Chapter 119: Battle on the West Side

A dull thud echoed from the west side of the house. From where everyone stood in the garden, though, it was impossible to see toward that direction.

Not long after, a faint tremor rolled from the east. That area was at least partly visible from the crowd's vantage point.

Unfortunately, the sound's origin lay near David's bedroom—hidden by the eccentric architecture of the main residence: jutting walls and protruding sections that blocked sightlines, especially from almost three hundred meters away, and compounded by the thick, shady leaves of the grounds.

It made it difficult for them to know what was happening over there. Still, something black moved there—vaguely, indistinctly—an object of unknown origin.

Clarista and Aurielle could only stare, worried, toward that direction: toward their little brother David's room. The two sisters pressed their hands together and prayed, lips moving silently as they begged for the safety of every family member and every person in the house.

Fani and Devy felt two anomalies at once. One came from the west—a clear disturbance that told them something was very much happening. The other came from the east: it had cast a faint energy, but it felt obscured, as if covered by something. Moreover, the large energy that had been emanating from the east wing of the house had gone quiet—almost as if it had vanished.

Is this Al's doing? Fani wondered, brow tightening.

Is he fighting both west and east at the same time? And is he revealing who he really is? Devy thought, confusion tugging at her—just before Yura interrupted.

"Devy? Do you know what's going on?" Yura whispered, leaning toward him. "Do we need to do something?"

Devy turned to look at Yura, uncertain whether to act.

"I don't know, Miss Yura. I think everything will be fine," she responded.

Yura blinked in stunned silence, clearly unsure what to do.

"Have you… been able to detect where Al is?" she asked again, the cadence of her voice betraying the edge of worry she felt at the absence of the first boy who made her heart race.

Devy scanned the surroundings, pretending to detect Al's presence, even though she was quite confident that, wherever Al was, he would be all right.

Her gaze swept the garden—there were many servants and workers outside right now, construction worker who had stopped their work because of the commotion, a handful of family bodyguards, Clarista and Aurielle—and one figure that had kept nagging at her curiosity all this time… Fani.

Who is this girl? Is she hiding something too? Devy wondered, interest sharpening.

Then—

"Devy!" Yura called, tugging slightly at the fabric of her sleeve. The small motion snapped her out of her reverie.

"I don't sense him, Miss Yura," she answered, voice steady.

Yura looked at her for a second, then toward the house. The reply made her uneasy. Her eyes narrowed; a cold, sadistic aura flared briefly, and a faint, dark-red energy shimmered from her body.

Both Fani and Devy felt that shift in energy and turned, reacting to the new atmosphere.

"Calm down, Miss Yura." Devy reached out and lightly touched her hand. "Do you want me to look for him?"

Yura clenched her fist; her teeth clicked together, and a crease formed in her brow. She took a long breath, forcing herself to relax, and the energy that had leaked from her faded away with that exhale.

She looked at Devy and, in a tone that had returned to casual, almost indifferent, said, "I'm not sure. But it's not necessary. If he doesn't come back… I'll kill him." Her voice was flat—like a verdict. The anxiety that had flared seconds before had simply peeled back, revealing the sadistic streak that was her true nature.

Devy paused, taken aback by how suddenly she had changed. But she already knew—Yura was, at her core, someone with a hard, dominating streak. Even when a fleeting sliver of humanity appeared, that ingrained cruelty was still her defining trait.

Fani watched the two young women. Her curiosity deepened; she could feel it like a prickle down her spine.

These two girls are no ordinary people, she thought.

Meanwhile, on the west side of the house, inside the wide area—

Uncle Acok and Dedy once again launched their assault against Sappe, whose condition was clearly beginning to destabilize.

BUGH! BRAK!

Fists and kicks collided, shockwaves rippling through the room. Uncle Acok and Dedy pressed their advantage, unleashing blows from multiple directions.

Sappe, already struggling with the discomfort wracking his body, was forced into a defensive stance—dodging, blocking, and parrying as best he could. Occasionally he countered, hurling bursts of massive energy that shook the walls, but the effort left even more destruction in its wake. Sections of the house crumbled under the chaos.

"He's ridiculously tough… his energy capacity is enormous. What kind of creature is this?" Uncle Acok gritted his teeth, sweat streaking his brow. "But… there's something strange about his movements."

Dedy gave a sharp nod. He felt it too. The longer their battle dragged on, the more chaotic Sappe's movements became, his rhythm faltering.

Meanwhile, Sappe's inner thoughts churned in panic.

Damn it… these two monsters really are going to kill me if this keeps up…

"Dedy! Increase your energy output!" Uncle Acok barked, arriving at the same conclusion.

"Yes!" Dedy responded. Energy surged as he infused more Vita into his frame. A wave of bluish aura erupted around his body, wrapping him like armor.

Uncle Acok's eyes sharpened, and a radiant white glow enveloped him in turn.

The battle escalated. Swift movements blurred through the chamber, each strike exploding with force. The clash of fists, kicks, and martial skills against Sappe's overwhelming strength filled the air with thunderous detonations. To any ordinary human, the sight alone was miraculous—blue and white radiance colliding violently with streaks of black energy, tearing the air apart.

At last—

BRUGHH!!!

Uncle Acok's heavy strike connected, sending Sappe's body crashing brutally against the floor.

BRAKK!!

Dedy vaulted high into the air, muscles taut as he gathered massive amounts of energy between both hands. His eyes snapped open, gleaming. He inhaled deeply, raised both hands above his head, and then—

Martial Art Skill: Thaedong Hammer Blow!

With a primal roar, he brought his clasped fists down in a brutal arc toward Sappe. The accumulated energy howled downward.

And then—

BOOMMMM!!!

A thunderous explosion erupted, blasting a crater into the floor and rattling the foundations. Dust and debris billowed like a stormcloud, obscuring vision.

Hovering closer, Uncle Acok smiled grimly, convinced the battle was over.

Through the haze, Sappe's figure came into view. He lay sprawled on the ground, flickers of unstable black energy sparking violently around his frame—like a short-circuited machine on the verge of detonating. Though his body trembled faintly, it was clear he was still alive.

Meanwhile—

Dedy collapsed to one knee, blood streaming freely from his chest.

Uncle Acok's eyes went wide.

"Dedy!" he cried, panic cracking his voice.

Two dark figures appeared without warning, cloaked in black. One of them already had a short sword pointed toward Dedy. A shallow slash marred his chest, blood spilling down.

Aliena and Sonu had arrived—just late enough to let Sappe suffer, but not too late to rescue him. For them, the situation was still under control.

"If not for your ties to this family, I would have already killed you," Aliena murmured coldly to Dedy, her blade still wet with his blood.

Sonu, meanwhile, crouched beside the staggering Sappe, pressing a hand lightly to the unstable body that radiated violent surges of energy.

"Who are you people?! Why bring chaos into this house?!" Uncle Acok roared, body lowering into a combat stance.

But the two intruders barely spared him a glance. Their focus was fixed on their task.

"We need to get him to Father. His condition is deteriorating fast," Sonu said flatly to Aliena.

"I didn't expect this… Even after taking the drug, he still lost so badly to just two men. They're true monsters," Aliena replied, her eyes scanning the wreckage.

"You!" Uncle Acok bellowed, surging forward with a massive burst of energy.

BRUGG!!

His strike was intercepted—Aliena's sword gleamed with shadowed energy, erecting a barrier that screeched against his force.

"Ugh… you're truly strong," Aliena admitted, straining but holding. "But forgive us, old man—we don't have time to play with you."

Uncle Acok clenched his teeth. Aliena wasn't an easy opponent for him in his current condition.

Even though she wasn't in good shape either—having already expended plenty of energy earlier against Kareeza—her body still trembled with fatigue.

Uncle Acok readied himself. "You think I'll let you just—"

"Of course," Sonu interrupted smoothly. He had already appeared behind Uncle Acok, Sappe now slung effortlessly over his shoulder.

BRUKK!!

A savage downward kick smashed into Uncle Acok's back, slamming him to the ground before he could react.

"Ugh!" he groaned, pain jolting through him.

Aliena and Sonu exchanged a look, nodded once, and leapt backward toward the doorway.

Uncle Acok forced himself up again, rage and defiance blazing in his eyes.

"You're really stubborn, old man," Sonu said, smirking as he tossed Sappe toward Aliena.

Uncle Acok lunged to move—but Sonu had already conjured a black bow from nowhere. He leveled it directly at Dedy.

Uncle Acok's pupils shrank. Dedy was in danger. He dashed toward him at full speed just as Sonu loosed his shot.

SOOSHH!!

An arrow of condensed energy sliced through the air—

CLANGG!!

Uncle Acok intercepted it at the last moment, deflecting it with his palm. The impact rattled his arm, leaving his hand trembling from the force.

When he spun back, the three figures had vanished.

He scanned the room—bodyguards stationed nearby looked helpless, shaking their heads. None had caught where the intruders escaped to.

Clicking his tongue in frustration, Uncle Acok rushed to Dedy's side. The big man was writhing in pain, blood soaking through his chest. He had spent so much energy that his regeneration skill was sluggish.

Uncle Acok's fists clenched. He didn't know whether to chase or stay—but the priority was clear. For now, Dedy's survival came first.

"What kind of beings are they?!" he growled through gritted teeth, his voice thick with frustration.

---

Meanwhile, on the east side of the house—

Vianna's fist had just been blocked by Al.

The siblings locked eyes, sharp gazes colliding.

The long-awaited battle between brother and sister had finally begun.
