Ayuan looked at Luo Chao for a while, shook his head without speaking, and returned to his room. Luo Chao poured himself a glass of water in the kitchen and also headed back to his room.

After pondering for a bit, he opened his computer again, hacking into his own system, and before long his phone began to ring incessantly.

Old Man Zhou furiously shouted from the other end of the line, "You little bastard, what on earth do you think you're doing?!"

Luo Chao rubbed his ear and smiled into the phone, saying, "Old man, how long are you planning to keep watching? Watching every night, aren't you worried about your health?"

"You're talking nonsense! Even if you can't keep up, I can! I'm using your computer to look up information, what do you know, huh!" Old Man Zhou yelled angrily from the other end.

"Oh? Research, huh? What are you researching? Can you even read pinyin?" Luo Chao wasn't afraid of the old man. With the mountain high and the Emperor far away, even if the old guy wanted to beat him up, he'd have to see if he could grow wings and fly here!

"Hehe, Luo Chao, are you getting full of yourself now? If you hack my computer again, I'll take all your savings for a wife and lose it all in Las Vegas!" Old Man Zhou was hopping mad on the mountain but could do nothing, resorting to his ace in the hole.

Luo Chao laughed into the phone and then said, "Didn't you say my dowry savings were only a few thousand? I make fifty grand here in just one month. Old man, how much of my savings did you actually pocket?"

Old Man Zhou was momentarily speechless at Luo Chao's words, but within two seconds, he continued to roar, "Screw you! Do you still want to save your friend?"

This time it was Luo Chao's turn to calm down, as he spoke into the phone placatingly, "Hey, old man, I'm just joking with you, and besides, the computer you're using is a second-hand one I bought with my own money. You raised me, don't you know what kind of person I am?"

Old Man Zhou coldly chuckled for a bit before saying, "I know what kind of person you are all too well, a little punk who bites the hand that feeds him!"

Luo Chao was momentarily speechless again and then said, "Old man, I was wrong, I really was wrong. I was just messing around today. I won't hack your computer again, okay? I have a few terabytes of movies on another USB drive. Find a cure for me, and I'll trade with you, alright?"

In a tone as if coaxing a child, Old Man Zhou hummed a couple of times and, upon hearing Luo Chao's offer, decided to settle, saying, "I've found it, but I still don't know the situation of that kid, not even sure what's going on now."

"He had an episode yesterday; today, he still experiences excruciating pain all over when anyone touches him." Luo Chao thought of what he saw of Ouyang Zhenhua today and gave a brief description to Old Man Zhou.

After listening to Luo Chao's description, Old Man Zhou mulled it over for a while before saying, "In this case, it's basically in the mid-to-late stage of toxic onset and requires timely medication to slowly replenish the necessary substances in the body. Even if we have the antidote now, he can't take it. Remember that time when I let you get bitten by a cobra as a kid?"

Luo Chao responded, remembering how as a kid, the old man would often throw him into all sorts of dangerous situations for training. Once, he was bitten by a cobra and nearly died, only to be saved when the old man brought him back and detoxified him. From that day, he learned medicine from the old man, mostly about poisoning and detoxification, as the old man had a rather eccentric personality.

He told Luo Chao that a healer can both save lives and take them. As a result, Luo Chao diligently learned all of the old man's lethal skills along with the methods of detoxification.

But Ouyang Zhenhua's poison is unheard of, so he asked the old man to come out of retirement to solve it. However, he still remembers other methods.

While Luo Chao was reminiscing, the old man continued, "First, use the antidote method for a week to see his reaction, then I'll need a medicinal guide that you have to find for me."

"I'm on a mission right now." Luo Chao implied that he couldn't take on any other tasks at the moment, though finding an antidote for Ouyang Zhenhua would require evading Jiang Yuanyuan and others' attention, which was quite challenging since he needed to keep a constant watch on Jiang Yuanyuan.

Old Man Zhou angrily scolded from the other side, "Do you expect an old geezer like me to find the medicinal guide for you? He's your friend, not mine. You figure it out."

Luo Chao was speechless for a moment before asking, "What is the medicinal guide? Tell me, is it that you've already found out where the medicine is and just want me to go fetch it since you can't do it yourself?"

No wonder Luo Chao was raised by Old Man Zhou; he seemed to know the old man's thoughts like the back of his hand. Hearing the old man's tone, he sensed that this wouldn't be an easy task.

He then heard the old man take a sharp breath and curse, "You brat, there's no hiding anything from you. It's not too difficult, but that old geezer still refuses to accept me. If I go asking for medicine, she'll just laugh at me. I won't be that foolish to humiliate myself!"

Luo Chao instantly understood that the old geezer with the medicine must be the old man's enemy, or at least they had some beef with each other. Resigned, he sighed and asked, "Tell me, how can I get the medicine?"

After some hemming and hawing, the old man said, "She likes handsome men, so just bring a few good-looking guys over. Remember, the medicine is called Qilin Fire. I'll send you the address shortly."

The call ended abruptly, and a few seconds later, Luo Chao received a message alert on his phone.

Luo Chao glanced at the address; it was in the city next to Linjiang City, not too far. But what did he mean by "she likes handsome men"? Could this old geezer be into guys? Would he be in danger if he went, considering he was quite the fresh young lad?

But what the hell is Qilin Fire? He studied pharmacology for so long, yet he never heard of such a medicine?

No matter what, knowing that his old man could cure Ouyang Zhenhua made him feel much more at ease.

Just after hanging up, he heard footsteps coming down the stairs, heading straight for his room. Luo Chao quickly turned off his computer, and just as he set it aside, he heard the door click open from outside. The next moment, wearing pajamas, Jiang Yuanyuan burst in.

Luo Chao was startled by Jiang Yuanyuan's aggressive entrance, bewildered as he looked at her.

Why is this girl coming down dressed like this?

He saw Jiang Yuanyuan in a mauve lace pajamas, though wearing a small inner layer, so nothing was exposed, yet her damnably fair skin made the pink-purple pajamas even more sensual, standing so sweetly in front of Luo Chao that he couldn't help but feel his body heat up.
