Jon steadied the surging ice natured spiritual energy within him. With the effects of Ashvattha Rana's [Naraka Of Protection] Jon could feel his four Mana Cores regenerating their spiritual energy at a swift pace, combined with the effects of his numerous passive enhancements.
[Green Is The Flesh, As Red Is The Blood] moderately increased Jon's mana regeneration.
His Hades-Sagacity Shadow dramatically increased mana regeneration.
His Seir-Glacial Heart dramatically increased mana regeneration.
His Longinus-Lancea Spirit dramatically increased mana regeneration.
Unknowingly, Jon had managed to obtain a single increase to the mana regeneration of each of his Mana Cores. Although Rana had told him that it was possible for individuals to gain an even greater mana regeneration for their Rank, it could not be done without integrating specialized Mana Cores and fragments at the cost of more generalized build.
At first Jon wanted to obtain two more abilities related to mana regeneration for his fifth and sixth Mana Core. Having an even six, or technically seven with the addition of Asvattha Rana's [Naraka Of Protection]. Rana tried to persuade against such a thing, although Jon was not having any of it.
That conversation that he and his bodhi tree summon had was the last thing on Jon's mind, taking a deep breath as he felt his Seir-Glacial Heart pound within his chest. The young human did not want to waste any more time, whether it was his own, or the group watching on behind him.
Avahni, Wilheim, Sariel, and Shamael had all moved to the other side of Ashvattha Rana, peering towards the summoning process. Neither of the two satanas had ever seen a summoning ability before, so the pair seemed quite interested in what Jon was about to do.
Extending his palm face up, Jon held the Fragment Of Summon in one hand. Muttering the words associated with this this specific summoning chant.
"From the immaculate White Heavens to the foul Realm Of Loathsome Yellow, I beseech your name and title. I call upon the White Lady Of The Winter Castle, the one who dwells amidst the white depths of the Inverted Ice Mountain, the cold descendent of the Angel Of Ice."
"Adorned in the diadem of an eternal frost, clad in the monstrous, unforgiving flesh of three thousand winters. I call upon the White Lady Of The Winter Castle, the one whose touch would freeze all of creation, the one whose sight would pierce through the veil of three million trichiliocosms."
A cold wind rushed throughout the riverbank, causing Wilheim and the others to shiver as Jon continued his chant. The emanations of ice natured spiritual energy increasing with each passing moment.
Even over a dozen metres away, Avahni noticed that the faint trickling sound of water had vanish and growing shards of ice started to form across the surface of the river. Titus Claudius extended his [Fire Chevalier] Aura outwards, including his summoner within it and preventing her from feeling the sudden change in temperature.
"Her visage wrought from a single cold eternity, her breath carrying the nightmare of an eternal winter, her smile stretching across the horizon, dyeing the sun and stars with the colour of her heraldry! I call upon the White Lady Of The Winter Castle, the one who vowed to retake her place as Duchess Of The Inverted Ice Mountain!"
Both Sariel and Shamael noticed a distinct white colouration to their breath. The hairs on the back of their neck extended themselves, the two satanas trying to suppress the desire to move back towards the safety of the fire behind them.
"The abominable cold whose presence causes life and death to tremble. The horrifying beauty sitting atop her throne of blood and glass. The one who bears the [Right Hand Of Winter], that armour of the flesh, mind, and spirit, that sunders the Realm Of Loathsome Yellow and rends the Realm Of Abyssal Blue!"
The ice natured spiritual energy that continued to flow out of Jon caused frost to appear on the sands beneath his feet. Extending outwards up the riverbank towards the tree line. Although the frost refuse to form underneath Ashvattha Rana or Titus Claudius, Wilheim and the others were not quite so lucky, the floresiensis manifesting his Spell, [Light Of Thou Consecrated Shields] to prevent the ice from spreading any further.
A vibrant golden wall of castle natured spiritual energy manifested itself in front of Wilheim. The encroaching ice was unable to penetrate the lustrous spiritual construct, granting those behind it with an instance of [Bronze Protection]
[Fragment Of Wall] [Light Of Thou Consecrated Shields] (Castle, Wall, Spell, Shield, Defensive, Buff)
Effect (Mortal): Chant, extending one of your hands forward. Manifest a large magical shield around your extended hand, capable of preventing the entry of targeted sources of spiritual energy. Those within the shield will receive an instance of [Bronze Protection].
The height, width and curvature of the Spell is determined through the amount of spiritual energy poured into it. The [Light Of Thou Consecrated Shields] can either be manipulated using the extended hand or placed down in a set location.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
[Bronze Protection]: Increases the effectiveness of all abilities with the Spell Trait. This effect will be removed after exiting the [Light Of Thou Consecrated Shields].
Wilheim did not want to interrupt Jon during his summoning, but he could feel the violent emanations of ice natured spiritual energy overflow from Jon's mortal flesh. Flowing water froze in the vicinity around Jon and the air itself grew too painful to breath from, drying up the insides of his mouth and throat.
Despite this, the floresiensis continued to watch Jon recite the extended chant to summon the White Lady Of The Silver Castle.
"I call you Schwarz Eis! I call you to this mortal world, so that you may serve at thine behest, and begin anew amongst mortals once more!"
Despite the enormous drain on his ice natured spiritual energy, the entirety of the world around Jon grew still as he awaited the response from Schwarz Eis.
The surface of the river beside his camp froze.
The sand beneath his feet grew cold and icy, frost stretching up and down the length of the riverbank.
The air around him seemed to grow thick as snowflakes dripped down from the skies above him. Although both Wilheim and Avahni had seen snow before in their lifetimes, neither Sariel nor Shamael had ever seen such a phenomenon before, looking towards the human with a strange combination of awe and fear in their eyes.
Even Ru Luan Di and Titus Claudius lifted their gazes, towards the faint illusory spectre that appeared on the rivers surface. Jon too noticed this figure, opening his eyes and noticing the immense amount of white all around him.
Even with the inherent resistances given to him through his Ice Mana Core, Jon could not help but feel cold, for the first time since integrating his Ice Mana Core.
Jon felt his breath hitch, hearing an unfamiliar voice whisper softly into his ear.
"I accept your call, Jonathan Randall Guilliman," said the voice.
It was an overwhelming combination of sweet and sultry. Despite Ashvattha Rana also being more feminine despite her existence as a bodhi tree, this creature that Jon had just contracted, possessed a form much too similar to a human being for Jon's liking.
Although Avahni was also extraordinarily beautiful from a human standpoint, part of it was the Asherah-Shamrock Aura that the lutin inadvertently released. Although her appearance was perhaps the most beautiful visage Jon had ever gazed upon, Jon could not feel attracted to the green-haired lutin, knowing that his interest was more in her culture and customs as a whole, rather than Avahni specifically.
The one who was bequeathed the Title of White Lady Of The Winter Castle, caused Jon's Seir-Glacial Heart to pound, the moment his eyes met her own.
Her stature was quite tall, although Jon could quite clearly see that his summon was wearing heels. Despite wearing something on her shoes, the structure and fabric of them were transparent, giving the impression that she was standing on the tips of her toes.
The White Lady Of The Winter Castle was adorned in an enormous and excessively extravagant ballgown, pure white in colour, regardless of whether it was the subtle floral pattern stitched into it, or the ornate bustle that emphasized her hips and waist. All of it was dyed with a white most pure, perhaps the "whitest" that Jon had ever laid eyes upon.
Her form, or their form was quite distinctly feminine. The corset that hugged at their upper body emphasized curves and a bosom that did not seem to match how thin their waist was. Jon almost suspected that this creature could manipulate their own physiology, although did realize he was using human standards to measure the form of the one Titled White Lady Of The Winter Castle.
Lifting his gaze to stare at her face, Jon felt a warmth blossom on either side of his face, his summon noticing this fact, causing a small smile to pull at the corners of her lips.
Schwarz Eis, the one who bore the linage of a transcendent winter spirit, and an unholy lunar demon smiled at her summoner. Her pale white-silver hair contrasted immensely with the dark, lustrous horns that sprouted from her forehead, bending outwards towards either side of her. Their shape was akin to that of a bharal from Earth, although Jon would not dare to mention the similarities between this creature and a beast that was incapable of proper speech.
Her pale face was devoid of blemish or colour, with the sole exception of a single beauty underneath her left eye. Schwarz Eis stared at her summoner with a somewhat interested expression on her face, taking a step forward, the sound of heels clicking on ice echoing throughout the riverbank.
Despite all of this. Her beauty. Her clothing. Her appearance. Her gait. Her smile.
The thing that Jon noticed the most was perhaps the thing that most contrasted her current appearance.
Adorned on her right arm, from the shoulder down to the tips of her fingers was an extraordinarily beautiful piece of armour. Not the kind used during modern day warfare or combat, but a distinctly medieval piece of equipment. Coloured black, perhaps darker than any colour Jon had ever seen before.
An ornate looking pauldron attached to rerebrace and caulter which then extended downwards, encasing her forearm and hand in a demonic looking vambrace and gauntlet. Claws constructed from some black unknown metal lifted themselves, running a finger down the length of Jon's cheek.
A touch of pink could be seen on Schwarz Eis' cheeks, although Jon thought that it was just a trick of the light.
"What an interesting little master I have… I wonder, just what manner of Era have you summoned me in?" Schwarz Eis asked, although her tone suggested that she was demanding the answer rather than requesting it.
Jon caught her armoured hand, feeling the strange metal from which it was constructed from burn the flesh of his fingers.
"We are not in any specific Era", he responded in Common, "This is the System Introduction for the 37th universe."
Jon noticed the subtlest of changes in the expression on Schwarz Eis' face. What he thought might have been an expression of shock or surprise that flashed through her eyes swiftly vanished being replaced with a smile that would have made uninitiated Mortals tremble at the knees.
The White Lady Of The Winter Castle noticed the bluish tinge to Jon's hand, before controlling the effects of her [Right Hand Of Winter]. Instead, a gentle soothing feeling of ice natured spiritual energy coursed throughout his flesh and skin, nurturing them and reversing the damage caused through his reckless actions.
Lifting her head to stare up at Jon, Schwarz Eis smiled, entwinning her hand against his own. Standing on the tips of her toes, she whispered softly in Jon's ear.
"We are going to have so much fun Jonathan Randal Guilliman," she said.
Jon did not deign to respond to her words, instead finalizing the oath between the two of them.
"Through the autumn wilt and the winter death, nothing shall break this oath. Through the spring haze and summers daze, I vow this to the end of thine days."
"Once what was two, shall now become one."
The strangeness within the Fragment Of Summon he had integrated into his Ice Mana Core vanished. Schwarz Eis too disappeared as swiftly as she had manifested herself in this realm, before dwelling within Jon's Seir-Glacial Heart.
