If Chu Ge knew about Black Arrow and Liang Chen, he would definitely be so angry his teeth would itch. But unfortunately, no matter how much he thought about it, he couldn't foresee such a situation happening.

"Chu Shao, I'm here." came a voice from the bathroom, and soon Xu Jingyuan opened the door and came out, her delight evident.

The two women took down everything from Chu Ge's hands and arms, and just taking all that off of him made them feel exhausted. As they looked at Chu Ge, they felt even warmer in their hearts.

At this moment, Chu Ge was still thinking about that embarrassing incident from yesterday. While pondering, Chen Jiatong placed a pair of slippers in front of him, smiling playfully, "By the way, Chu Shao, after you left yesterday, did you spy on us through the security cameras?"

Chu Ge was a bit embarrassed, "Am I that kind of person?"

Chen Jiatong chuckled but said nothing, while Xu Jingyuan giggled, "Jiatong, Chu Shao is definitely not that kind of person. Stop teasing him."

Chu Ge grinned, gently flicking Chen Jiatong's forehead, "See, Jingyuan knows me well."

The two women exchanged glances, their smiles containing even more teasing. After chatting casually for a bit, they finally unloaded everything from Chu Ge. Suddenly, Chen Jiatong asked, "By the way, Chu Shao, who do you think between Jingyuan and me has a better... what looks better?"

The question was not awkward at all, and her tone was no different from before, as if they were just discussing the weather.

Xu Jingyuan also smiled, "Cooking is something we should do."

Chu Ge turned to look at the two women, "Are you sure you can handle it?"

Chen Jiatong, deftly picking the vegetables, said, "Chu, you really underestimate us. We can't do anything too complex, but simple home-cooked dishes are no problem."

Xu Jingyuan, who was washing vegetables in the basin, nodded in agreement, "Exactly, we're not rich heiresses. We've been cooking for ourselves since we were teenagers."

This was the first time Chu Ge talked with them about family matters. Hearing their stories, a feeling of compassion arose in his heart.

No wonder they conducted themselves with such tact and a bit of cautiousness; it turned out to be a skill honed by not having parents around, enabling them to protect themselves while living better lives.

Since they brought up such an unpleasant past, Chu Ge felt he should express something, he smiled apologetically, "Uh, I'm sorry."

Xu Jingyuan shook her head, "It's nothing, isn't our life pretty good now?"

Chen Jiatong laughed nonchalantly, "If my parents had been around all the time, I might have even found them annoying."
