"Look out!" Noah jumped in front of Shane who was about fire at the serpent. But instead, a water cannon came rushing towards him.

Noah moved his shield up. Covering the shield with mana, he stomped it on the ground. A rock wall erected in front and the water cannon hit right at it. Cracking noises came from the wall, which then shattered into pieces.

The rock pieces flew back hitting Noah's shield. But they were not impacted much. The wall had taken the whole burnt of the attack. But before they could sigh in relief, the serpent rushed at them fierce, with its jaw wide open, fangs ready to pierce into them.

A mana shield appeared in front of Noah's shield. The serpent's fangs struck on the mana shield, instantly breaking it and bit into Noah's shield. It tried to force its jaw close, as a result Noah's feet scraped along the ground, pushed back with a huge force. The ground kept collecting behind him as he slid along, finally forming a mound, giving him a foothold to hold and push the serpent back.

Jane and Mina casted their spells. Two mana circles appeared below the serpent held by Noah in place. Pillars ejected out of the ground, trapping the serpents head within a cross of pillars.

Raven formed three huge wind arrows above his head and using gravity magic, released them towards the serpent's head, increasing the pressure for greater penetration.

The two teams had put their differences aside and decided to work together, in front of the greater crisis right now. Ruby was far behind the fight zone, healing Vanter and Jordan lying on the ground, groaning in pain.

Adriana and Katsu rushed towards the serpent, not missing the opportunity when it was stuck between the pillars. With mana covering their blades they slashed at the body. Sparks flew around as their sword and katana scraped along the hard scales, but the metal like scales protected the serpent, not allowing a single scratch on its body.

"How hard are those scales!? It felt like slashing at a metal wall." Adriana glowered in annoyance.

"Move away!" Raven shouted at them. Adriana and Katsu immediately jumped back. distancing themselves from the serpent.

The three wind arrows hit right on the body. Two mana shots from the cannon also fell on its face, fired by Shane. The pillars crumbled, dust flew out after the impact as the serpent screeched out loud.

All of them waited with berated breath. Silence spread in the air. The dust forming a cloud, swaying about, refusing to die down. Just then a green mist started spreading around in the area, slowly inching closer towards them.

"Fly up in the air! That's poison mist!" Noah screamed and held Shane by the waist and lifted up from the ground.

Raven was already in the air. Adriana, Katsu, Jane and Mina flew up using the flight spell. Moving out of the range of the mist.

All of them were on guard. Cold sweat formed on their foreheads. The silence was gnawing at their minds. The dust had settled but the mist had now covered the whole of the ground, making visibility nil.

Mina waved her hands as mana gathered on her palm to form a wind tornado. She threw it within the mist, which slowly started pulling the mist towards it and started increasing in size. But before the tornado could clear the mist. The huge serpent head with its fangs out jumped out of the mist, rushing towards Noah and Shane.

Noah was holding Shane, making him unable to pull his shield up. He slowly started moving back in the air, but the serpent was quick. It was almost about to engulf Noah and Shane, when Shadow suddenly appeared from the side and slashed his dagger right at its eye.

SCREEECHHHH!!! Blood spurted out of its right eye. It writhed around in the air in pain, hitting Shadow from the intense movement of its body. He was blasted off to the distance, falling right inside the poison mist.

"SHADOW!" Raven screamed his lungs out. Falling in the poison mist and inhaling even a wisp of the poison was dangerous. Even after waiting for time, Shadow was nowhere to be seen.

Raven's eyes got red, his chest was heaving in anger. "It's now or never! All attack and finish this bastard!" he yelled out.

All of them understood that to kill the azure serpent, they need to bombard it with their greatest spells together. Or else they will all fall one after another.

"Vikasa." Adriana activated her spirit form. Ice formed a crown on her head and her body covered with an armor of ice. Ice formed along the blade, adding sharpness to the edges. She held her sword vertical in front of her face. A huge runic circle appeared in front of her and a sharp, pointy arrow of ice about fifteen feet long moved out of the circle.

Jane and Mia fused their mana together and forming more than twenty runic circles in the air. Rotating wind arrows appeared from the circles pointing towards the serpent. On the other hand, Raven also formed a huge wind arrow similar in size to Adriana's.

Shane collected as much mana as he could and formed a huge mana shot in front of the cannon. Katsu moved his Katana back in an arc. Mana gathered at the edge of the blade, vibrating and ready to move out anytime.

"FIRE!!" Raven roared as all of them released their attack. All the arrows, blade arc and the huge mana shot rushed at the serpent that was writhing around in the air.

BOOMMMM!!!

The attack hit squarely on the serpent. It screeched out louder and fell on the pond, splashing water out in a huge wave.

They all waited for the outcome, hoping the serpent to lie in a pool of blood.

But reality was cruel. More than a hundred small runic circles appeared in the air and water arrows appeared out of them, all directed at the ones in the air.

The tornado had cleared the mist in the meantime, revealing Shadow lying on the ground, his body turning blue from the poison, and the serpent stood tall in the pond, water moving along its body upward from the pond. Covering the wounds and healing them slowly.

"Shit. RUN!" Noah cried out. but it was too late. The water arrows rushed at them in a lightning speed. Before they could blink, it hit each and every one of them. throwing them on the ground.

All of them lay on the ground with cuts all over their body, blood seeping out and groaning in pain. Poison started spreading from the cuts, turning their skin blue and numbing their senses fast.

A chill went down Ruby's spine. The situation had turned dire now. Jordan and Vanter were healed but still not able to run around to fight, while all the others now laid on the ground, unable to move a single muscle.

"Where the hell are you Luke!?"
