Mage Legend

Chapter 619: Legend and Legend in Legends Chapter One Three Years_2

Without Lynch's assistance, the plan to head north in search of the "Savior" was almost shelved. Zilvra and Soka had no idea what the person they were looking for actually looked like, the only information being his identity as a Half-Elf. However, a promise is still a promise, and before Lynch was swept into the Bator Hell, he entrusted this task to Norton. The little demon statue secretly left the All-Knowing Tower while Zilvra and Soka weren't paying attention and proceeded north alone.

Macken the Knight found the legendary Half-Elf earlier than anyone else and kept him by his side, becoming the man's mentor. He taught the "Savior" combat, command, and Divine Arts, then helped him to establish a formidable army in the north.

Seeing this situation, the demon statue left the northern wasteland at ease and flew back to the All-Knowing Tower on its own.

The time spent on this flying fortress could be considered a boring experience for Zilvra. Watching the busy Dwarves around her, she didn't know what she should be doing. For the first time, she felt that she had no place in this Surface World, feeling superfluous no matter where she stood. The things she learned from the Dark Elf world, like scheming, deceit, and cunning, didn't mesh with the pure-hearted Dwarves. These craftsmen could be considered the best warriors but weren't clever strategists. Anything Zilvra casually mentioned would be believed without question. However, there remained one lie that couldn't convince those Dwarves — "Mage Lynch is dead."

Even Zilvra didn't believe that sentence herself, so how could she use it to deceive others? Despite having excellent acting skills, capable of disguising a Drow Elf as the most innocent and naive traveler, she couldn't open her mouth to quietly say, "Lynch will never return."

It was only then that she finally realized what the mage robe constantly fluttering in front of her truly meant.

After a period of silence, she thought about many things in the quiet room. When a Drow abandoned the path of power, Zilvra pondered what she still had and what she needed. She believed that without a spiritual goal, she could not possibly have an ideal life.

So, one day when Soka came to Zilvra's room to visit her "sister who never leaves the room," Zilvra laid out the full story of their familial and blood relations. Surprisingly, there was no astonishment or doubt, and upon hearing the news, the little angel immediately hugged Zilvra's neck and affectionately called her sister. This scene alerted the Dark Elf, thinking her sister couldn't trust others so easily; otherwise, it might very well lead to a big mess.

To the angel, this sister brought a mix of joy and sorrow. With no news from her parents, having a half-sister to take care of her could be considered an immensely comforting thing. However, this "care" was far too harsh. She had to undergo Zilvra's training all day without a moment's rest. The Dark Elf's martial arts are filled with precise and tricky movements, requiring extremely flexible skills. For the Angel, she needed to fully harness her racial advantages to achieve it. Every day, Morgan and Norton would see a white and a black shadow flipping and flying across the grassland of the All-Knowing Tower, demonstrating attacks and defenses. Zilvra only needed experience and instinctive reactions to anticipate Soka's actions, then stop her before the Angel could make a move. The little angel faced this pressure daily, being constrained at every turn, with no opportunities at all.

This made her grow rapidly — or rather, mature. The proud bloodline of the Angel did not allow any other creature to surpass her, not even her own sister. They were a race born for battle, and fighting allowed them to grow swiftly. Soka experienced more battles in two years than an Angel might in centuries of training— no other Angel would spend every minute of every day practicing martial arts.

She grew rapidly, her height and physique far surpassed other Angels her age, her wings became stronger, and more importantly, her mind contained more information about combat. Little Soka's head finally reached the height of Zilvra's nose, and at that point, she won her first victory over Zilvra in her life.
