Chapter 125: Three Troublesome Little Monsters

"Just what?"

Su Chen asked anxiously.

"It's just that the owner of this secret manual is rather difficult to deal with."

The Celestial Secret Elder deliberately kept him guessing.

"It has an owner? Doesn't that mean there's no place for me in this?"

Su Chen was greatly disappointed, his gaze gradually dimmed, but the Celestial Secret Elder let out a faint smile and continued, "Not necessarily. Its owner is not a fire attribute Beast Cultivator but three Dwarf Witch Immortals with low intellect!"

"Witch Immortals?"

"Yes, three dwarfish Witch Immortals, who reside atop Sunshine Mountain all year round, guarding a magical fire seed there."

A trace of profound meaning flashed in the eyes of the Celestial Secret Elder.

Su Chen said in astonishment, "Three Dwarf Witch Immortals guarding a fire seed? Grandmaster Celestial Secret, what is this all about?"

"It's a long story, too complex for a brief explanation. But I can tell you clearly that skill attributes do not always mean greater power with higher level secret manuals. Sometimes, even if your skill is only of medium level, you can defeat a practitioner of higher-level secret manuals by using the power of a Spiritual Object. In other words, the level of a Beast Cultivator does not absolutely reflect their power disparity."

"Using the power of a Spiritual Object? The Spiritual Object you refer to is…"

Su Chen seemed to understand but wasn't fully sure.

"That fire seed. Imagine you and your opponent both practicing fire attribute skills; while his manual may be advanced and yours is intermediate, you can surprise him by harnessing the elemental power contained in that fire seed (the Spiritual Object) for a counterattack. As for how to utilize the fire seed, it's simple—completely convert the fire attribute elemental power within the fire seed to your own, thus elevating the fire attribute energy your skill unleashes above others…"

"Is that even possible…"

Su Chen stood with his mouth agape, astonished by this unprecedented theory. It seemed that even fire attribute energy had essential distinctions, making this Beast Cultivator world full of surprises.

"Why wouldn't it be? The world is filled with various elemental energies, and they are categorized into different levels. For instance, the most potent fire in nature is heavenly fire and earth fire, while the weakest is the nascent flame within a beast spirit's body. Once you reach the level of Beast Sovereign, you can partially invoke elemental energy from the world to attack; the fire at that time is the most common flame in the world, flame fire."

Su Chen nodded, finally comprehending the graded distinction of attribute fires. Before reaching the Beast Sovereign level, the fire used is the nascent flame, which is the fire derived from converting energy in the Beast's Qi Sea; after becoming a Beast Sovereign, one can invoke external fire for attacks, referred to as flame fire. To defeat a stronger opponent, one must find a way to obtain a stronger flame, catching them off guard.

"Did you understand the principle behind it?"

"Yes, but are the flames guarded by those three Witch Immortals powerful? How can I obtain it along with that skill manual?"

Su Chen hesitated for a moment but still voiced his question.

"Haha, you little rascal..."

The Celestial Secret Elder teased him playfully, causing Su Chen to be greatly perplexed. "That fire seed is indeed quite remarkable; it's ranked among the top five in terms of fire elemental power—blaze fire. The manual is also above medium level. However, as to how you can acquire them, that depends on your abilities. I can only give you these hints. Moreover, the principle regarding all elemental energies is the same. If you wish to overcome strength with weakness, aside from continual cultivation, you must find a way concerning the level of elemental energy."

As Su Chen was about to ask more questions, the Celestial Secret Elder waved his hand and said calmly, "Sunshine Mountain is too hidden, and only a few in this world know of it, just like those Divine-Demon Ruins."

Before Su Chen could exclaim his surprise, a dazzling white light unexpectedly appeared in the palm of the Celestial Secret Elder. Instantly, a loud bird cry resounded from outside the wooden house!

"My Sun Crow will take you to Sunshine Mountain. From now on, your journey is up to you. Su Chen, remember my words: never let evil infiltrate your inner integrity, remember!"

As soon as the words were spoken, the Celestial Secret Elder suddenly transformed into fleeting pale white lights, disappearing inside the wooden house. Su Chen stood there, staring at them in a daze, unable to gather his thoughts for a long time.

Never let evil infiltrate your inner integrity, remember!

This sentence echoed in his mind countless times, shaking him to the core, much like the heartfelt and piercing reminder left by Yue Dongbei as he was about to leave.

He slowly walked outside the wooden house and saw a beautiful golden bird, its wings shimmered with light, crouched beneath a large tree. It lifted its head, and in its gentle eyes seemed to be a hint of kindness.

"Sunshine Mountain, I'm coming..."

Su Chen murmured to himself as he leapt onto the broad, solid back of the Sun Crow. The Sun Crow flapped its wings, turning into a stream of light, and vanished into the dense forest in an instant…

Su Chen had never imagined that even the Forest of Death could have such beautiful scenery.

Throughout the journey, an azure clear sky stretched overhead, as pure and clean as if washed. The sound of the wind rushed past his ears, lifting his hair and nearly closing his eyes. Gazing down, the lush greenery sprawled endlessly like a boundless emerald sea of waves. The unique geographical features that occasionally appeared left him in awe of nature's majesty. The Sun Crow flew continuously for more than half an hour without tiring before halting in front of a towering, beautiful mountain peak.

Su Chen made a light leap from the spacious back of the Sun Crow, landing at mid-height of Sunshine Mountain, beside a clean, jade-like stream. Then the Sun Crow let out a low cry and, under Su Chen's watchful gaze, flew far away from Sunshine Mountain.
