The City's Strongest Son-in-law

Chapter 585 Soy Milk and Fried Dough Sticks

That night, Su Changfeng got up late at night to use the bathroom and heard the low sobbing coming from Yue Qingshan's room. He looked at the time; it was 3 a.m., yet Su Changfeng's heart did not soften.

In Su Changfeng's eyes, love is just this thing, and only by maintaining absolute loyalty can it be considered love. Su Changfeng would not pity Yue Qingshan, otherwise the only one hurt would be Shen Hanxue.

The next day, Su Changfeng went for his morning run as usual and bumped into Chen Xueqi while waiting for the elevator.

Su Changfeng knew that Chen Xueqi must have already changed her morning run schedule and meeting today was certainly intentional, likely related to yesterday's event because he went to Weishui Real Estate and even had Cheng Shi personally come out to greet him, which must have made her quite curious.

Sure enough, once the two boarded the elevator, Chen Xueqi asked Su Changfeng, "What kind of relationship do you have with Cheng Shi?"

"Are you interrogating me? And from what standpoint are you asking, as a neighbor?" Su Changfeng smiled faintly. Not only was Chen Xueqi curious enough to ask him, but when she did, she sported such an arrogant demeanor, which left Su Changfeng speechless.

Chen Xueqi has a particularly high standard for viewing people, which is why she hasn't paid attention to Su Changfeng from the start. If Chen Xueqi thinks he's a loser, no matter what happens, she will always view him as a loser.

However, Su Changfeng is not like those losers; losers would not know big figures of Cheng Shi's level.

Yet even so, Chen Xueqi would not lower her head before Su Changfeng, which can be deemed as a woman's inexplicable pride, especially for a beautiful girl like Chen Xueqi.

"I was just asking." Chen Xueqi said.

"People don't ask questions in that tone, but even if you humbly asked me, I still wouldn't tell you," Su Changfeng said.

Chen Xueqi's face was instantly filled with coldness. Humble herself? How could Chen Xueqi humble herself before someone like him?

"You are really interesting; what qualifications do you have to make me humble before you? Just because you know Cheng Shi, do you think you're on the same level as him?" Chen Xueqi scoffed.

"Honestly, he and I are not on the same level." Su Changfeng smiled. Cheng Shi wouldn't dare to be on the same level as him; he's the young master of the Ye Family from Beijing, while Cheng Shi is just a servant of the Ye Family.

Chen Xueqi didn't understand what Su Changfeng meant; in her eyes, it seemed like Su Changfeng had recognized the difference between him and Cheng Shi.

"At least you know your own limits, but I'm curious why Cheng Shi would act with you, and the girl at your house, I suppose you hired her from somewhere, right? How much are you paying per day?" Chen Xueqi sneered at Su Changfeng with eyes full of contempt, adding, "If you don't go into acting, it would be such a waste, this might be your way out, you know. When you become famous, don't forget my suggestion now."

Just as Chen Xueqi finished speaking, the elevator reached the first floor, and she stepped out first. Her superior attitude made Su Changfeng completely speechless.

Helplessly shaking his head, Su Changfeng murmured, "Confident girls are the prettiest, but conceited ones are really hard to look at."

Su Changfeng previously used to run within the community, but this time, he went out because he had heard from Yue Qingshan about a popular breakfast spot nearby. Yue Qingshan hadn't managed to grab anything for several days, which piqued Su Changfeng's curiosity. Could it be just some breakfast, or is there something different about it?

Just past 6 a.m., when Su Changfeng arrived at the breakfast spot, it was quite crowded, with a long queue forming, making him instinctively think that these people were all hired by the breakfast shop owner. It was just ordinary breakfast; to have so many customers at this time was unbelievable.

Su Changfeng joined the queue and found that these people were mostly white-collar workers. From their conversations, it was clear that they were there specifically to eat this breakfast, thus waking up so early.

To make working folks rise at such an early hour, could this breakfast spot have cast some kind of spell?

After waiting in line for nearly ten minutes and just about to reach his turn, a tattooed man suddenly cut in, shoving aside the girl standing in front of Su Changfeng.

The girl had a high ponytail and looked like a recent college graduate, her files scattering all over the ground.

The tattooed man sneered at the girl, "Can't even hold onto a few things, useless."

After speaking, the tattooed man showed off his muscles.

The girl hurriedly squatted to collect her files, while the tattooed man felt no guilt, just smiling, seemingly pleased with the scene before him.

"What are you looking at? I cut in line, so what? If you don't like it, come and hit me," the tattooed man threatened some of the enraged onlookers.

Cutting in line is already incredibly rude, and the tattooed man didn't look like a well-mannered person. Although the onlookers were somewhat resentful, they didn't dare say anything further after hearing the tattooed man's threatening words; they all lowered their heads.

Su Changfeng squatted down to help the girl pick up her files. "Are you okay, not hurt, are you?"

The girl shook her head, eyes filled with aggrieved tears. After finally reaching her turn, she was forcibly cut in line, meaning she would have to queue again, and the time was getting late. She had only been at the company for a short time and had to go in very early every day to handle many trivial matters.

After picking up the files, Su Changfeng stood up and patted the tattooed man on the shoulder.

"What?" The tattooed man turned back with displeasure, glaring angrily at Su Changfeng.

"Get back in line," Su Changfeng said calmly.

Upon saying this, everyone present looked at Su Changfeng in astonishment.

This tattooed man didn't seem like a decent person, yet Su Changfeng dared to ask him to line up. That was truly brave!

"Haha." The tattooed man chuckled, casually digging in his ear, saying, "Buddy, did I hear it right? You said I should get back in line."

Su Changfeng nodded, "It seems you heard right, so move aside immediately."
