In the back seat of the vehicle Alex repeatedly attempted to wake up Meera.
"Wake up now. Where is your home located?" he asked clearly.
"Zzzzz..." came the only response as Meera continued sleeping soundly.
"I need to take you home. Please do not sleep anymore."
"Zzzzz..."
"Can you hear me speaking to you?"
"Zzzzz..."
Alex could only stare in exasperation and disbelief.
Damn it!
In the middle of the night he had bravely rescued a woman in distress.
But now he had absolutely no idea where to send her! What should he do in this situation?
Someone help!
No, this was an urgent problem that needed immediate solution. He couldn't just drive around the city all night with an unconscious stranger. The taxi meter was still running, and the driver was growing increasingly suspicious with each passing minute.
"Never mind then," Alex finally decided.
"There is no other viable option. I can only take her back to my home first."
Alex asked the taxi driver to change the destination address. He instructed the driver to proceed to his nearest rental apartment. The driver gave him a suspicious look through the rearview mirror but complied without comment, though his expression suggested he was making his own assumptions about the situation.
He had not yet moved out of his landlady's building. The apartment was located close to this area so he could simply send the unconscious woman there temporarily. It was the safest option under these unusual circumstances.

**The Rental Apartment, Alex's Old Place**
Half an hour later the taxi arrived at the destination of Alex's old home, he could not help but be nostalgic about it. So many memories were attached to this building, both good and difficult.
Shaking his head he got out of the vehicle and then Alex helped the unconscious woman out of the taxi.
He carried her on his back and began climbing the stairs.
He climbed all seven floors while supporting her weight. Each step became progressively more challenging as fatigue set in.
He truly went to great lengths to help her indeed.
Opening the door to his apartment Alex carefully placed this woman onto his bed.
By the time he finished he grew quite tired. His muscles ached from the extended physical exertion.
"I already worked an entire shift today," Alex muttered tiredly.
"Now I am exhausted and sleepy after carrying a fifty-kilogram person up seven flights of stairs."
Alex drank some water to rehydrate.
He did not even bother taking a shower due to his exhaustion.
He simply lay down on the bed next to the unconscious woman and immediately fell asleep. Within moments, he was snoring softly.
---
The next morning the sky was just beginning to brighten with dawn light.
Alex was suddenly awakened by a sharp piercing sound in his ears.
"AHHHHH!!!!" came the scream from the side.
The sound was extraordinarily high-pitched and shocking. It could have shattered glass.
Alex opened his sleepy eyes with great annoyance. No one would be in a good mood after being woken in the morning so early and so violently.
"Why are you screaming like that? Do you think you are some kind of morning rooster?" Alex grumbled while rubbing his eyes.
Meera stared at Alex with her beautiful eyes widening dramatically.
Her anger level was completely maxed out at one hundred percent. How dare this man sleep in the same bed as her!
However after taking a closer and more careful look at Alex's appearance the anger value began decreasing little by little.
Ahh...I feel better after seeing the face.
But...wait a moment.
Why was this security guard so extraordinarily handsome?
For some inexplicable reason after that initial piercing scream Meera found she could not maintain her anger even if she wanted to feel upset. His features were too distracting.
Alex stated righteously and matter-of-factly "Even though you are sleeping in my bed I will not call the police on you."
Meera could only stare in confusion and disbelief.
How could this person be so absolutely shameless?
He was still claiming he would not call the police?
She was a young unmarried woman sleeping in his bed! Should he not be explaining why this situation had occurred?
Shouldn't this be her line to say?
Meera frowned deeply but chose to ignore Alex for the moment.
Instead she took a careful look around the environment of this rental apartment.
There was only one room and one bathroom. The total area was quite small.
It could honestly be described as simple and modest living conditions. The furniture was basic and well-worn.
Glancing again at the security guard uniform that Alex was wearing Meera could not help but ask with obvious disdain "Are you actually a security guard by profession?"
Alex nodded confirmation without any shame or embarrassment.
"Oh I see," Meera sneered coldly. "If I decide to sue you in court you probably will not even be able to afford hiring a competent lawyer."
"I can afford legal representation," Alex shrugged with complete indifference showing on his face.
This was actually quite funny when one considered the full truth.
The top legal firm in the entire state called Khapar Law Associates belonged to him completely.
Was he supposed to fear that he could not afford hiring lawyers? The irony was almost too much.
Meera rolled her eyes dramatically. She did not want to continue arguing with this security guard anymore.
"Forget it. I am not joking around with you anymore than this." Meera spoke with obvious pride and superiority. She glared at Alex with irritation.
This glare only made Meera's face flush even more red with embarrassment.
She had to admit the uncomfortable truth.
The security guard sitting before her was genuinely handsome beyond description.
No matter what flattering words existed in the dictionary it was not enough to properly describe his appearance.
Even working in the entertainment industry where she regularly encountered fresh-faced young actors and handsome male celebrities Meera found herself affected.
