Corpse Recovery Diver

Chapter 159: (Part 7)

"Alright, let me wake my colleague to take over the shift."

Fan Shulin hid the magazine, woke his colleague, then packed some tools and left with Yin Meng.

Yin Meng had a red envelope in her pocket and prepared a lot to say, knowing that this Dr. Fan was not easy to ask for help, but she didn't expect him to be so easy-going.

Fan Shulin walked in front and turned back, urging:

"Let's move quickly, saving lives is urgent."

"Okay, thank you."

"No need to thank me, as a doctor, saving lives is my duty, it's what I'm supposed to do."

"Mm."

"What's your name?"

...

Li Zhiyuan arrived at Grandma Liu's house.

When he pushed open the courtyard gate, the floor-to-ceiling window on the first floor opened, and Alii, wearing white silk pajamas with bare feet, stood there waiting for him.

She just showed a faint smile, with not much worry on her face.

Li Zhiyuan also smiled. Since his journeys with Zou Jiang, returning home to see Alii was his most relaxing moment.

But this time, at the second-floor window, Liu Yumei's figure appeared.

"Xiao Yuan."

"Grandma."

"Come up first."

"Okay, Grandma."

Li Zhiyuan first put his backpack in Alii's room, then went up to the second floor.

In the open space on the second floor, the small coffee table was replaced by a large round table today. The round table was filled with snacks and food, so much that it couldn't fit, and had to be joined with two small square tables beside it. There were even several sets of tea sets and plenty of tea leaves set aside.

It was obviously a setup for a large tea party.

"Xiao Yuan, sit down."

"Okay, Grandma, I didn't see Aunt Liu and Uncle Qin when I came in?"

Uncle Qin occasionally went out, but Aunt Liu usually stayed at home most of the time.

"Oh, the plot of land behind the old house is overgrown with weeds, so I sent them both to go and take care of it."

"I see."

Liu Yumei got up to prepare the tea.

"Grandma, you sit, I'll do it."

"Alright then." Liu Yumei didn't insist. She then picked up the silver chopsticks and placed several pieces of snack on the plate in front of the young man, "Try these. These snacks were specially sought out. Not many master chefs know how to make them now, so they are not easy to find."

"Okay, Grandma."

The old and the young sat opposite each other, drinking tea and eating snacks.

Liu Yumei picked up the silk napkin beside her and wiped her mouth.

Li Zhiyuan also picked up a cup of tea and washed down the remaining food in his mouth.

In fact, tea snacks aren't eaten like this; usually, it's a small piece of snack with a pot of tea, then they sit for an entire afternoon. Eating continuously like this can easily become cloying, but he was truly hungry.

On the return trip, it was only through the time and date displayed on everyone's pagers that he realized the lost memory spanned two whole days.

Fortunately, he had eaten his fill before the trip. After two days of deep sleep, plus waking up to an amusement park incident, amidst the tension and excitement, he didn't feel hungry. If he had slept any longer, he might indeed have lacked the strength to fight from hunger.

Liu Yumei arranged for so much tea and snacks just to pair with stories; the significance of this incident was extraordinary to her.

Thus, she didn't want Zhuangzhuang to come and only hear about top-quality ingredients being mixed into a big stew when it was already too late.

Li Zhiyuan blinked at Grandma Liu sitting opposite him.

Liu Yumei smiled and said, "Alright, child, you can start talking now."

As she spoke, Liu Yumei propped her elbow on the table, slightly tilted her body, and looked ready to enjoy listening attentively.

Li Zhiyuan pursed his lips, awkwardly starting:

"Grandma Liu."

"Yes."

"I don't know."
