Far from Red Lightning Academy, in a place unknown to most, stood the developers' headquarters. Even those who came here didn't know where it was. They didn't want a sudden raid like the one 200 years ago. They didn't have enough power to find out where this place was. You had to spend enough time with the developers to prove your loyalty to them. This rule applied to everyone, including the Kingslayers and the Supreme Commander.
Inside these headquarters stood a middle-aged man with black hair and a broad, warrior-like build. His room was located in one of the most central and deepest points of the building. Anyone attempting to attack the room would have to pass through the entire building. However, the same was not true for the man in the room. He could reach the central area in the blink of an eye.
He wore a loose black robe. His chest was almost completely exposed, and the robe was worn somewhat loosely. Emblazoned on one of the robe's creases was a badge that, even to the unfamiliar, revealed his identity and commanded respect.
'Commander-in-Chief.'
That was precisely what was written on the badge.
The middle-aged man had dark circles under his eyes, and he appeared to be sleep-deprived. Perhaps it was more than just sleep deprivation. No matter how strong you are, your body always has limits. He was a little over two meters tall, but due to his perfect proportions, it was hard to notice unless you got close.
"You should get some rest now. Otherwise, they'll think I'm not doing my job properly. I love my job and have no intention of retiring, kiddo."
At that moment, a woman's voice was heard from behind him. She was a little over half his height and didn't emit as powerful an aura. However, her aura was similar to his, and she didn't look as languid as the Commander-in-Chief. She was very dark. She looked as if she'd been wandering around the desert naked for 100 years, so dark was she.
Although her loose clothing hid her figure, her face was beautiful and rebellious. Even if she didn't do anything, you could tell she was impressive.
She also had a badge on her chest. Unlike the Commander-in-Chief, however, she was well-known enough that she didn't need the badge. She wore it purely for show. She was the assistant to the Commander-in-Chief, Taira Hanaka!
She was the first person in 400 million years to serve as Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief!
No one knew where she came from. It was unclear why she always remained in that position. One thing was certain: she could become Commander-in-Chief! She emitted an aura weaker than Michael's because she thought it was ridiculous that, as the assistant to the supreme commander, she emitted a stronger aura than the supreme commander. Even if she was emitting a weaker aura than Michael, that wouldn't mean he was stronger than her.
She showed no respect for Michael now, of course. Just as she did with previous commanders-in-chief.
Michael paused, then shook his head.

"I can't do this. There are constant complaints about the World Tournament, and the army is out of control. How can I rest in this situation? I must go to the Red Lightning Academy as soon as possible to explain the situation to the families."
Taira looked at him, her lips curling in suspicion. Then, she turned her head away and calmly left the room.
"I'm making preparations to leave. You'd better finish this quickly."
Michael nodded. Taira looked at the complaints before him as Michael left the room. After a moment, he sighed and returned to his work.
Some time later, Taira and Michael entered the teleportation capsule and traveled to the Red Lightning Academy.

The weather was growing cold, and winter was approaching. With the end of the year approaching, many Fallen had already left the academy. To graduate, one had to defeat one of the teachers first, but even the weakest Fallen were much stronger than the teachers. Those who had advanced to Level 2 were now guardians and did not need to be fought. The Fallen graduated without doing anything.
At that moment, Jace and Lena were sitting in their room. Lena was lying on her bed while Jace unwrapped her back. Neither of them spoke or showed any emotion. The thoughts they were lost in were identical.
"Everyone is leaving, one by one. Lena, what do you want to do after today?"
Lena bowed her head, pulling the covers tighter around her to shield her breasts from view. She turned her head and looked at Jace with her beautiful, exciting face.
"Where do you want to go, Jace?"
"You know you can't come with me, right?"
Lena laughed softly. Her smile was like a garden of flowers blooming one by one. It couldn't help but affect you.
"Don't answer questions with questions. I want to go with you. Do you have a problem with that?"
Jace shook his head and removed the last piece of bandage. Her skin was as white as milk and so delicate that even the slightest flaw would be visible. Yet, in this perfection, there was no trace of it.
Jace casually caressed Lena's back. This made Lena shiver and blush.
"How can I let you come with me when the Death Seal could go haywire at any moment? No, Lena. When you become the Queen of Pure Healing, you'll be the most desired object of my Death Seal. Even as the King of Mortals, my life would be meaningless until I'm free of this seal."
Lena bowed her head, looking sad. Had there been any other developers here, they might not have been able to resist attacking Jace just from her expression alone. Even many of the Fallen would have been overwhelmed by her unbearable beauty. She had a more beautiful body and appearance than any of the Fallen, including Emma.
She lifted her hair and let it fall over her shoulder.
"Jace, at least for tonight..."
Before she could finish her sentence, she turned around and gently kissed Jace on the lips. Even that gentle touch stabilized all of Jace's emotions. He couldn't resist!
"...stay with me."
Lena reached out her hands and quickly removed Jace's clothes. She threw the covers to the other side of the bed. As their kiss grew more heated, Jace grabbed Lena's waist and pulled her close. Lena had already unbuttoned his pants when their chests collided.
Jace moved his lips from Lena's to her neck. Lena let out a moan that filled the entire room and continued for a long time.
Late that night, Jace crawled out of bed naked. He looked at Lena as if to say he didn't want to leave. But despite that look, he knew what he had to do. He slowly reached up and kissed her forehead. Then, he whispered in her ear,
"One day, Lena, I will be free of this curse. You can be sure of that."
Jace got dressed, grabbed what he needed, and left the room. The moment he closed the door, however, a dark-haired figure appeared in his line of sight.
"Jack..."
"Aren't you going to say goodbye?" Jack asked.
"To you? Or to Lena?" Jace replied.
"To both of you, if possible. But it looks like that won't be possible."
Jace nodded and went down the stairs without another word. As he reached the bottom, he heard Jack's voice one last time.
"I'll see you again someday, unknown man."
In the darkness of night, Jace left the Red Lightning Academy. For a long time...
