I Have Infinite Skill Points

Chapter 338 Star Martial Skill Hits the Missile

In short, the Kingdom of Ice and Snow is no easy place, and its Exotic Beasts are fiercely savage. We are rushing to their aid as saviors, to rescue the Kingdom of Ice and Snow.

After arriving in the Kingdom of Ice and Snow, it's imperative to follow commands, as Jade Country has a comprehensive assistance plan in place.

The flight duration is fifteen hours; we'll only arrive in the early hours of the morning. However, due to traveling westward and the time difference, it may still be noon when we arrive in the Kingdom of Ice and Snow.

Having completed the briefing on precautions, the lead tactical instructor Longya directly assigned teams on the plane. Thirty Star Sea Stage tactical teachers were paired with ninety elite senior students, one teacher for every three students. Wang Lan and Yu Ruoyun had already fought alongside the seniors against the Nine-layer Pagoda, so they were fairly acquainted with each other.

Wang Lan was part of the twelfth team, led by an instructor named Wu Shaohua, a dual-attribute Star Martial Warrior with fire and earth elements. Being a teacher from his own academy, Wang Lan was quite familiar with Wu Shaohua's abilities.

Wu Shaohua graduated from the Xiangjiang Star Martial Academy and then served in the military. By the age of thirty, he broke through to the Star Sea Stage. Afterward, he was invited to Modu City Star Martial Academy as a tactical instructor. He had abundant combat experience, especially strong guerrilla combat skills in harsh environments.

His initial attribute was fire, and upon breaking through to the Galaxy Stage, he developed the earth attribute. He never developed any other attributes thereafter. He had already mastered the magma Star Martial Skill, a fusion of fire and earth, while at the Galaxy Stage.

Once he reached the Star Sea Stage, he completed the Magma Elementalization transformation. In combat mode, he became one with magma—magma was him. Among the thirty leading instructors, his strength was also at the top.

However, Wu Shaohua's team had only Wang Lan and Yu Ruoyun as members, which was an obvious favor.

Across the desolate land and continuous ice and snow, a white military vehicle trudged over the snow-covered road, swaying as it came. Perhaps due to the extreme cold, the engine suddenly cut out, bringing the vehicle to a wobbly halt.

Suddenly, a dozen white camouflage covers were flipped back from the snowy ground around the vehicle, revealing an equal number of armed militants in white attire. They carried firearms and pointed them at the stopped vehicle.

"I really dislike this sort of welcome ceremony," one said.

"I know, because this isn't a welcome ceremony. Why would Jade Country send aid? You promised me no nation would dare aid the Kingdom of Ice and Snow, at least not until the end of this year. And now you're telling us to take action right over the head of Jade Country? Do you think we're no longer of any use and just sending us to our deaths?"

"Dear Qiu, calm down, calm down, this is an accident. The inspection team from the Twelve Nations all successfully brought back samples, and I've prepared five mutated Star Martial Toxins for Jade Country. Just think, five toxins capable of seven mutations, any nation would think twice before intervening, right?

"But... my God of Heaven, Jade Country is simply miraculous—they've actually managed to create a vaccine. And not just any vaccine, but one for all seven mutations of five different toxins.

"If I were the King, I would kneel and beg Jade Country for aid, even if it meant turning the Kingdom of Ice and Snow into a province of Jade Country. So, this was an accident."

"Then the original plan is off."

"No can do, the original plan has already commenced, and once started, it cannot be halted midway. If you insist on canceling it, then I can't guarantee what accidents might happen in the Different Dimensional Space."

"What's the capability of the forces Jade Country has sent this time?"

"Thirty leading teachers and ninety wet-behind-the-ears students with no real combat experience. Easy to handle, I believe in you!"

"Bullshit! Thirty leading teachers? Be clear, those are thirty tactical instructors from the Modu City Star Martial Academy, all at least at the Star Sea Stage in strength. Ninety students with no combat experience? Those are Modu City Star Martial Academy seniors, who have all been through three years of battle, each one with rich combat experience. This lineup could annihilate a small country in less than ten days!"

"Yes, they are indeed strong and have a formidable presence, but it's different with you, my dear King. You are the Paradise Birds, a constant headache for the United Nations, which is powerless against you. And besides, aren't they up in the sky? Isn't the sky the divine domain of the Paradise Birds?"

"Fine, state your purpose for being here."

"I'm just telling you, the plan is non-negotiable, or our cooperation ends!"

"Got it, now get lost. If you're not out of my sight in three minutes, I might not be able to resist killing you."

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!—

While Wang Lan and the others were engaged in spirited conversation, the alarm on the plane suddenly sounded.

While the students were still confused, the instructors swiftly stood up and rushed to the cockpit.

"What's going on?"

"Not good, we've been locked on by a missile," shouted the pilot, sweating profusely.

"What?" The group of instructors' faces turned pale.

Star Martial Warriors are powerful, particularly those at the Star Sea Stage, for whom most conventional weapons pose no threat. But this immunity doesn't mean they can stand still and be unharmed by conventional weapons. Rather, it means such weapons usually can't hit Star Sea Stage Warriors.

In a Star Martial Warrior's world, the strongest offense is useless if it fails to hit.

The Galaxy Stage can withstand the impact of bullets, but a rocket or grenade could turn a Galaxy Stage Warrior to dust. And missiles—aside from those at the level of the Five Emperors—no one else can withstand them.

If this were on the ground, they could simply run from an incoming missile. With a single flash, they could cover hundreds of meters and, by activating a defensive Star Martial Skill, they might emerge unscathed.

But now they were in the sky, with nowhere to run.

And even if they could run, what about the hundred students on the plane? These were the academy's lifelines. Even if all the instructors died here, they had to ensure the safety of every student—it was their duty.

So, when they heard the plane was locked onto by a missile, their faces instantly turned grim.

This was a covert flight path. Apart from Jade Country and the Kingdom of Ice and Snow, no one knew the plane's route and takeoff time. How could there be a missile attack on them? Almost instantly, they thought of the Kingdom of Ice and Snow.

"Is it possible to shake it off?"

"Sir, that's a Punisher Missile we're talking about, with a speed of Mach 6. There's not a single plane in the world that can shake that off."

"What about evading it?"

"This is a large passenger airliner, not a fighter jet. Any abrupt evasive action could cause the plane to disintegrate mid-air. I can only make some minor evasive maneuvers... Not good, they're coming."

Suddenly, several dots appeared on the plane's radar sensor, rapidly approaching.

Upon seeing the number of these dots, the color drained from the pilot's face.

"Twelve missiles—" His voice was a shrill crack, as if his throat was being torn apart.

"What do we do?"

"You evade; I'll reinforce the plane's defenses," Instructor Wen Liang barked, his figure flashing towards the inner wall of the cabin, slapping his palm against the aircraft's fuselage.

Almost instantly, the instructor's body turned a silver color, like liquid mercury. This liquid metal rapidly spread across the entire fuselage.

But the airplane was too large. Even as a Gold Attribute Star Martial Warrior at the Star Sea Stage, it was unlikely he could cover the entire aircraft with his Star Martial Skill.

Suddenly, the airplane dipped dramatically, and everyone inside lurched violently. Fortunately, since everyone had fastened their seat belts when the alarm sounded, no one was sent flying.

Wang Lan glanced out of the corner of his eye and saw the plane's wing outside the window seemingly turn into actual wings and flap.

Right after, streaks of light flashed over the top of the plane.

Damn!

Wang Lan's scalp tingled intensely. Even though those streaks of light only flashed by in a fraction of a second, he was certain he hadn't misseen. If they weren't UFOs, then they could only be missiles.

"The main cabin in the middle—" the pilot let out another roar.

BOOM—

A loud explosion resounded, and a burst of fire erupted on the airplane.

It's over! In that one-thousandth of a second, this thought crossed Wang Lan's mind.

Indeed, it was over. The airplane had been hit by a missile. Given the plane's armor, it was almost certain to disintegrate in mid-air.

However, the anticipated disintegration did not happen. Instead, a black carapace suddenly rose at the point of impact, firmly covering the outer wall of the airplane like a tortoise shell.

At the very last moment, the Gold Attribute teacher had conjured the protective armor. Although he saved the plane, he violently coughed up blood, his elementalized body weakening and slumping against the aircraft's exterior.

Elementalization might change the structural makeup of a Star Martial Warrior's body, but the elements used are still part of the warrior's actual body. Using Elementalization to conjure up a metallic shield to block a missile was equivalent to taking the blow with his body.

"Wang Lan—" Wu Shaohua's voice erupted.

"Coming!" Wang Lan immediately unbuckled his seat belt, his figure flashing towards the area outside the cockpit. Just then, the airplane started shaking violently again.

"What's happening?"

"Sir, quickly remove the armor around the plane! You're affecting the airflow," the pilot yelled, struggling to stabilize the airplane.

"COUGH, COUGH, COUGH— Understood!"

The armor around the exterior of the plane vanished in a shimmer of light. But Wen Liang still dared not let his guard down. Of the dozen or so Punisher Missiles, only one had been successfully intercepted, and these missiles all had tracking capabilities.

Light shone brightly around Wang Lan as the Song of Life activated to quickly heal the instructor's injuries.

"Instructor Wen, are you okay?"

"Took one hit, body damaged by thirty percent. But now it's already recovered by ten percent... Not bad, not bad, kid, your Medical Star Martial Technique is no less effective than Vice President Han's."

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!— The urgent alarm sounded again. "Not good, they're coming again."

"How many can you evade?"

"At most seven. But there are four I can't evade."

"Report the positions of the four!"

"Wen, you're going to die."

"Better me than all of us, right?"

"Fellow teachers, can't we intercept the missiles?" Wang Lan hurriedly asked.

That question drew a few incredulous looks.

"With speeds over Mach 6, how can we intercept? We don't even have time to activate Star Martial Skills."

"I'll try it!"

Wang Lan didn't wait for approval. In a flash, using Phantom Tracer, he appeared at the airplane's cabin door. He quickly fastened a safety strap to his own belt and then hurriedly opened the door.

The moment the cabin door opened, everything loose inside was instantly sucked out of the airplane. If not for everyone being buckled up, they all would have been ejected along with the plane's contents.

No sooner was he sucked out of the cabin than Wang Lan saw three dots whizzing towards the plane's belly with terrifying speed.

"Dynamic vision, activate!"
