Unrivaled in another world

Chapter 93: Hopeless Situation

[: 3rd POV :]

Without a moment's hesitation, King Thrain tightened his grip on the Spear of Zeus.

His body surged with divine lightning, the very air around him crackling and humming with raw energy.

The weapon thrummed as though it had a heartbeat of its own, resonating with the ancient power of its three legendary materials.

"By the forge of the ancients… let this be enough,"

Thrain muttered, his voice carrying over the howling wind.

His eyes glinted like molten metal as he hurled the spear forward with every ounce of strength and mana within him.

The Spear of Zeus streaked across the skies like a comet of blinding violet and golden light.

Clouds fractured and swirled around it, lightning following its path like tributaries drawn to a storm's pulse.

The very rift above the Forbidden Continent shuddered, the protective dimensional layer rippling violently as if anticipating the coming strike.

With a deafening crack that sounded like the world itself splitting, the rift tore open, exposing a jagged wound in reality.

"Look at that…" Kaelgor growled, his leonine voice trembling with awe.

The other rulers watched, spellbound, as the spear blazed onward.

Sylvene's eyes, normally calm and unreadable, narrowed slightly.

"It's not just piercing the barrier…it's forcing the world to acknowledge its presence," she murmured.

The moment the Spear of Zeus struck the barrier, an explosion of energy erupted that no mortal—or immortal—could have imagined.

Waves surged like mountains across the ocean, shattering ships in their wake.

The wind screamed as if the heavens themselves were crying out in alarm.

Light tore through the clouds in jagged streaks, illuminating the sea below with violet and golden fire.

A sound erupted—a roar unlike any natural storm, deep and resonant, echoing across the dimensions themselves.

The skies quaked, thunder splitting in multiple directions at once, while the ocean boiled violently, spraying colossal geysers of seawater that glistened in the frenzied light.

"Is it working...?"

Melira whispered, gripping the railing of her flagship.

Her eyes burned with fierce hope as she watched the divine assault unfold.

"It's…it's actually working."

The barrier itself groaned, its bluish-white surface trembling, runes flaring with an intensity that mirrored the spear's divine energy.

For the first time, the impossibility seemed possible—the seal, ancient and absolute, wavered under the might of mortal ingenuity fused with divine craftsmanship.

Thrain, glowing like a living tempest, let out a roar that matched the fury of the storm around him.

"SPEAR OF ZEUSSHOW THEM THE WILL OF THE DWARVES!"

The rulers could only watch, hearts pounding, as reality itself seemed to bend under the combined weight of mortal determination, divine essence, and the fury of the Spear.

Yet even amidst the cataclysmic display, a cold, distant awareness lingered—the same invisible authority that had crushed Xerath's Orb of Nebula.

From the depths of the churning sea to the heavens split by divine storms, the spear's impact echoed like a hammer striking the foundation of creation itself.

Energy spiralled outward, scattering lightning across the clouds, igniting the waves, and vibrating through the very bones of the rulers watching.

And yet… even with such catastrophic power, the question lingered—would the barrier finally yield, or would the World Order intervene once more?

Yet, despite the cataclysmic power channelling through the Spear of Zeus, the barrier of the Forbidden Continent remained untouched.

Its bluish-white surface shimmered, faintly pulsating as though mocking their efforts, impervious to the mortal and divine might being hurled against it.

Still, the spear did not relent.

Even under the oppressive resistance, it surged forward, crackling with raw lightning, golden energy, and the combined essence of its rare, impossible materials.

It refused to acknowledge that the barrier could hold.

It was alive with intent, as though its will had become one with Thrain's own, hammering relentlessly at the impossible.

Melira's eyes narrowed, her aura flaring with renewed perseverance.

"It won't give up… neither will I," she murmured, her hands twitching with barely contained energy.

The rulers watched in awe and disbelief.

Kaelgor's massive fists clenched as he roared, "If that spear won't yield, then we shall lend it our power! Strike with me, and let this barrier feel the weight of kings and emperors combined!"

Sylthara, the Dragon Empress, leapt into the sky, wings beating storms into existence as her draconic fire and divine essence swirled toward the barrier.

"Then let the fury of draconic wrath guide it!" she bellowed, her flames fusing with the spear's lightning to create a blazing storm of gold and violet energy.

Caelira raised her staff, chanting in the Ancient Tongue.

Emerald energy surged, intertwining with the spear's arc, threads of elven magic flowing like rivers toward the point of impact.

The Demon King Xerath stepped forward, dark fire and shadow spiralling around him, his roar shaking the clouds. "

The spear's trajectory now became the focal point of all their combined might.

Energy coalesced around it like a living tempest—lightning, fire, spirit, void, and divine authority entwined in a single, unstoppable surge.

It pulsed, quivered, and surged with intent, refusing to stop, as if the weapon itself knew the importance of its mission.

Mountains shattered beneath the force of the combined assault, and the seas rose like titanic beasts to meet the energy spiralling toward the barrier.

The sky tore open, the wind screaming in response, lightning arcing between rulers who poured their essence into the spear, creating a visual storm that made the heavens themselves tremble.

"Hold it together!" Thrain bellowed, his voice almost drowned by the roar of elemental fury.

"One minute… one minute and we make the impossible happen!"

For the first time, all seven rulers acted not as individuals, but as a single, unified force, channelling the desperation and determination of a world that refused to lose what had been entrusted to them.

And at the centre of it all, the Spear of Zeus blazed, unstoppable, surging against the very authority that sought to keep the Forbidden Continent sealed.

Seconds dragged like centuries.

The combined onslaught of elemental fury, divine energy, and sheer destructive will hammered against the barrier.

Lightning danced with fire, void energy collided with spirit magic, and the sky above the Forbidden Continent tore open under the pressure of their united assault.

Yet, the barrier remained unmoved, its surface shimmering faintly as if impervious not only to power, but to intent itself.

Thrain's jaw tightened as he felt the strain in his arms and shoulders.

The Spear of Zeus, even fused with his own essence and the energies of every ruler, refused to pierce the barrier.

He gritted his teeth, muscles trembling, and slowly began to pull the weapon back.

With each step backwards, the lightning that had merged with his form began to dissipate, snaking reluctantly along the spear as it returned to his grip.

His body dimmed from living storm to mortal flesh, his aura receding like a tide withdrawing from a shore.

"No…"

Thrain muttered under his breath, his voice low, rough with frustration.

"It… it should have worked. Even a fraction… anything…"

The other rulers stood silently, shoulders tense, hearts pounding with disbelief.

Kaelgor's growl rumbled through the air, deep and guttural.

"Even with all our power… even with everything we threw at it… nothing?!"

Sylthara's wings drooped slightly, the golden flames around her fading.

"It…it's as if the barrier knows our intent… as if it decides what can touch it and what cannot."

Melira's eyes burned with fury and disbelief, her hands clenching so tightly that her nails cut into her palms.

"Impossible… How can it withstand all of this? How can it—"

Her words faltered as she swallowed, realising the truth in their helplessness.

She could feel the weight of reality pressing down, heavier than any physical force.

Thrain slammed a gauntleted fist into the deck, sending a small shockwave across the ground.

"Curse this blasted barrier!''

Lilith's lips pressed into a thin line, her voice almost a growl.

"It's not just powerful. It's… something else. Something beyond even our combined understanding."

The air seemed to chill, and the distant hum of the barrier vibrated faintly, almost taunting them.

Sylvene remained silent, her eyes fixed on the unmoving wall, unblinking, unshaken. She did not speak—not yet—because words could offer no solace for the futility they were staring into.

Melira's fists unclenched slightly, trembling. "We… we have no clue. No clue what could possibly—"

"—break it," Sylthara finished softly, almost a whisper, her voice tinged with awe and fear.

Even with the weapons of gods, even with the might of rulers united, the Forbidden Continent remained sealed.

The rulers exchanged grim, helpless glances, each understanding the same horrifying truth.

No ordinary force, no artefact, no alliance of power could breach the wall before them.

The barrier did not merely resist—they realised with a shiver that it was choosing to endure.

It was alive in its defiance, a silent, absolute authority that left even kings and gods in awe-stricken paralysis.

Thrain lowered the Spear of Zeus fully, his solemn gaze drifting across the other rulers.

"There… there is nothing more we can do, at least not like this," he said quietly, almost reluctantly. "We've thrown everything at it… and yet, it mocks us still."

Kaelgor's growl softened into something closer to despair.

"Then… then what now?"

No one had an answer.

Not yet. The silence settled heavily around them, punctuated only by the faint hum of the unyielding barrier, like a reminder of their powerlessness in the face of a force beyond reckoning.
