nezha's collection of Magical Treasures wouldn't suit weaker individuals and couldn't bear to part with the best ones. So, he said directly, "Now that you're here, stay on Fangcun Mountain and cultivate with me for a while."

Nezha agreed without hesitation. Facing challenges on his Quasi-Saint Path without a precise plan, gaining new insights here would greatly benefit his future journey.

And so, Master Puti's small classroom began. Nezha, not wanting to stand out, changed into a plain white Daoist robe. With his youthful appearance, apart from temperament, he looked no different from the other Daoist temple students.

Master Puti didn't disappoint Nezha either, imparting the Saint version of the "Six Divine Powers," which included Heavenly Vision, Heavenly Ear Technique, Telepathy, Destiny Communication, Divine Power, and the last, Leakage-Free Communication.

This Divine Skill was devised by Saints Jieyin and Zhunti after their own Saint ascensions, hoping to decode their Saint abilities and reverse-engineer an easier Method of Becoming a Saint to teach their disciples. However, they found this Divine Skill too difficult, hence breaking down the Saint attributes into six. Theoretically, mastering and perfecting all six Divine Abilities would grant the power of a Saint.

Of course, this is only theoretical. Even among some direct disciples of the Western Sect, mastering one or two abilities is considered an impressive achievement, let alone mastering the first five before even attempting the most difficult Leakage-Free Communication. Also, the difficulty isn't as simple as adding up; it multiplies exponentially with each ability learned. Mastering all five prior abilities makes the final one surpassingly challenging.

When the Six Divine Abilities are perfected, it signifies possessing some Basic Attributes of a Saint. But without becoming a Saint, they cannot be perfected, and those who do become Saints don't need them. For its original intention, it's somewhat of a failure.

Nezha already had mastery over Telepathy. With further practice, he found it the easiest to cultivate among the Six, while starting on the others in sequence.

From then on, Nezha practiced like an ordinary Taoist, leading a simple and peaceful life in the Three Star Cave. This way of living did not bother Nezha. Master Puti, proficient in both Buddha and Dao, was of immense help to Nezha's cultivation. Since both originated from the Mystic Sect, it didn't conflict with Nezha's path.

...

Immortals of the Heavenly Court can broadly split into two types: those listed in the Investiture of the Gods, who suffered calamities and now lead rather arduous lives. Not only do they lack wages, but some even worry about their longevity. A thousand years isn't long for them; eating Peaches this time may not guarantee access the next time.

This anxiety is common among many Immortals, prompting them to seek out other paths...

Another group comprises those who achieved Immortal Ascension as humans. Though they may have lost incense offerings, their cultivation can steadily increase, and their lifespan is not limited, allowing for a relatively leisurely enjoyment of Immortal Life.

Star Lord Sulu, Jiang Ziya, counts among them. Many gods on the Investiture of the Gods were appointed by him, yet he didn't anticipate their difficulties. Nevertheless, those close to him hold higher divine positions, making their lives somewhat easier by comparison.

As for Jiang Ziya himself, his life is even better. The Mortal Realm is currently chaotic with ongoing wars; official positions depend more on background and military rather than seeking help from his divine position, leaving him quite at ease.

Old Jiang, almost a max-level Fishing Man, used to seize time to fish even amidst his busyness. Now that he's free, he fishes even more. Who says the starry sky lacks rivers? Isn't the starry river a river?

Though an Immortal, Jiang Ziya is no ordinary Immortal; regarding his max-level Fishing Skill, to bait a spot is an insult. Not only does he not bait, but he even increases his challenge by using barbless hooks. How else would others know his fishing prowess?

On this day, the old man arrived at a meteorite he'd been surveying for a long time as his fishing spot. With a cloak and a rod, he could fish for a year.

Are there fish in the Star Sea?

There are, my friend, there are. The Star Sea is still a sea, and how could a sea lack fish?

The stars, as the boundary where the sky meets the Primordial and Chaos, serve two functions: one to guard the Primordial and the other to convert the Chaos' Spiritual Energy to nourish it. Yet this process is too slow for the fast-expanding Primordial. For single beings, the Spiritual Energy in the stars is abundant, thus spawning creatures like Star Spirits. These Star Spirits vary in strength, comprised purely of pure Spiritual Energy, possessing weak Spiritual Wisdom due to lacking a core, rendering them beloved by both Immortals and Mortal Gods.
