[A/N]: No double chapter today unfortunately. I'll make it up with an extra chapter tomorrow.
[Fragment Of Weapon] [Behold Thy Phantasmal Spear; Enveloped In Thulian Grace] (Spear, Weapon, Summon, Ability, Spell, Debuff)
Effect (Mortal): Summon Luin; Thulian Spellspear. Luin is a pseudo-spiritual construct formed from the coalescence of a Fragment Of Weapon and a Spear Mana Core. Luin contains within it the faintest traces of the thulian firmament, the unique wonder born in the Realm Of Dreaming Violet.
Attacks made using Luin will inflict traces of spear natured damage.
While wielding Luin, chant, then slash the space in front of oneself in order to produce motes of luminous thulian light. After a short duration these motes of light will transform into lance-shaped constructs of spear natured spiritual energy and shoot forward towards a designated target. Enemies that are struck with Luin shall become inflicted with an instance of [Orchid Dream].
[Orchid Dream]: Inflicts a continuous spear-natured damage over time effect. Spear natured spiritual energy lingers within wounds, preventing them from healing. Additional stacks have an additive effect.
Although the integration of the Fragment Of Weapon into his Spear Mana Core might have seemed a little hurried, the effect of Luin; Thulian Spellspear was more than Jon could have ever hoped for.
Manifesting the orchid-coloured cross-spear with a slash, Jon felt his chant expend more than ten percent of his remaining spear natured spiritual energy, manifesting five motes of thulian light in front of him. Instinctively, Jon did not feel the need to overload the ability, smiling as the motes lingered in the space where he once stood, his figure swiftly darting away from where he had cast his Spell.
Glancing between the three targets that he had designated and the five motes of pinkish light he left behind, Jon counted the seconds it took for the motes of light to shape themselves into five lances of spear natured spiritual energy.
The process was slow but automatic, noticing that the suspended motes of light had started to shape themselves into lances.
The three Malum Goblins appeared torn, glancing between the human running away from them and the motes of thulian light he left behind. One of the ashen-skinned goblins, a Third Initiated Mortal with a Spirit Mana Core and a Water Mana Core opted to focus its attention solely on Jon, raising its hand and beginning to chant the Spell manifested from its Fragment Of Torrent.
All the while the other two goblins darted away and behind cover, unsure of the effects of the Spell that Jon had chanted. Although their intelligence was limited, their experiences had taught them to be wary of Spells with no obvious effect.
Their tribe leader, the one who had transcended the inherent limitations of Mortality and obtained Knighthood, possessed numerous Spells that inflicted minor amounts of damage, if any physical damage at all to his targets.
That did not stop him from defeating another Knight Ranked creature within the Myriad Forest. Afflictions that manifested rotting pustules beneath the flesh and debuffs that corrupted the blood and marrow of a target, killing them slowly and without remorse. Fungus that produced spores capable of devouring white blood cells, and a horrifying presence that prevented others from moving once targeted.
That was the strength of a Knight. Something that had broken free of the restrains of their mortal coil, obtaining a strength that could defeat hundreds of uninitiated sentient and sapient lifeforms.
The Malum Goblin that had remained in place, did not notice the transformation of the motes of pink light into thulian coloured constructs of spear natured spiritual energy. Jon did not hide the grin on his face as he felt the effect of Luin activate, launching the five lances of spiritual energy towards the lone goblin.
The whole process took approximately seven seconds, but the velocity behind each of the spiritual energy constructs exceeded that of [Temperance Of Green, Piercing Wood Barrier] and [Thou Art The Monarch Of Spears And Truth].
Jon could not control the direction of the Spell contained within Luin after chanting it, a limitation that was somewhat offset with the sheer strength of the Thulian Spellspear.
The Third Initiated Malum Goblin did not have a single moment to react, a dull pink glow appearing in the corner of its vision the moment it completed its own Spell. Its hand hummed with a violent water natured spiritual energy, ready to burst forth at a moment's notice but-.
The sound of a corpse crashing into a nearby tree echoed throughout the forest. A resounding thud slashing through the awkward snarls and panting of breaths causing two nearby figures to lift their heads, glancing in the direction of the sound.
The lances streaked through the air so fast that the two remaining goblins almost snapped their necks in shock turning towards the source of the sound. Their eyes widening after seeing their companion impaled upon the tree several metres behind them, impaled in three places, their lifeless body hanging motionlessly from the orchid-coloured lances Jon had created.
Their shock born from seeing the sheer strength of the Spell did not go unnoticed, Jon smirking as he changed the direction of his sprint, immediately running towards the two remaining goblins. The Thulian Spellspear possessed the same unnatural sense of balance that Schwarz Eis had told him all Weapon Trait abilities possessed, flourished in one hand as Jon tucked it under his armpit.
Extending his hand forward once more, Jon cast another instance of [Thou Art The Monarch Of Spears And Truth], launching another bident-shaped construct of spiritual energy towards the Fourth Initiated goblin.
The invisible spear-construct struck the Malum Goblin with an incredible amount of force, although was not enough to kill it in a single hit. It wavered, leaning on the tree beside it for support, unable to muster enough concentration to chant another Spell.

Jon did not think that this particular goblin possessed some sort of mental resistance ability, clicking his tongue in annoyance before grabbing Luin under his arm and thrusting out with all the force his enhanced physicality could muster. His target was not the goblin that he had struck with the Spell inherent to his Longinus-Lancea Spirit, but rather the other Third Initiated goblin standing beside it.
The creature raised its mutated arm to block the strike but underestimated just how much strength Jon possessed even without the active enhancements of his Seir-Glacial Heart and Murmur-Glacial Marrow. It tried to slam its enormous fist upon the length of Luin but found the direction of its thrust thrown off by just a few inches, slashing at its arm, screaming out in pain as it was inflicted with an instance of [Orchid Dream].
It could only rely on evading the flurry of strikes that Jon thrust towards it, screaming out as the cross-shaped tip carved deep gashes across its limbs and torso, inflicting it with numerous instances of [Orchid Dream].
The damage-over-time-effect stacked additively, each additional instance preventing existing wounds from closing and causing more and more blood to spill out. The Malum Goblin, drenched in its own greenish-blood, glanced towards its companion standing up on his own two feet, snarling something at him as if to try and attract his attention. The moment it removed its gaze away from Jon, was the moment it felt something slash against the underside of its chin.
A flash of neon-pink was the last thing the goblin ever saw as it raised its unmutated hand towards it neck, trying to stem the incredible amount of blood seeping out of it. Falling to its knees, it tried to lift its head towards the creature that had killed it, but felt its vision darken and death claim it before collapsing onto the ground.
Jon muttered the chant contained within his Thulian Spellspear once again, slashing out at the space between himself and the final remaining goblin.
"Bloom wonderous flowers; thulian rain shall pierce through the azure firmament. Wilt phantasmal petals; orchid hopes shall thrust through the false dream!".
Jon manifested three motes of thulian light in front of him, his brows narrowed as he approached the goblin from its righthand side. The creature watched him, turning its back up against an enormous oak-looking tree, violently swinging its two arms clad in some sort of mutative exoskeleton. A flexible, yet hardened layer of bone replaced the outer layer of skin on its arms, raised protectively in front of itself.
Jon took two steps forward before smiling as Luin trembled within his hand, three lances of thulian light flickering forward, perforating the creature standing in front of him. The ashen-skinned goblin was stabbed straight through the chest, whatever measly physical defences or strengthening abilities it possessed was useless in the face of his Fragment Of Weapon.
The pumping of his Seir-Glacial Heart was the only thing that Jon could hear, still feeling the effects of his chance enlightenment. His breaths were swift but controlled, his mind focusing on the corpse of the final Malum Goblin laying in front of him, before lifting his head, turning towards the direction where Schwarz Eis was still fighting against the Knight Ranked Malum Hobgoblin.
The familiar voice of a bodhi tree echoing throughout his mind, although did nothing to slow down his sprint.
"Wait Jon! We should retreat and allow Schwarz Eis to distract the Knight long enough for us to leave the area. Don't you remember the backlash of [Cometh Thy Red Horse Awaits]? The weakening effect will-." Jon cut off the voice of the Earthen Treasury Womb, narrowing his eyes as he gripped both Assail and Luin in each hand.
"Doesn't matter. With the Fragment Of Eradication and both Luin and Assail I should be able to kill it," Jon admitted, feeling the traces of ice natured spiritual energy towards his north-east. His figure blurring through the forest as he continued to fuel his Fragment Of War with knowledge natured spiritual energy.
He could no longer hear the sounds of fighting anywhere around him. The faint rustling of leaves and the gentle brush of wind against his face filled him with a sense of foreboding rather than a collected calmness.
Jon did not even spare a moment to look at the tasks that he had completed, or the Mortal Title Fragments that he had been awarded. The eighteen-year-old could feel a transformation occur within his Sea Of Knowledge but did not push his perceptions inward to evaluate the changes to his mental construct.
"Jonathan Randall Guilliman! Your Knowledge Mana Core possesses less than a third of its maximum spiritual energy, and both your Wood Mana Core and Ice Mana Core possess so little it might as well be nothing! Do you think that you can defeat a Knight with just two Mana Cores, sharing six fragments between them!" the sound of Ashvattha Rana's voice boomed throughout Jon's mind, causing him to frown, his sprint coming to a complete standstill as his face twitched, faced with the reality right in front of him.
Jon was running on empty. His spiritual energy reserves dwindling after killing nine opponents one after the other. The meagre amounts of wood natured spiritual energy was barely enough to sustain Assail for a few minutes, without the effect of Archetype Green activating without his consent.
His ice natured spiritual energy had almost been completely used up, a scant amount remaining, the bright whiteish-blue lustre of his Ice Mana Core vanishing, replaced with a dull and faded mental image.
Glancing behind him, Jon scrunched up his face remembering just how many goblins he had just killed, remembering that one of them was at the Sixth Initiation. Leaving such a sheer amount of wealth behind went against every logical part of Jon's brain, every fibre of his being urging him to go back and pick everything up.
There were over a dozen different Mana Cores just sitting there behind him, and an even greater number of fragments just waiting to be claimed. Although Jon did not want to admit it, leaving them all behind in order to assist Schwarz Eis was not the smart thing to do.
The White Lady Of The Winter Castle had urged Jon to kill all the approaching goblins and then escape at the first available moment. He had exterminated the nine Malum Goblins before him, all of their integrated fragments and Mana Cores was now his to claim.
Biting his lip, Jon dismissed Assail, sprinting back with his Fragment Of War still active, moving to retrieve all the fragments and Mana Cores he left behind. His expression was angry and annoyed, but Ashvattha Rana could feel that his emotions were directed more at himself than anyone else.
Jon carved open each of the nine Malum Goblins with a brutal efficiency and no sense of self-satisfaction with the feat. With the sheer number of fragments and Mana Cores Jon now had in his possession, his pockets threatened to overflow from the dozens of small fingernail-sized gemstones.
Despite this, Jon did not leave a single one behind, wiping his bloodied hands on whatever piece of fabric he could get his hands on. His clothes already dyed a dark crimson-green, his own blood and the blood of several goblins splattered across his form.
Taking one last glance towards the direction where Schwarz Eis was fighting against the Knight Ranked Malum Hobgoblin, Jon furrowed his brows before sprinting off in the opposite direction. Although he did not agree with the decision, he would not dishonour Schwarz Eis' decision to distract the ashen-skinned beast in order to allow him to escape.
His Sea Of Knowledge surged angrily, the vestiges of fear and whirlpools vanishing amidst the raging tides.
Minutes after, Jon felt Schwarz Eis draw upon the final vestiges of his ice natured spiritual energy. The violent emanations of rot natured spiritual energy and corruption natured spiritual energy subsided a few moments, leaving the forest quiet and soundless, nothing but the heavy scent of blood and gore in the air.
