Re: God of Formation.

Chapter 141: Coming Out.

Jun Wu and Mei Ling could not believe what they had learned from the old prophet.

Their previous expectation was to discover why ruins appeared all over the world and why the historical records were incomplete.

But now they understood that things were more complicated and dangerous than they had ever imagined.

Whoosh!

Inside the Shadowless Region, the space trembled and the air twisted inside out. Suddenly, all the darkness around the area seemed to retreat, and a space creak resounded.

From the crack, two young people stepped out. They were Jun Wu and Mei Ling.

Stepping out of the crack, the crack disappeared, and the darkness that had previously receded began to return as if it wanted to swallow them.

"Not this again…" Jun Wu muttered and pulled the Star Radiance Flowers from his storage pouch.

"Now, how do we find our way out?" Mei Ling asked, creasing her brow.

This was an important question, but unfortunately, they did not have an answer.

Who would have thought that coming out of the ruin would lead them to a different location?

"Our only choice is to pick a random direction," Jun Wu replied and began to walk forward.

Mei Ling agreed with his decision and followed.

They had barely walked for ten minutes when they heard the sound of battle in the distance.

The two exchanged a knowing glance and changed direction immediately. Right now, being implicated in a useless battle was the last thing on their minds.

However, they had barely taken a couple of steps when they heard a cry for help behind them. The voice belonged to a young woman.

A couple of meters behind them, a young woman was escaping with all her might. Her hair was disheveled, robes torn, and her body riddled with various injuries.

From the corner of her lips, blood dripped continuously as she escaped. Right on her heel, three men chased her. Their faces were filled with anger and something more sinister.

Just when the woman thought everything was over, she saw two Star Radiance Flowers in the distance.

Without hesitation, she rushed toward them while screaming for help.

"P-Please help me…" she cried. "I'll share my portion of Moon Peach with you."

Right now, she did not care about the Moon Peach. She just wanted to escape from the clutches of those chasing her.

"Go away. Don't implicate us," Jun Wu said coldly.

They had already tried to avoid her, yet she dared chase after them. If she was not trying to implicate them, then what was this?

"P-Please…" Her voice became desperate as she saw the two increasing their pace. She had already exhausted all her spiritual energy and had no strength left.

They were her only hope.

Suddenly, Jun Wu and Mei Ling stopped in their tracks.

"Are you the leader of the group we met previously?" Mei Ling asked, turning to look at her.

Hmm?

The young woman was confused for a moment before it dawned on her. Right, her team had met two people who were not interested in fighting for the Moon Peaches.

Although she wanted to invite them to her team, they were not interested. Thus, they had gone their separate ways.

But who would have thought they would meet again.

"Yes. Yes. I'm the one," she cried. "Please save me."

Listening to their conversation, the three men's expressions darkened.

"Get lost! Don't get involved in our business," the man leading the group snapped angrily.

Now, the girl had found two more people. They knew their plan would not go as smoothly as they thought. Still, they were not ready to give up.

Besides, they realized the girl was merely a martial artist. How could she stop them? As for the second person, they could not sense his cultivation.

The girl also understood that her situation was not entirely safe either. But she believed that with the three of them working together, their chances would be higher than with her alone.

Unbothered by their thoughts, Mei Ling looked at the girl and asked, "Do you know a way out?"

Hmm?

The girl was stunned for a moment before she responded quickly. "Of course, I know a way out."

Without knowing how to leave such a dangerous place, why would she dare to venture inside to fight for the Moon Peaches?

"Good," Mei Ling nodded. "You will lead us out."

Jun Wu stood beside her without speaking. He agreed with her decision.

Their main objective was to leave the region, and with her serving as a guide, they would face any problem.

"What are you doing?" one of the three men shouted, pointing his saber at them. "Do you think the three of you can stop us?"

"Why don't you try?" Jun Wu said casually.

Watching Jun Wu's arrogant words, the girl was stunned, confusion marring her face. She could not understand why he would utter such a daring challenge without any cultivation.

"Let's form a defensive formation and we can hold them back," she suggested.

"Fool," one of the men sneered. "You think you can hold us back? Naive."

"Kill!"

The three brandished their weapons and rushed forward. Their eyes burned with killing intent.

Previously, they had been after the Moon Peach and rapping the girl, but now all they wanted was to kill this arrogant bastard and capture the two girls.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The three young men had barely closed half the distance when a barrage of attacks appeared before them.

Mei Ling raised her Runic Revolver and fired three shots in quick succession. Beside her, Jun Wu's reaction was not any slower.

Six Wind Blades cut through the air, targeting their vital spots.

Ahhhh! Ahhhh! Ahhh!

Instantly, a soul-rending scream escaped from their mouths as they were attacked on all sides.

The energy shot through their defenses while the wind blades delivered the killing blow—severing their heads.

Thud!

They fell to the ground, their blood dying on the earth. Even in death they did not understand how they had been killed by two people weaker than them.

As for the girl, she stood frozen. Her heart pounded heavily against her chest like a war drum.

"We've helped you. Now, lead the way."

The girl nodded, coming out of her daze. Although she had many questions in her heart, she knew prying into other secrets might affect their relationship.

From a small cross bag at her waist, she took out a small map and studied it for a moment before she announced, "We need to go this way."

Jun Wu and Mei Ling did not speak but merely nodded.

Thirty minutes later, Jun Wu and Mei Ling noticed the darkness around them had begun to thin out.

Slowly, the two let out a sigh of relief. Their gamble had paid off. Choosing to trust a stranger in the Shadowless Region posed a significant risk.

But now…

Finally, they walked out of the Shadowless Region and could not help but breathe a sigh of relief.

The girl turned and looked at them. "Is this your first time inside the Shadowless Region?"

"Yes," Jun Wu nodded, not intending to hide it. Besides, it was obvious enough not to hide.

"I knew it." She smiled. "I'm Ai Lian. Thank you for saving me." She bowed slightly.

"Mis Ai, it's nothing. Without you, we wouldn't have come out of the region yet," Jun Wu replied casually.

"Alright. Let's go. There is a small town not far from here." Ai Lian gestured for them to follow her.

Quickly, they arrived at a small town and saw many master realm warriors and martial artists everywhere.

Most were in groups of three and five.

Ai Lian led them into a small tavern. She ordered food and drink.

The three ate and drank in silence. Around them, men and women talked in loud voices.

"Are you really not interested?" she asked.

Jun Wu and Mei Ling shook their heads. They were not greedy for what did not belong to them.

She had agreed to share the Moon Peach with them but could not believe they would refuse.

This was the first time she had seen anyone refuse such an alluring bargain.

Although splitting a single Moon Peach would reduce its potency, the energy was still enough to elevate their strength.

Mei Ling, with her aloof expression, asked directly, "Please, tell us about this town and why there are so many people."

"Alright…" She nodded, and a bright smile appeared on her face. She realized these two were different from anyone she had ever known.

They were not following her because of clan influence or trying to exploit her. They stayed true to their word.

These were friends worth befriending.

Without holding anything back, she explained the history of Shadow Town to them.

In addition, she even promised to obtain them a complete map the following day if they wished to continue exploring the Shadowless Region.

After their drink and learning about the Shadowless Region and town, each retired to their rooms.
