[Dragon Nation.]
"You devil!! Get out of here!!" A middle-aged woman whose face was contorted with disgust, shrieked, shoving a fifteen-year-old girl to the polished stone floor.
"You are a curse!! Get out! Or you will ruin our family!!" A stern man with the powerful build of a high-ranking Dragon, added, his eyes burning with loathing.
The little girl, her thin clothing already ragged from previous punishments, pleaded through tears that streamed down her whip-marked cheeks.
"Mum! Dad! Please! I am innocent!!"
"Innocent!?! You are saying your sister framed you?!! What will she gain from that?!" The man roared, kicking her back with his foot.
The girl turned desperately toward her elder sister, who sat composed on a plush couch, a flicker of satisfied malice quickly masked by a martyr's expression.
"Sister! Sister…" She crawled toward her, hope the last fragile thing she clung to.
"You know I am innocent. Why would you say I tried to feed Mum acid… I would never do that! You know that!"
Seeing her parents turn their attention to her, the sister's smirk vanished, replaced by an expression of profound, wounded hurt.
"Sister… I can accept your hatred for me," She said, her voice trembling slightly:
"But trying to kill Mum… Are you that wicked!?" She wiped away a single, well-timed crocodile tear.
"Sister… You?" The girl's last sliver of hope shattered. Yet, even in devastation, she clung to the blood tie. She crawled forward and held her sister's ankle, her grip desperate:
"Elder Sister! I am your blood sister! You know I will never hurt Mum!! Why are you condemning me?!"
"Ahhh!!" The sister screamed in sudden, agonizing pain, yanking her leg back and covering her ankle with a dramatic sweep of her hand.
"Mum! Dad!! It hurt!!" she cried.
"...?!" The confused, heartbroken look on the little girl's face was ignored.
"Evelyn!!"
Thekr father screamed, rage overwhelming him. He kicked Eve with such vicious force that it sent her flying across the room. She slammed into a pillar, vomiting a mouthful of blood onto the marble floor.
The two parents rushed to check Evelyn's injured feet, ignoring their younger daughter entirely.
"....?!"
To their shock, Evelyn's foot was severely burnt, blood oozing from the wound.
"This?!" The mother stood up, her face twisted into a mask of pure hatred.
"Are you that evil?!!! You know your sister doesn't have a strong affinity to fire! She is a forest Dragon! And you dare hurt her!!"
"I… I didn't," Eve choked out, clutching her side, the pain blurring her vision.
"You are still lying?!!" The woman's hands clenched, and a thick, thorny vine burst from the ground, wrapping around Eve's neck and beginning to strangle her.
"I… I am innocent, Mo… Mother!"
"Mum! Please stop. Eve doesn't mean to, it was just a mistake," Evelyn interjected softly, the picture of saintly forgiveness.
"You?! You are still helping her!!?" Their mother yelled in disbelief.
"Although she hates me, she is still my sister. And I can't hate my sister," Evelyn sighed, turning her gaze on Eve.
"Instead of killing her and staining your hands, let's just take her somewhere else. We can visit her from time to time."
The woman considered Evelyn's words, her rage cooling slightly into cold resolve. She nodded, releasing the vine. Eve fell heavily, coughing violently, dragging air back into her lungs.
"Guards!! Take her outside!" The man bellowed.
Two guards rushed into the hall, grabbed Eve, and dragged her away like an accused criminal.
"Mum!! Dad!! No!! Please! I am innocent!! I am innocent!!"
Eve screamed as the guards pulled her out. Seeing her parents completely focused on comforting the 'injured' Evelyn, she finally broke. The scream died in her throat. Her hope for her family, the fundamental belief in her blood tie, shattered completely. She stopped resisting, allowing the guards to drag her away, silent tears rolling down her cheeks.
___
"Ahh!"
Eve gasped, her eyes snapping open. She was in a dark, cold room. She moved her gaze around the cell, and saw Evelyn standing in the doorway, a naked, triumphant smirk replacing her fragile mask.
"Evelyn?" Eve murmured in surprised confusion.
"Hello, sister?"
Evelyn dropped her crutches to the side and walked toward Eve, her legs perfectly sound.
"You? Your legs?"
"Oh that? You also fell for my acting?" Evelyn asked, standing directly over Eve.
"But… Why all this? We were happy—"
"—Happy?!!"
Evelyn dropped her composure entirely, the years of bottled-up resentment pouring out. She bent down and grabbed Eve's neck, her grip tightening, cutting off Eve's air.
"You took everything from me! You were born with the Fire Core, and with time, you might become an elite Fire Dragon! While I, as your elder sister, am only born with a Forest Core! Why?! You gained Father's magnificent bloodline while I gained some old man's bloodline! When Mum discovered this, she quickly switched our cores while you are asleep in this room! Giving you the Forest Core! To Father, you are a bastard!"
"But Mum gave birth to me, he should be angry at her!"
Evelyn laughed, a cruel, cold sound:
"Hahaha… You are so foolish. Mum simply said she lost the baby and you were picked up! In simpler terms, to Father, you aren't his daughter! But he still took you in as his own, while I'm the supposed blood daughter with lesser power!"
"So… You set all those things up!"
"Yes! To finally get rid of you! Mum and I had to make you look truly wicked. And your core?"
Evelyn released Eve's neck, and as Eve coughed, she opened her palm, conjuring a brilliant, fierce ball of fire.
"I have it. The Fire Core. You will never see it again."
"Cough!! Cough! You are evil!!!" Eve gasped, fury replacing fear.
"I know… Okay, little sister, I will give you one last privilege. Ask anything, before…"
"Before what?!"
"Shhh… I said you have one privilege." Evelyn turned around, walking back toward the door.
"You Bitch!!"
Fueled by blinding adrenaline and rage, Eve used her last ounce of strength and lunged toward Evelyn, but the gap in their power was absolute. Evelyn didn't even turn; she simply kicked back with casual force. Eve smashed hard onto the ground and spurted a mouthful of blood.
"You want to attack me?! You are only a Core Rank! And you want to attack a Master Rank! Are you that desperate to die?!" Evelyn screamed, a chilling killing intent spiking the air. She inhaled sharply, calming herself.
"No more privilege. I will get your Forest Core destroyed, then sell you off. At least, I will get something of value from a useless bitch."
She opened the door, letting in five filthy men, all in rags, their eyes gleaming with lust.
"Make sure to take care of my little sister. Oh… And Eve," Evelyn smirked, stepping out and beginning to close the door:
"No one in the world will ever want you."
"This! No! Get away from me! No!!" Eve screamed in absolute horror as the men advanced, their lustful gazes fixed on her body.
"I swear, Evelyn!! I will kill you! If I ever get the chance, you will face something far worse than death!!"
Her last, raw scream was not one of fear, but a solemn vow of ultimate, terrifying vengeance.

[Back To Sunny.]
Sunny blinked slowly, staring down at Eve's palm resting on his. He had been a silent witness to every devastating moment.
'Was that?' he wondered, a quiet respect entering his voice.
{Yes, Master. That is Eve's memories.}
'She passed through so much but still has a strong will... Her spirit is even stronger than mine,' he admitted internally. Sunny, who valued unwavering will and strength above all else, saw not a victim, but a weapon forged in the fires of betrayal. He nodded at Eve, his decision final.
"From today onwards, you are my subordinate."
