Don't Mess with That Dragon

Chapter 037: Target Planning (Second Update)

"I wonder how far the war on the other side has progressed now."

Before Austin crossed over, the allied forces had already suffered a blow that seemed to come from a nuclear attack, and the amassed army was completely devastated under the cliffs in the core area by that terrifying explosion.

After that massive defeat, the allies once again drafted the beastmen from the outskirts of the Kawa Great Forest, gathering a large beastmen army in preparation for a second counterattack.

Austin was very interested in the Fragment of the Gate of Truth held by the Beastman Royal Court in the core area.

Especially considering how much he had gained from his previous journey to the Martial Hero World.

If he could use the fragment to complete the Gate of Truth and restore its ability to traverse between worlds, it was an opportunity Austin simply could not refuse.

However, he wasn't completely reckless.

"This matter needs to be carefully planned out."

In such a high-stakes war, being able to cloak himself under the guise of Celestial Dragon Island was already a stroke of luck.

To seize any benefits, thorough preparations were necessary.

Moreover, his own strength was somewhat lacking.

Not reaching the Legendary realm, he was still merely a high-level enforcer.

Hadn't he slain the envoy from the allied forces, the Half-Legendary dark-striped tiger man, Vira?

Yet the allied forces showed no reaction at all, right?

The tiger skin he wore could only be a temporary deterrent, and not a permanent shield. In the case of any unexpected events, ultimately, he could rely only on his own strength.

"First, enhance my strength. At least reach the Legendary stage before the great battle, to qualify for reaping benefits amidst the chaos!"

In an instant, Austin had made up his mind.

Due to the crossing, the path to the realm ahead was clear, with no obstacles, except for the lack of sufficient Magic Power.

"The location of the Dragon's Nest is rather remote, and even if the whole Dragon Nest Tribe is mobilized, gathering enough magic resources is difficult, unless destructively mining the various Magic Ore Veins, but that's impossible; depending solely on the Clan Tribe to gather magic is still a bit slow."

Austin began to ponder.

To elevate his strength and collect more Magic Power for his breakthrough, additional auxiliary methods were needed.

In the end, Austin turned his gaze to the numerous martial arts memories he had brought back.

"Perhaps, I can perform a magic modification on a martial art that devours the Magic Power between heaven and earth for support."

In the Martial Hero World, there existed a heretical martial art that absorbed others' power for one's use.

Back when Li Hu traveled the world, he naturally acquired and studied this martial art.

Unfortunately, no matter how it was researched and optimized, the issue of chaotic True Qi from absorbing others' power couldn't be resolved.

That path was too narrow, unable to reach the other shore.

In the end, Li Hu had to modify it to devour Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi for one's own use.

Unfortunately, the human body was too fragile to withstand the massive, explosive Primordial Qi's erosion, and unprocessed Primordial Qi entering the meridians would only blow a person to bloody pieces.

Ultimately, that martial art came to an unsatisfactory end, left untouched by Li Hu in a corner.

"The human body is fragile and can't withstand the influx of Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi, but the body of a Giant Dragon is different. Moreover, my original body has been tempered by lava and further compressed and refined by the Law of Power, making it almost as tough as a Divine Weapon, fundamentally unafraid of Heaven and Earth Power's impact."

"What's more, while the Heaven and Earth in the Martial Hero World is filled with Primordial Qi, this world is imbued with Magic Power, which, unlike uncontrolled Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi, can be manipulated with strong Spiritual Power."

"By altering this technique to a Secret Technique that devours the Magic Power of heaven and earth, perhaps I could greatly reduce the time needed to accumulate magic power and advance to Legendary!"

A decision had already been made in his heart, but Austin was not in a hurry.

Apart from his cultivation level, he also needed to enhance his combat methods.

The divine sword forged with the Law still resided within his dragon body, being nourished by the dragon's might and vast Magic Power.

Initially condensing the Law Divine Sword was a result of delving deeply into the concepts from novels he had read in his previous life, trying different approaches.

Now, after decades of experience in the Martial Hero World, he also learned about numerous secret techniques in the Martial World for nurturing the Law Divine Sword.

With his expanded perspective, the way to nurture the Law Divine Sword had to be improved, and he had even better methods now.

Then there was the issue of the Four Spirits Sword Array.

Previously, when Austin crafted the Four Spirits Sword Array, he merely relied on the mysterious connection between the four Law Divine Swords and the imagined images of the four Holy Beasts to stabilize it, thus achieving the sword array.

This method was extremely crude, akin to primitive humans sharpening a Wooden Spear as a weapon.

He knew how it worked but not why it worked, so he had to strain to make do.

But now, everything had changed.

In the Martial World, he had studied the discipline of array creations passed down by the Dao Ancestor.

His understanding of arrays was crystal clear.

In Austin's current view, if he organized the layout of his simplistic Four Spirits Sword Array according to an array structure,

its power could increase at least threefold!

Lastly, there was the application of the Law of Power and the development and application of the combination of the four swords.

All these required Austin to devote time and energy to research.

"So the next plan is to seclude myself, organize various knowledge systems, and boost my own strength as quickly as possible!"

After setting the upcoming plan, Austin stood up.

With a complex gaze, he glanced around the spatial area and then turned to leave it.

As soon as he stepped out, the space beneath the vortex seemed to lose some sustaining force, collapsing like a waterfall.

The spatial fluctuations shook violently, causing the ground to tremble faintly.

Clearly, without the support of the Gate of Truth, that space had collapsed.

At the bottom of the lake reservoir, nothing else remained.

He didn't linger for long and flew swiftly towards the water's surface.

Returning to the tribe, Austin summoned a beastman, and only after inquiring did he learn that merely three days had passed.

In the Martial World, three to four decades had gone by, yet in the Main World, it had only been three short days.

The time difference was indeed astonishing.

Fortunately, due to Austin's regular seclusion and cultivation, most major affairs had been handed over to Vini and other high-ranking beastmen, so there were no disturbances from his absence in those days.

However, as the Dragon Nest Tribe developed rapidly and expanded, Vini and other high-level Dragon Nest Beastmen were starting to find their management capabilities stretched to the limit.

It was nearly ten years since Austin established the Dragon Nest Tribe and gathered the Dragon Nest Beastmen.

In ten years, from having only seven and a half Kobolds, the Dragon Nest Tribe had grown to over 130,000 individuals, marching toward a population of 150,000.

The Dragon Nest Tribe's territory had expanded to a fourth outpost, connecting to form a vast area.

An enormous region, with a massive population.

In the Human World, it would even compare to some remote, weak Duchies.

This was reaching the limit of the talent and management ability of Vini and the other high-ranking members of the Dragon Nest Tribe.
