The Peerless Beauty Stuck With Me

Chapter 540: Blue Star is the Birthplace of the Heavenly Demon from Beyond

Fang Jinxiu turned her head to look at Tang Rao, then slowly extended her fist, and from the middle of the fist, flipped out a middle finger.

"Tang Rao, you shady scumbag." Fang Jinxiu cursed.

Tang Rao: "..."

"You really, with malice for kindness, lack any adorable traits. I'm trying to save your dad here, aiming to grant you a harmonious and happy family. My head is shimmering with the brilliance of humanity. And you? Ungrateful, even calling me scumbag. If I'm a scumbag, you wouldn't find a single righteous youth in this world!" Tang Rao muttered as he started the car.

"You're still a youth; have you no shame? Don't think I don't know that you are from the Seventy-two Domains of the Nine Realms, even once the lord of the Central Emperor Realm, lived for hundreds of years, or is it thousands? You old freak!" Fang Jinxiu spat.

"Damn, I, Tang Rao, am famously known as a prodigy in the Central Emperor Realm, okay? Started Cultivation at twelve, reached the peak of transcendence in just under twenty years, and took charge of the Central Emperor Realm. Go out and ask around, go ask in the Central Emperor Realm, who doesn't call me a legend?! Joking, old freak, daddy here is still very young, little fresh meat, you get it?" Tang Rao said arrogantly.

"Cut it out..." Fang Jinxiu sneered, but a trace of admiration flashed in her eyes.

You know, in the fiercely competitive Seventy-two Domains of the Nine Realms, Tang Rao managed to reach the pinnacle and even take up the position as the lord of the Central Emperor Realm in less than twenty years—an achievement not just anyone could accomplish.

...

"By the way, that notebook you've got, what have you written in it? It's not some love diary, is it?" Tang Rao asked.

"You want to see?"

"This sounds interesting, let me take a look." Tang Rao said.

Fang Jinxiu didn't hide it and directly handed the notebook over to Tang Rao.

Tang Rao excitedly flipped it open, glancing at the road while browsing through the notes.

Five seconds later, Tang Rao tossed the notebook back to Fang Jinxiu.

"Fang Jinxiu, this kind of behavior is not good," Tang Rao said, rolling his eyes.

What the hell, the notes were full of formulas, densely packed. Apart from knowing Fe is iron, Cu is copper, Tang Rao had no clue what the heck was written.

"Did it hit your barbarian-like brain? Tsk tsk tsk, I'm telling you, you should really learn some scientific and cultural knowledge, it's embarrassing," Fang Jinxiu blabbed on.

"Super technology? That was all provided by me."

"Yan Wei told me you just know about these things, but do you understand them?" Fang Jinxiu asked, "And here I thought you were the father of super technology, turns out you're just trash."

Tang Rao: "..."

"Alright, I won't waste time criticizing you anymore. Let me tell you, this notebook contains some of my past ideas," Fang Jinxiu said.

"What ideas?" Tang Rao asked.

"I've always thought that nuclear energy could be further amplified; the current methods of nuclear fusion, I always feel are wrong. Just like how Yan kingdom first invented gunpowder but used it for fireworks, today's nuclear energy is like the ancient gunpowder; perhaps, the way it's being used is wrong," Fang Jinxiu proposed a staggering concept.

"Do you have any guesses?" Tang Rao asked.

"Previously I couldn't figure it out, nor knew where else nuclear fusion energy could be applied." Fang Jinxiu looked at Tang Rao, "But since Cultivators appeared, I think I see a possibility."

"Don't tell me nuclear energy can be used to enhance Cultivator's strength." Tang Rao looked flabbergasted.

"Crazy, Cultivators absorb Spiritual Energy, not nuclear energy, that's suicidal! Can't you use your brain!" Fang Jinxiu directly scolded Tang Rao.

Tang Rao looked aggrieved, fuck, I'm not a scientist, how the hell would I know about this stuff.

You know, why don't you just say it...

"You should have heard that people or animals affected by nuclear radiation will more or less show some physical mutations," Fang Jinxiu said.

Tang Rao nodded.

He had seen similar reports stating that gigantic creatures appeared, suspected to be contaminated by nuclear radiation. However, each time such a report emerged, officials would refute the claims, calling them nonsense.

"These mutations do exist; I've personally seen spiders as big as cows," Fang Jinxiu continued, "Initially, I thought this was nuclear energy damaging the genes, leading to irreversible changes. But since cultivators appeared, I think it might be that organisms can absorb nuclear energy, just like how humans can absorb spiritual energy to destroy and create. Perhaps humans could also absorb nuclear energy and thus enhance their bodies."

Throughout the conversation, Tang Rao was just grinning, shocked by Fang Jinxiu's thoughts.

"Fang Jinxiu, have you ever felt the energy from nuclear radiation?" Fang Jinxiu asked.

Tang Rao shook his head; he was indeed not very familiar with such things.

"Come," Fang Jinxiu directly took out a small box from their pocket with a switch on it.

"When you turn on the switch, a trace amount of nuclear radiation will be emitted. Don't worry, the radiation level is completely within the safe range," Fang Jinxiu said.

Tang Rao nodded, twisted the small box a little, and then gently flipped the switch on.

The next moment, Tang Rao abruptly hit the brakes, the car pulled over, leaving two faint black tire marks on the ground.

"What happened?" Fang Jinxiu asked in surprise, noticing the alarm and unease on Tang Rao's face.

"Dammit, dammit! How did I not realize this earlier!" Tang Rao swallowed his saliva, furiously pounding the steering wheel.

Fang Jinxiu remained silent.

When it was time to speak, Tang Rao would naturally do so.

"Damn it!" Tang Rao smashed the steering wheel until it deformed, becoming somewhat irritable, continuously swearing.

It took about ten minutes for Tang Rao to calm down.

"Jinxiu, I need to ask you for something," Tang Rao suddenly turned his head to look at Fang Jinxiu with utter seriousness.

"Go ahead," Fang Jinxiu nodded.

"I'll get Yan Wei to work with you. I want you to collect all the nuclear material on Blue Star as soon as possible and store it on the Moon. I know it will be difficult, but I hope you can do your best," Tang Rao said.

"I agree, but I need to know why," Fang Jinxiu responded.

"Do you know about the Heavenly Demons from beyond the domains?" Tang Rao took a deep breath and asked.

Fang Jinxiu nodded, "I have some understanding from what I learned in Illusion City. Yet, I've never actually seen them."

"Heavenly Demons can come in millions of forms, but regardless of the form, their heart cores are made of the same material. And that material is this radioactive substance," Tang Rao explained.

Fang Jinxiu was stunned for a moment.

"In the nine realms of the Seventy-two Domains, the millions and millions of stars, this radioactive material has never existed."

Hearing this, Fang Jinxiu's eyes suddenly widened.

"So, you suspect that the Heavenly Demons originate from Blue Star?!" Fang Jinxiu exclaimed.
