Taiyi?
Song Lin sensed the power of the world's origins above, encompassing the cosmos and countless Daos.
The information contained within was overwhelmingly abundant, as if countless universes were born and destroyed within it.
Just one glance brought a feeling of dizziness and disorientation.
This must be what they call Taiyi.
But why doesn't it match their descriptions?
Most people perceive it as an emperor seated at the center of chaos, surrounded by myriad universes, with a single thought capable of creating or annihilating worlds, reversing Yin and Yang with ease.
Innumerable mysteries lie within the emperor's eyes, compelling reverence and worship.
Some, however, see a golden light splitting heaven and earth. The golden light contains all things and exudes profound mystery, said to be the Primordial Light at the dawn of creation.
No one has ever described it as a dark, pitch-black sphere.
However, in Song Lin's eyes, it was far more enigmatic than any emperor or golden light.
Song Lin ceased trying to interpret this phenomenon and instead focused intently on understanding the Dao he sought—the essence of the Natural Dao itself.
Suddenly, he seemed to transform into the heavens and earth, becoming an Innate Divine Being of the cosmos, guiding clouds and balancing energy, orchestrating the change of the Four Seasons.
Gradually, he attained a sliver of insight into the Natural Dao.
Heaven and earth are natural, operating with constancy.
The crucial aspect lies in these two words: "with constancy." Following the changes of the Dao is natural.
Nature appears unremarkable, yet it wields the power to change heaven and earth.
The Natural Dao belongs to the stronger category of Acquired Dao. Even without an Innate Dao, those who comprehend the Natural Dao can establish a relatively complete Heavenly Court.
Besides the Natural Dao, Song Lin also sensed the Dao of Innate Yang Qi.
His progress in Dao Integration was only thirty percent, leaving a considerable gap before achieving perfection.
After attuning to Taiyi, the Dao of Innate Pure Yang absorbed a portion of the essence of the Taiyi World rather than borrowing from an external Dao. This anomaly was discovered by the Candle Dragon at that very moment.
Dao Integration refers to cultivating a Dao until one achieves Great Perfection, ultimately becoming the master of that Dao within the universe.
Progress is measured by the extent of unification with the Dao.
Upon attaining Great Perfection, one can command the universal Dao, bringing about transformations as extreme as altering the heavens and earth. Others cultivating that Dao will then be restricted by the one who has perfected it.
Dao Integration at Great Achievement or Perfection also has a distinct feature: surpassing the constraints of time and space.
It should be noted that even a Small Thousand World is vast beyond imagination, encompassing a complete universe.
With the Dao Integration technique of "Shrinking the Earth to Inches," a cultivator could traverse tens of thousands of miles in the Void Sect in a single leap, slightly faster than the speed of light.
Even so, traveling a hundred light-years would still take decades.
For the universe, however, hundreds or tens of light-years are insignificant, often devoid of anything valuable. Thus, forces on the Ancestor Star generally refrain from developing the Outer Heaven Stars.
The infinite void is rife with mysteries, including long-dormant top-level Great Demons lying millions of light-years away.
After reaching Great Achievement, cultivators gain faster traversal abilities, allowing for the development of Outer Heaven Stars.
Time passed.
Song Lin opened his eyes, a glimmer of green flashing in his gaze.
Stepping out of the Palace of the Polestar, he lightly pointed toward something atop the mountain.
In an instant, spring blossomed across the land.
This was the Natural Dao.
"However, the Dao integrated is of this realm. The Real World has yet to truly harmonize with the Natural Dao."
While comprehending the Natural Dao, Song Lin also noticed its shortcomings.
But the Daos of different Small Thousand Worlds often share commonalities. Furthermore, understanding a Dao essentially means becoming deeply familiar with it.
Returning to the Real World, Song Lin could replicate the process directly based on these insights.
He had also roughly deduced the key to comprehending Daos: first, become familiar with a Dao, then perceive the origin of the world.
Be it Taiyi, the Innate Ancestor Qi, or some other essence.
Once the key was found, one could grasp new Daos.
Song Lin resolved to incorporate this method into subsequent chapters of the Taiyi Jinhua Scripture.
For now, he decided against exploring new Daos.
He would focus entirely on advancing the Pure Yang and Natural Daos, while redirecting his attention to the Real World.
Another ten years passed.
The King of Chu passed away. Possessing the bloodline of Zhuu Rong, his soul transformed into the Fire God, and he was escorted to the mountain by the masses.
"Eastern King, it seems the demon beasts of the Mortal World are searching for Bai Ze. Shall we also join the search?"
"Bai Ze?"
Song Lin was struck with realization. How had he forgotten this? Bai Ze was said to understand all matters under heaven. Why not capture this Divine Beast and have him assist in locating others?
But why were these demon beasts intent on finding Bai Ze?
If his guess was correct, they might be searching for him instead.
Song Lin knew he couldn't keep this hidden for long; he must have exposed some flaw.
After all, the legend of the Eastern King had circulated for many years.
"Still, we shouldn't pursue this ourselves. Let Lu Wu handle it."
The Wushan region would inevitably come under scrutiny. It was better to stage another performance and allow Lu Wu to "occupy" the area.
Lu Wu, a dominant force among the Mountain and Sea Demon Clan, would likely deter anyone from approaching Wushan.
Of course, this ruse would ultimately be uncovered, but by then, it would be too late to undo what had been done.
…
Real World.
Ice sealed the land for a thousand miles, and snow blanketed the earth for ten thousand.
The ground was adorned in silver, an endless field of white. In the depths of winter, all life grew sluggish, and even humans became more idle.
Except for cultivators impervious to cold and heat, most people and places had settled into stillness.
Winter was simply too cold.
On this day, Song Lin awoke from the Palace of the Polestar.
The dharma images of the divinities on either side of him also opened their eyes. Shi Yinhua, Zhengxin, and the others stirred from their slumber.
"What orders does the Divine Lord have?"
"None. Carry on as you were."
Song Lin waved dismissively before stepping out of the Palace of the Polestar.
The practitioners of the Donghua Ancestral Court typically cultivated their True Bodies there, sending no more than a shard of Divine Thought to handle affairs.
Spending a single year cultivating here was equivalent to forty or fifty years elsewhere, far superior to the time blessed lands that consumed lifespan.
Such time blessed lands had once been useful to Song Lin, but after years of war, they had all but vanished.
Lost in thought, Song Lin wandered to the vicinity of the Red Water, where several turtles stood guard, ensuring no other creatures approached. Upon seeing Song Lin, the turtles parted to create a path.
The quantity of Red Water was somewhat lacking. If there were more, the Ancestral Court might produce even more prodigies.
"It's time to expand the original territory."
A thought passed through Song Lin's mind.
Whoosh!
Within a radius of ten thousand miles, the seasons under the Donghua Ancestral Court's dominion instantly shifted.
Snow melted, and life sprouted anew.
Winter faded, and spring arrived in an instant.
The transformation, akin to altering heaven and earth, startled cultivators across the land. Seeing the sun atop the mountain, all knew it was the work of the Divine Lord.
A collective sense of awe spread as the cultivators marveled at the Divine Lord's ever-growing command over Divine Skills, capable of such profound disruptions.
Changing the seasons with but a thought, truly befitting the Lord of the Divine Court!
Of course, spring lasted only half a day before the seasons reverted to their natural state.
Recklessly altering the seasons risked unforeseen consequences, leaving the Ancestral Court to clean up the aftermath.
"Summon Dangmo Emperor Chiyou!"
Moments later, Chiyou arrived.
"How are things in the west?"
"The Immortal Emperor Court is nearing its endgame. They've begun preparations for a victory banquet."
"Good. The demons and fiends have contested us for years. It's finally time for our turn to act."
