Seated inside a special chamber covered by a Sound Barrier Array, Jun Wu and five others sat staring at each other.
For a moment, no one spoke, and the room descended into a silence as deep as a graveyard.
Mei Ling wore her usual aloof expression.
Beside her, Yuan Lan had a sweet smile on her lips, her beauty was refreshing and pleasing to the eyes compared to Mei Ling's cold demeanor.
Across from them sat Bao Lu, a talented alchemy apprentice in his mid-twenties. He was neither handsome nor plain—just somewhere in between.
Next was Shao Lin, a young man from a humble background. He sat with visible nervousness, head lowered as he fidgeted with his hands.
The last was a middle-aged man in his early forties. He was an elder from the Array Association but awakened his Master Teacher talent.
His name was Long Fei.
When Jun Wu noticed that the time was right, he began, "Congratulations, everyone, on becoming Master Teachers."
Master Teachers.
Everyone raised their heads, staring at him in shock and confusion.
They had all believed they had awakened a hidden talent that would make their names renowned throughout the region.
But now, they realized they had misunderstood something.
"You don't need to be confused," Jun Wu said calmly. "I'll explain everything."
He slowly began explaining what a Master Teacher was and their importance in the world. As the five listened, their hearts trembled with awe.
A Master Teacher was far more extraordinary than they had imagined.
"Now, I believe everyone understands what a Master Teacher is," Jun Wu said.
They all nodded, even the aloof Mei Ling inclined her head slightly.
"Good. Let's move to the second stage… the Master Teacher Domain," Jun Wu continued.
The room fell silent again as they listened to his explanation. The more they learned, the more shocked they became.
"Every Master Teacher possesses an individual domain that defines their area of expertise," Jun Wu explained. "However, a true Master Teacher must also have knowledge in other fields, even if not to the level of an expert."
"Before I continue, let's share our domains," Jun Wu said. "My domain is Array Formation."
Long Fei looked at Jun Wu and spoke next. "My domain is also Array Formation."
Hmm?
Everyone turned to him in surprise. They hadn't expected to encounter duplicate domains right from the start.
"This is to be expected," Jun Wu said calmly. "The world is vast; do you think a single Master Teacher could ever cover it all?"
Instantly, a look of realization appeared on their faces.
He was right, the world was too vast. Even ten Master Teachers in the same domain would not be enough.
"Please, let's also introduce ourselves properly," Jun Wu advised. "We are now on the same path and must look out for one another."
No one spoke, but everyone silently agreed.
"I'm Bao Lu, Alchemy Domain," Bao Lu said calmly.
"Good. Next."
"I'm Shao Lin, Cultivation Domain," Shao Lin said in a low voice.
Everyone froze, stunned by his words.
Cultivation Domain?
What was that supposed to mean?
Sensing their confusion, Jun Wu asked, "Shao Lin, can you tell us about your domain?"
"Yes, Young Master," Shao Lin said nervously. "My domain focuses on teaching others about cultivation and correcting flaws in their cultivation methods."
Jun Wu nodded with a faint smile. "That's quite a broad domain. Shao Lin, you have a lot of work ahead of you. I can't wait to hear your name spread throughout the region."
"Thank you, Young Master. I won't disappoint you," Shao Lin said humbly.
Jun Wu shook his head. "Shao Lin, you're now a Master Teacher—you must change your demeanor. How can you hope to influence others if you remain timid? That attitude may hinder your path."
"Courage and confidence come first, followed by pride—not arrogance, but the kind of pride that belongs to a Master Teacher. In this world, we are the pathfinders blessed by heaven's favor. If that alone isn't enough to make you proud, then nothing will."
Everyone listened intently. They knew Jun Wu was addressing Shao Lin, but the lesson was for them all.
Jun Wu's gaze swept across the group. "Your lives will no longer be the same. Wealth and fame will soon follow you. But remember—these are merely means to an end, not the end itself."
"As Master Teachers, our ultimate pursuit is the Dao—to enlighten souls and guide others. But this path is filled with thorns and trials. That is where you will be tested, where you must prove yourselves worthy."
"Are you worthy to be Master Teachers?" His calm yet powerful voice echoed within the chamber.
"Although killing a Master Teacher brings a curse," he continued, "the shame that comes from being killed by ordinary people can never be erased. So, you must be wise, sharp, and knowledgeable in the ways of the world."
"Do not let anyone or anything sway your heart. If Heaven can choose you, it can also abandon you."
Jun Wu paused, letting his words sink in.
This was his duty as the first chosen Master Teacher—to be their teacher before they could become teachers to others.
When he saw that everyone had grasped the gravity of his words, he nodded.
"Next."
Yuan Lan lifted her head slightly and said, "I'm Yuan Lan, Rune Domain."
Rune Domain!
Everyone was stunned again. Even the aloof Mei Ling couldn't help but glance at her. Jun Wu, however, showed no surprise.
"You don't need to be confused," he said. "I happen to know a thing or two about runes. Meet me after the gathering."
"Really?!" Yuan Lan's eyes widened in disbelief.
She had only learned about runes during the awakening ceremony.
There were no records or teachings about them in their entire region. She had been worrying about where to even begin her studies, but now…
"Young Master, thank you," she said, bowing slightly.
"It's nothing. We're both Master Teachers now. I can share some knowledge with you but remember, everything stays within this circle."
"I understand."
"Good. Next," Jun Wu said, turning toward the aloof Mei Ling, curious about her domain.
Without any change in expression, she said coldly.
"I'm Mei Ling, History Domain."
