"[✧Swap✧]"
At last resort, Gray couldn't help but switch positions with none other than the key that locked the door.
And yes… it worked.
Barely.
He stumbled forward, panting, his back pressing against the cold wall of the bathroom.
Of course, this glorious academy had to make things worse... even the doors were reinforced with anti-destructive enchantments.
Even if he tried breaking them, it would take a few hundred explosions to leave a dent.
"…Agh…"
He groaned, glancing down with a twitching brow.
There was now an obvious, very inconvenient problem showing through his pants.
Still, no matter how much he cursed, his body had already fallen under the influence of the charm spell Selene had used on him.
"Tsk..."
He clenched his fists.
Then, the sound of soft footsteps echoed.
"........"
"Gray…"
Selene's voice was calm... but her expression didn't match her tone. Her beautiful cyan eyes glimmered with a faint madness, swirling like the deep sea during a storm.
Gray swallowed hard.
"Selene…"
She took a slow step toward him.
Then another.
Her movements were graceful, but her eyes… they were dangerous, and really fucking hungry for his body.
'Think! THINK, GRAY, FUCKING THINK!'
He screamed inside his head as his back hit the sink.
'If you were the other me… what the hell would you do right now?!'
He tried recalling how the "real" Gray might handle something like this.
But every scenario ended the same way.
Every single one... and that was with them having sex.
Sure, Gray wouldn't mind something like that, but for now, he wanted to remain in control. That was the whole reason he'd been avoiding her from the start.
Selene moved closer until the cold edge of the sink pressed into Gray's back.
Her hand shot up, catching his wrists in a grip that was firm but trembling, holding them above the porcelain.
"Why do you keep running?" she whispered softly, looking directly into his eyes.
Her eyes, those clear ocean tones, wavered between fury and sorrow.
'...Fucking hell,' Gray cursed.
But then, he noticed that the seal on his mana had lessened a little, and took that opportunity.
Fwip!
Two threads were stabbed on his left leg, causing blood to jump to Selene's clothes... which she particularly didn't mind.
"Agh..." he let out a groan of satisfaction as he felt the strength of his limbs recovering.
And without even thinking twice...
Swoop!
"Kyaa"
In an instant, Selene found herself slammed against the cold wall. Her cheek pressed hard against the tile as Gray twisted her wrist behind her back, pinning her there.
"God dammit..."
Gray finally had time to breathe as he lowered his head lightly, his lips brushing against the back of Selene's neck accidentally.
"Hahn~"
Selene shivered, a faint, involuntary sound slipping from her throat before she bit it back.
That tiny moment of softness shattered as quickly as it appeared.
Her eyes snapped wide, blazing with the same storm of obsession that always lurked beneath her calm.
"Why?!" she shouted, her voice cracking.
She pushed against his chest, trying to turn toward him.
"Why did you suddenly decide to get a girlfriend, Gray?!"
Her tone trembled between heartbreak and fury.
'...Not this shit again,' Gray sighed.
Selene's breathing quickened, her pupils shrinking to sharp points as her voice broke again.
"Why her, huh? Why Lyra and not me?!"
She twisted under his hold, her hands trembling, nails digging into his arm as if trying to tear the answer from him by force.
"You always look at her, you always talk to her, like she's something special, when I've been right here this whole damn time!"
"You slept with me first! Not that fucking bitch!" she cried out.
Then, she looked up, tears threatening to spill, her voice dropping to a trembling whisper.
"Tell me… what does she have that I don't?"
Hearing her words, Gray's grip loosened.
He exhaled slowly through his nose, eyes narrowing as his expression hardened again. Whatever flicker of hesitation he'd felt vanished behind that cold stare.
"…You're insane," he muttered.
He finally released her wrist and stepped back. In the same motion, his fingers brushed against her palm, slipping the small brass key from her grasp without her noticing.
Selene turned, confused by the sudden emptiness of his hold.
Gray was already at the door.
He slid the key into the lock, twisting it with a clean metallic click.
But before he could step out...
Thump.!
A pair of trembling arms wrapped tightly around his waist.
"...Selene."
Her cheek pressed against his back, her breath quick and uneven.
"Don't go…"
"Let go," he said flatly.
"NEVER!" she screamed, voice breaking halfway between fury and desperation.
Her arms tightened, almost painfully, as if she was terrified that if she loosened her grip even a little, he'd vanish forever.
"...Whatever."
His patience had reached its limits.
He turned around, grabbed her shoulders, and pulled her in.
"Mhm!"
Their lips crashed together.
Selene froze for a second, eyes wide in shock, before they softened into warmth. Her hands moved on instinct, sliding up his chest and locking behind his neck.
Gray's grip tightened on her waist, lifting her slightly off the ground as her feet brushed the tile.
"Hagh, mhmmmm!"
Her breath caught.
The kiss deepened, rough and clumsy at first, then desperate.
The air between them turned heavy, their movements messy and uncoordinated like neither of them cared who took control anymore.
Thud!
Her back hit the wall, and the sound echoed in the small bathroom.
"Haah~!" Selene gasped softly, her fingers gripping his shirt, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them.
One of her hands tangled in his soft hair, pulling him closer.
The other hand slid down to the back of his neck, her nails digging into his skin just to feel something real.
"Mmh... Gray...♡!"
He broke the kiss for just a second, his forehead pressed against hers.
"Hagh... fuu..."
His breathing was just as ragged as hers.
And just before she could react...
"Mooch!"
His mouth found hers again, but this time his kisses moved. They trailed down her jaw, then to her neck.
She threw her head back against the wall with a soft moan.
"Ah! Right there...♡"
His hands moved from her thighs, one sliding up under her shirt. His warm palm pressed against the bare skin of her back, making her shiver.
The other hand cupped her face, his thumb gently stroking her cheek even as his kisses turned her mind to mush.
...KNOCK, KNOCK!
"WHO'S THE MOTHERFUCKER THAT LOCKED THE DOOR?!"
They were fucking interrupted.
"...Fuck."
This time, it was Selene who cursed.
Yet, Gray was quick on his actions as he had already put her down, and silently gestured for her to go to one of the bathroom stalls.
She quickly hurried to the stall and locked herself inside.
Then... he unlocked the door.
FWIP!
But Gray barely had time to breathe before the door swung open, and a fist shot straight for his face.
CRACK!
Gray ducked just in time, slamming his own fist into the attacker's elbow. The joint snapped painfully.
"HAARGHHH! THAT FUCKING HURTS!"
The man yelped, clutching his arm, eyes wide with shock.
Then, without a second thought, he lifted his foot and kicked the attacker square in the side of the head, a sickening thud echoing through the bathroom.
The man's body went limp instantly, crumpling to the floor like a rag doll. His head hit the tiles with a dull thump, and his unconscious form lay sprawled at Gray's feet.
He gave one last look at the limp body before turning toward the bathroom stall.
"Selene, you can come down now."
A soft rustle came from inside the stall, followed by the click of the lock being undone.
The door creaked open, and Selene stepped out.
"I'll visit you later," he said simply, before brushing past her toward the door.
Selene's lips parted slightly, a moment of surprise flashing in her eyes before she caught herself and smirked seductively.
"I'll be waiting," she replied sweetly, humming as she walked in the Gray's opposite direction.
Shaking his head, Gray went back to the library where Lyra was lazily reading a book, and Lira was simply gazing out of the window.
"I'm back," he muttered softly, and instantly, both of them turned their heads.
"Hehe~, you're finally back!~" Lyra was the first to react, directly throwing herself into his arms, practically clinging to him like a cat in heat.
"Hmn..."
Gray quickly caught her before sitting down on his chair as they got back to the same position from a few minutes ago.
"Why did you take so long?" Lira inquired from the side, eyeing him suspiciously.
"Just met a friend and we had a small talk, nothing much." Gray casually dismissed her question before grabbing his book again.
Thankfully, he remembered to use a spell to hide Selene's scent away... if not, Lyra would probably sniff her scent almost immediately.
'...Agh... so annoying.'
He sighed inwardly.
'I really need to pay her a visit to make sure she calms down...'
