The Last King Of Darkness

Chapter 574: The Source of All Evil_2

Asa shouted excitedly.

"I believe the Supreme Will is the mastermind behind all this. It must be the source of the Black Fog, and after being severely injured and dying, it had to create the Ancient Evil Thought as its lackey, infiltrate humanity, destroy their unity, overthrow their governments, extinguish their Holy Fire, and finally allow the Black Fog to rule the world. Then it can resurrect in absolute darkness!"

"According to my understanding, such a powerful God is impossible to completely die. Its Divine Body or Divine Soul must be preserved somewhere or turned into an indescribable monster. As long as we kill its remnants, we can eliminate the source of the Black Fog and usher in a clean, pure world!"

Asa's voice was enthusiastic and impassioned, but Rod furrowed his brow deeply.

Asa's meaning was very clear; the source of all disasters is the Supreme Will.

It unleashed the Black Fog, created the Ancient Evil Thought; it is the ultimate King of Evil. As long as it is killed, everything will end.

However.

When the Book of Knowledge awoke, it clearly told him that the way to eliminate the Black Fog and save the world lies in the high-level Spirit Realm.

Only by thoroughly purifying the high-level Spirit Realm can darkness be shattered and light be welcomed.

There is a certain contradiction between these two statements.

And the Book of Knowledge couldn't possibly deceive him.

Asa might not be so certain; his loyalty is questionable.

Although Rod believes he wouldn't rebel rashly, it's entirely possible that he might add a twist to such a significant matter to make it align more with his own interests.

For example, killing the monster corrupted by the "Supreme Will" might not end the darkness, but it could allow Asa to become the King of Evil Thoughts or King of the Excrement.

Therefore, Asa has a complete motive to act this way.

The biggest doubt lies in his nature of being an Evil Thought. Even if he doesn't want to become the Supreme Will's puppet, he probably wouldn't have too much enthusiasm for "eliminating the source of the Black Fog and ushering in a blue world."

Rod thought for a moment and decided to be direct.

"Asa, from your words, I hear your longing for the blue world...can you tell me why?"

"You are indeed worthy, Master!"

Asa shouted excitedly.

"I have indeed changed my perspective, leaning more towards building a clean and pure world!"

Rod asked in surprise, "Why?"

"Because from Amon's evil thoughts, I learned a truth. In a world ruled by darkness, monsters do not excrete, and I can't control excrement! The Black Fog is the ultimate filth, polluting the whole world, so what do I pollute?"

"Only in a clean blue world can humans and living beings reproduce madly, creating endless excrement. I can thus become the King of Devouring Excrement. Master, do you understand my point?"

Asa's voice surprisingly gives a sense of him throwing his hands and feet, something never seen before.

"In the future."

"The clean world is ruled by you, the filthy world by me. Anyone opposing you will be banished into the filthy world, and anyone supporting you can be liberated from the filthy world."

"This way, we complete the thorough domination of this world, making my existence meaningful! Your rule can be eternal and everlasting!"

"Wahahahaha!"

After listening to Asa's words, Rod deeply covered his face.

How superficial I was... Asa's loyalty can withstand the test.

At least at this moment, my trust in him has strengthened.

Of course, Rod is still not entirely believing his words.

Even if Asa is loyal, his assumptions may not be correct.

Just that segment of imagery cannot explain that the shadow is the source of all disaster and evil.

It can only serve as a reference.

"Asa, do you have other memories?"

"Of course, this is just the first memory. Amon has many memories, and many have been ruined. I've picked out the most important part."

As Asa's voice fell, Rod's vision went black again.

However, this time, a giant cyan stele appeared from the air and stood before him.

Rows of glowing text were engraved on it.

Countless gray shadows gazed at them around.

Asa's voice echoed in the air.

"This is the Soul Stele of Evil Thoughts, a non-substantial object stored in our shared mental world."

"Many years ago, the Ancient Evil Thoughts often gathered here."

"The gatherings were all about overthrowing humanity, extinguishing the Holy Fire, finding and destroying humanity's redemption and hope."

"But as time passed, fewer Ancient Evil Thoughts acted in the same era, and it disappeared into the Void."

Rod asked, "You don't have this memory?"

Asa's voice noticeably became gloomy.

"No, I wasn't qualified to attend; my evil thoughts were too few, those involved were powerful evil thoughts."

Rod responded, "Oh," having unintentionally touched on his scar.

Asa gritted his teeth and said, "From the first time I was refused membership, I set a determined goal: I must overturn a powerful Human Kingdom, devouring those high-headed bastards!"

"Of course."

Asa immediately added a sentence.

"Now I don't need to overthrow humanity; it's enough to devour them."

Rod nodded, "You will devour all evil thoughts entirely. There's no room for other evil thoughts in this world."

"Master!"

Asa's voice became very excited and attentive.

"This Soul Stele of Evil Thoughts is the masterpiece of Supreme Will, with all human hopes and redemption inscribed on it."

Rod asked, "Do you mean powerful human warriors or Human Kingdoms?"

"No, no, Master, let me explain. In ancient times long ago, countless powerful beings fell under the erosion of the Black Fog. Once controlling infinite power, they were polluted, corrupted, and eroded to become indescribable monsters."

"To eliminate the Black Fog, they also left behind some contingencies, known as 'Life of Man,' which are humanity's salvation and hope."

"Some are powerful weapons, some are Soul Ripples of God, and some are incomprehensible special powers."

"This stele lists those 'Life of Man,' which are the most sought-after targets for destruction by the Evil Thoughts."

"The stele ranks them by their impact size. At the top is the most likely to redeem humanity."

"This is the most primitive Divine Language, conveying information through thought. I cannot understand it, can only ask you to watch it..."

Rod's heart suddenly moved!

Suddenly, he understood what the King meant by those peerless geniuses!

The recent surge in genius in Trolian means these 'Life of Man' found their hosts as they reincarnated.

Just like me!

The Dream Realm must also be one of them!

With an excited heart, Rod watched from the top of the stele downwards, and saw the first row reading:

[Throne of Source Heavenly God]

Indeed!

Rod gripped his fists sharply; isn't this the Dream Realm existence Asa initially thought of?

Looking further down, the second row reads.

[Heavenly God's Armor]

Another familiar name.

Long ago, before the Book of Knowledge's memory hadn't recovered, it once said that the Dream Realm is also called "Heavenly God's Armor!"

Rod continued to look down in sequence.

[Trove of Eternal]

[Soul Ripple of Golden War God]

[Soul Ripple of Ancient Sun God]

[Soul Ripple of Moon Goddess]

[Soul Ripple of Thunder God]

[Spirit Demon]

[Dragon Chaser]

[Infinite Holy Grail of Xumeria]

[Holy Grail of Ceremony Source]

[Soul Ripple of Great Hero]

...

[Missing]

...

[Dawn Holy Sword]

[Light Giant]

...

...

[Ancient Creation]

...

The list is long and some lines below are somewhat blurry and unclear.

However.

The Dream Realm?

Among these, Rod couldn't find any trace of the Dream Realm.

Even if the Dream Realm isn't called the Dream Realm, its function should be apparent from the name.

But none of these seem to match with the Dream Realm.

Could it be in those missing places?

Rod felt incredulous; didn't the Book of Knowledge say the Dream Realm is an unspeakable great existence?

Why isn't it listed here?

He temporarily set aside his doubts and began to ponder who in Trolian might match up with what's listed above.

The first person that popped up in his mind was Alan!

He must be the reincarnation of the Golden War God!
