Mage Legend

Chapter 712: Legends and Legends in Legends Chapter Twenty-Six Confrontation_4

The crowd gasped, could it be that Lynch decided to settle the battle in close quarters? Distance is the natural barrier for mages. As long as they have enough reaction time, mages can handle any situation. But once two mages are entangled in close combat, they simply do not have time to counter or interrupt each other's spells; only instant reaction and experience guide everything.

In terms of the complexity of spells, Kuziman had the upper hand so far, with evocation spells emerging one after another, unpredictable to any mage. However, Lynch's left hand seemed to possess great power, able to even reflect the strongest Impact Punch, not to mention a direct hit.

The scene suddenly fell silent, all sounds froze at that moment. Kuziman's face turned deathly pale, his withered skin began to peel off layer by layer. He knew that this was the decisive moment; there could be no holding back anymore.

The sound of bursting and shattering broke the silence. The entire ground began to shake, the violent earthquake involuntarily slowed down the young Great Mage. The Mage Association's square split into two, rocks scattered everywhere, fiery magma erupted fiercely, soaring over ten meters into the air. Amidst the chaos caused by the scorching thick smoke, Kuziman's voice pierced through it all, chanting a powerful summoning spell.

Sigel, a Great Mage of the spell school, recognized the spell and immediately ordered everyone to leave the scene, telling the young apprentices to get as far away as possible. The spell summoned a Death Abomination from the Abyss Purgatory, a powerful creature cultivated from the corpses of Balrog Flame Demons, which had no consciousness other than slaughter and absorbing the pain of the dying.

Before the abomination even appeared, a pair of fiery red arms emerged from beneath the ground, each arm ending in ten twisted black claws. They whistled as they tore through the air, gripping the approaching Lynch tightly.

A fireball exploded in the center of the claws, yet the grip refused to loosen. The abomination pushed away the earth pressing on its head, standing up with a scream. In that instant, the terrifying atmosphere spread across the entire city, a gray-black mist appeared beneath everyone's feet. A soft wailing echoed in every resident's mind, making them shudder at this call from the Death World. The entire city fell silent; even the free wind was too frightened to move.

"Death Abomination, the thing in your hands is your reward!" Kuziman's shrill laughter was as hideous and grim as the monster he summoned. "He is so strong, enough to let you have a hearty feast!"

Another explosion occurred in the monster's grasp, but the abomination seemed unconcerned, instead letting out an excited "gagag" laugh. Without resistance from its prey, it would lose interest. The more it struggled, the more it increased the abomination's strength.

It carefully opened its fingers, wanting to see what its prey truly was. The excitement on its face froze immediately, and instead, the flames on its body suddenly intensified. Like a fireball ready to explode at any moment, the abomination's rage incinerated everything burnable within a hundred meters around it.

Kuziman was also greatly shocked, unable to believe his eyes. Nothing had ever escaped from the grasp of a Death Abomination, not even the gods could. But now there was absolutely nothing in those black hands. Only then did he feel truly afraid, frantically looking around. He knew that if he couldn't satisfy the abomination's appetite, the spellcaster would become the snack of his own summoned creature.

But a more terrifying sound arose behind him, as Lynch quietly appeared behind Kuziman, completely unharmed. Kuziman turned around, his eyes wide open, hurriedly losing all his spellcasting means from his mind. Now his eyes could only reflect Lynch's victorious smile, instead of the gleam of wisdom. With a thud, Lynch's refined gold left arm brutally pierced through Kuziman's chest.

"Turns out you've become a Witch Demon." Lynch's black hair tossed gently, and his red robe flapped loudly in the hot wind, like a victorious banner waving over the battlefield ruins. His calm voice echoed in the ears of everyone present: "Kuziman, finally, do you have anything to confess?"
