The Invincible Son-in-law

Chapter 391: Arrogance Brings Disaster

When the heavens are arrogant, there will be rain! When a person is arrogant, there will be disaster!

Xu Yao thought he had dirt on the two of them, and now he's being overly cocky, not afraid to cause a scene at all.

Originally, Lin Hao hadn't planned to bother with him, but since he's so arrogant, he must be taught a lesson.

Lin Hao pushed open the door with a dark expression and loudly said, "Xu Yao, we have to go to Fuyang County, if you have any issues, wait until Lu Xiaodan is back."

"Lin Hao, don't you dare wave the flag of work. Do you think I don't know what you're trying to do? You despicable fellow!" Xu Yao cursed directly, showing no fear.

Suppressing his anger forcefully, Lin Hao coldly retorted, "Then what do you think I'm trying to do?"

"What else? Clearly you have ill intentions towards my girlfriend. I tell you, don't think just because you're the county magistrate I'll be afraid of you. Worst case scenario, I'll go down with you!" Xu Yao roared viciously.

"Xu Yao, what nonsense are you talking? I only have a work relationship with County Magistrate Lin." Lu Xiaodan yelled angrily.

"I don't believe it. You just became his secretary and now you're talking about breaking up with me. Did he threaten you? You tell me, and I'll deal with him!" Xu Yao pointed at Lin Hao, looking as if he wanted to devour him.

"Don't slander County Magistrate Lin." Lu Xiaodan, afraid he would hit Lin Hao, quickly blocked him.

"Oh wow! Now you're protecting him, yet you claim you're innocent. Get out of my way!" Xu Yao reached out and yanked Lu Xiaodan aside, rolling up his sleeves ready to fight.

Poor girl, wearing high heels, was tossed aside by him, falling directly to the ground.

"Xiaolu!" Lin Hao exclaimed.

He hadn't expected Xu Yao to actually resort to violence and was shocked to see the girl being thrown, immediately rushing over to check on Lu Xiaodan.

Seeing how worried he was about Lu Xiaodan, Xu Yao's anger flared up again, and he charged at Lin Hao with a kick.

Lin Hao, having just crouched down to check on the girl, was caught off guard by the sudden attack and fell onto his backside.

This thoroughly enraged Lin Hao.

Seeing Xu Yao coming at him again, Lin Hao swiftly kicked, striking Xu Yao's calf.

Thud!

Xu Yao fell heavily to the ground, sprawled awkwardly.

Lin Hao seized the opportunity to deliver a hard kick to his abdomen, causing him to scream in pain.

"Help... I'm being attacked... The county magistrate is attacking!" Xu Yao shouted immediately.

Originally intending to give this scoundrel a thorough beating, but remembering his status, Lin Hao refrained from further action and turned to the stunned Lu Xiaodan.

"Xiaolu, are you alright?" Lin Hao offered her a hand to stand up.

"I... I'm fine." Though still shaken, Lu Xiaodan, filled with anger, stepped forward and stomped on Xu Yao.

The seven-centimeter heels struck him, causing Xu Yao to cry out in pain, unable to cry out further.

Clearly not done with him yet, Lu Xiaodan delivered another fierce kick, like a mad tigress.

Bam bam bam...

With a flurry of fists and kicks, Xu Yao rolled around on the ground, eventually calming Lu Xiaodan's fury.

In the midst of Lu Xiaodan's beating, Lin Hao called the police station to report the incident, and soon Liu Bingnian arrived with his team.

Upon understanding the situation, Liu Bingnian promptly cuffed Xu Yao and took him away on charges of attacking the deputy county magistrate.

"Director Liu, Lu Xiaodan is the liaison assigned to me by the government office. You can consult the director there for specifics. As for Xu Yao's assault, you can check the security footage, and for witnesses, you can speak to the security guards..."

"I still need to visit Fuyang County to meet their county secretary, so I must leave now." Having given his instructions, Lin Hao prepared to head out.

"Don't worry, Magistrate Lin, I will handle this situation correctly, and I'll make that stalker talk as well." Liu Bingnian assured loudly.

Lin Hao started the car, glanced deeply at Liu Bingnian, and smiled, consoling him, "Director Liu, just do your best, there's no need to force things."

Ordinarily, Lin Hao should have issued strict orders on how to handle this.

But Lin Hao's approach was unexpectedly relaxed, even reassuring him not to force it.

In that instant, a sense of foreboding swept over Liu Bingnian, realizing he may have thoroughly aggravated Lin Hao, and that his fate might not end well.

A savvy veteran in the political field, Liu Bingnian's intuition was entirely accurate.

Because Lin Hao was already contemplating how to replace Liu Bingnian with someone who could be his ally.

Watching the car vanish down the road, Liu Bingnian's smile gradually stiffened, turning icy and grim.

After about half an hour of commotion, Lin Hao dared not delay any further, driving straight to Fuyang County, knowing he couldn't afford to miss his appointment with the leadership.

Lu Xiaodan was quite speechless over today's events, saying with a pained expression, "Magistrate Lin, I'm truly sorry. That nuisance is lingering like a stray dog. I'll make sure this matter is resolved when I return."

"Have your parents deal with it. I don't want there to be another incident, or else I'll have to replace you." Lin Hao frowned and said sternly.

Lu Xiaodan's heart sank, aware that the leader was upset, and silently cursed her luck.

"Don't worry, Magistrate Lin, there won't be a next time. I'll handle it." Lu Xiaodan assured.

On the road, Lin Hao said nothing more, while Lu Xiaodan immediately called her parents, instructing them to resolve the matter with Xu Yao's parents.

Whether they could resolve it or not, Lin Hao didn't care, as his mind was entirely focused on the state-owned development land.

The car stopped at the entrance of Fuyang County's committee offices. Carrying his briefcase, Lin Hao hurried upstairs, keeping time to walk into Secretary Tong's office.

"Secretary Tong, hello!" Lin Hao smiled, extending his hand.

Secretary Tong, estimated to be in his forties, had met Lin Hao once at a city meeting, and shook his hand with a smile, "Deputy Magistrate Lin, have a seat!"

Seated, Lin Hao smiled and said, "Secretary Tong, knowing you're busy with limited time, I'll get straight to the point."

"Hahaha..." Secretary Tong laughed heartily, "Deputy Magistrate Lin, Secretary Li mentioned the issue of state-owned development land quotas. Our county happens to have excess quotas. How many acres are you looking for?"

Li Jingyi had long briefed Lin Hao, informing him that Secretary Tong had agreed to allocate two hundred acres of state-owned land.

So why was Secretary Tong asking him how many acres he needed?

Clearly, there was an underlying meaning, and if his answer wasn't correct, this matter might become difficult.
