Chapter 1026: Not Bad

In response to Jue's question, Mr. Rui and Sorres inexplicably nodded. They initially had no intention of responding to Jue, but when they realized their actions, their faces turned deathly pale in an instant.

"Who are you?" Mr. Rui, having seen big scenes before, quickly regained his composure. Watching Jue, who was suspended mid-air without emitting any energy fluctuation, his heart gradually sank. Jue's earlier question gave him an extremely bad feeling. The person before him was definitely not Jue.

"Me?" Jue showed a pondering expression, "It's been too long. Since this is what I look like now, I might as well continue using my old name. You can call me Jue." He seemed unwilling to mention his real name, so he continued using the name Jue.

"Are you the guardian of the Treasure?" Mr. Rui couldn't understand why what he encountered was different from what was described in the ancient book. Had he been wrong from the beginning?

"Treasure?" Jue showed an amused expression, tilting his head as he looked at the serious Mr. Rui, "I don't want to disappoint you, but I have to tell you there's no treasure here at all. There's only me."

To Mr. Rui, Jue's words were like a bolt from the blue. He had been plotting for so long, hoping to obtain the legendary item to control the entire Quicksand Star Domain. Yet the person in front of him claimed there was no treasure here at all.

"What's going on?" Mr. Rui's face turned grim. Despite knowing he was no match for Jue, he still unleashed his superpower without hesitation, adopting a confrontational stance. He understood that regardless of the night's outcome, he couldn't possibly leave here alive, so he might as well give it a fight.

"Can't understand this?" Jue looked down at Mr. Rui, who didn't bother to hide his hostility. He didn't want to explain these issues in detail because, in his eyes, Mr. Rui was no more than an ant. No one would explain their plans to an ant because it's too ridiculous.

Ignoring Mr. Rui, Jue turned to Sorres, and a cruel look flashed across his face as he said slowly, "You are Sorres." It was clearly a question, yet he used an extremely affirmative tone. Of course, he recognized Sorres.

Sorres didn't answer. Or rather, he was too scared to answer. He just looked at Jue high above, unable to comprehend why his strike failed to kill this hateful guy.

Jue was not angry at Sorres for not answering. He just looked at Sorres and said, "That stab you gave me really hurt." He lightly pointed to his chest, and a look of pain appeared on his face as if recalling the pain of the knife piercing his body earlier.

"But thankfully, you stabbed me. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to repay Mr. Rui's favor." Jue's expression became indifferent. These people, like ants to him, were too entwined. If he didn't clarify these things, the other him would never agree.

"I know you don't want me to kill them, but they hurt me and should be punished." Jue muttered to himself, not knowing who he was talking to, "It's a pity for such a good Wind Attribute constitution. If I hadn't struggled to find another body, I really wouldn't want to destroy it." A white light appeared from his hand.

The white light, originally representing holiness and brightness, revealed another side in Jue's hand: cold and evil, contrasting strongly with the darkness, giving off an even stronger eerie feeling.

"You should be grateful to die by my hand." Aloft in the sky, Jue arrogantly said. He did have a reason to be proud. Among everyone present, even Mr. Rui couldn't withstand a single attack from him, let alone the others.

Jue gently tossed the white ball of light gathered in his hand towards the mountaintop. A heavy pressure immediately spread from the light ball. Even though Mr. Rui was prepared, when the pressure hit him, he still felt his body sink, and the energy he had gathered dispersed instantly.

Sorres, being an ordinary person, was even more unbearable. He fell to the ground, vomiting blood under the pressure and fainting. The other superpower users and ordinary people all knelt on the ground with a thud, looking up hopelessly at the fist-sized light ball slowly descending from the sky. It was the light representing death, the light representing despair.

When death truly came, they felt no fear. More precisely, they had forgotten fear. Despair took root in their hearts, and under the overwhelming pressure, everything dispersed. Even their thoughts froze under the pressure.

The light ball slowly descended, and the pressure increased with every inch it fell. Jue leisurely floated in the air, watching the light ball slowly fall, guessing when and where on the ground the first dead person would appear. He had been imprisoned for so long that he no longer understood his own strength, so he hoped to use this strike to assess how his power had changed.

Jue now resembled a child observing a new toy, his eyes filled with curiosity. Yet no one noticed the curiosity on Jue's face.

Mr. Rui couldn't gather the energy in his body, but his physical condition was still good, so he could barely stand. However, as the light ball descended further, he gradually could no longer maintain his standing posture. Slightly hunching his body, Mr. Rui's face showed a painful expression. The external pressure was too great and completely beyond his imagination. Forcing himself to stand, the muscles in Mr. Rui's calves burst open.

The pressure continued to increase. On the mountaintop, some of the physically weaker ordinary people burst open under the pressure. Blood and flesh splattered onto the faces and bodies of those around them. Facing death, those covered in blood didn't even have the urge to vomit, enduring the external pressure with painful expressions.

Thud, thud, thud, the muffled sound of explosions kept coming, and one person after another burst open as if a miniature bomb had been placed inside them, sending flesh and bones flying, leaving not a single undamaged part.

The stench of blood quickly spread across the mountaintop, and fresh blood flowed once again, covering the ground. Those crushed to the ground by the pressure lay in the pool of blood, continuously struggling to alleviate some of the weight, but no matter how they moved, the pressure continued to grow.

"Hmm, not bad." Jue was satisfied with the terrifying effect brought by the light ball. The people bursting on the mountaintop resembled blooming flowers, the bloom of life.

"Pity the power hasn't fully recovered yet." Jue looked at his hands with slight disappointment. The suppression had lasted too long, weakening his power considerably, but with some time, returning to its original level was not a problem.

"If so, then you may all die." Jue already had a general understanding of his power, so he raised his right hand, preparing to completely pressure down the light ball, eradicating all the remaining ants on the ground, so he could find a place to cultivate.

Just as Jue was about to act, two extremely powerful energy fluctuations quickly approached this direction. One was very unfamiliar, while the other Jue was extremely familiar with. Upon sensing that energy fluctuation, Jue's previously calm face changed abruptly, showing a hint of ferocity.

"Didn't expect them to find me so quickly." Jue thought it would take them some time to find him. He didn't expect their senses to be so sharp. Ignoring the remaining ants on the mountaintop, he retracted the pressed-down hand, called back the light ball, and suddenly turned into a white light, flying quickly into the distance. During his escape, Jue quickly concealed his Qi to avoid being tracked by the opponent.

As soon as Jue left, a sharp sound of breaking through the air approached swiftly from afar. Suddenly, a group appeared in the sky above the mountaintop. The leading man and woman looked very unpleasant.

The man even cursed outright, then said, "Damn it! Didn't expect him to escape so quickly. It's going to be a headache to find him again." While speaking, he shifted his gaze to the blood-soaked mountaintop.

The survivors were lying on the ground, wailing in pain, while Mr. Rui collapsed directly to the ground, gasping heavily. The group descended slowly, ready to inquire about what had just happened.
