Legend of Dragon Son-in-law

Chapter 1807: The Ten Yama Kings

The night began to fall.

The Black Pine League was shrouded in a terrifying atmosphere.

All around Neolle Leocadia were shattered corpses and the pungent smell of blood.

The guards of Neolle Leocadia had long been withdrawn, leaving not even a gatekeeper.

The scene was cold and deserted.

Compared to this, the joyful and festive atmosphere within the inner hall seemed particularly eerie.

"How are the arrangements going?" Hayden Marsh and his three brothers gathered in the inner hall, discussing in whispers.

This place was originally where the Black Pine League's royalty received distinguished guests.

Now, the inner hall was filled with song and dance, fine wine and delicacies, awaiting the arrival of Mr. Ghost from the Mountain of Leaving.

"I've checked the Ten Halls of Yama Formation, there's no problem at all." Atticus Marsh spoke in a low voice, only daring to do so when assured no ill winds were present.

"Our brothers are literally gambling with our lives. If we win, it's glory and prosperity, rebuilding a great era. If we lose, we perish with the Black Pine League. A millennium of foundation, gone in an instant!"

Full of worries, Hayden Marsh was the most cautious among the four brothers, careful in every act.

"Since ancient times, achieving great deeds comes with risks. Even our king of the Black Pine League faces danger, let alone us who strive to establish an empire!"

Konrad Marsh consoled his brothers, then turned to Atticus Marsh, "Mr. Jackson, go check once more to ensure there are absolutely no issues with the Ten Halls of Yama Formation. Also, how is the Ghost Martial Tribe?"

The success of this matter hinged on whether Mr. Ghost from the Mountain of Leaving could smoothly drink that cup of wine.

But for the cautious Mr. Ghost, the taste of this cup of wine was somewhat unusual; to make him drink it all, they had to use hypnotism from the witch goddess.

"The Ghost Martial Tribe is willing to help, but their condition is that those martial artists from Boulevard at Kunlun must remain alive. In other words, we need to keep them as hostages. As long as they pass the witch goddess's appraisal, the rest we can dispose of at will." Atticus Marsh reported the afternoon's communication results to his brothers.

"What on earth does this Ghost Martial Tribe want?" Hercules Marsh shook his head, suddenly tensing up, his face turning grave: "He's here."

As soon as the words fell.

A cold wind blasted through!

Soon after, Mr. Ghost from the Mountain of Leaving strolled into the inner hall, half-naked, wearing a pair of worn slippers.

"Not bad, not bad!" Glancing at the dancing women, he strode over, wrapping one of them in his embrace.

"Ah..."

The dancer was caught off guard, letting out a shriek of surprise.

It was precisely this scream that greatly displeased Mr. Ghost.

"Noisy." With a light flick of his right hand, he directly snatched out the woman's heart, tossing it into his mouth.

"Ugh..."

The four Marsh brothers couldn't help but gag, while the other dancers were so frightened they knelt on the ground, trembling uncontrollably.

"Welcome... welcome, esteemed senior..."

Atticus Marsh was the first to step forward, leading his three brothers in kneeling on the ground.

"Good, good, good!" Mr. Ghost laughed heartily, sweeping his sleeve with force!

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The dancers who were there a moment ago to entertain were turned into corpses in an instant.

"I do not like women; I only like killing." Mr. Ghost clasped his hands behind his back, walking straight to the main hall, taking the seat originally belonging to Declan Marsh, eyeing the four below.

"Where is your king of the Black Pine League?" he inquired.

As he spoke, he didn't forget to lick the blood off his hands.

It seemed he was savoring the feel intensely.

"Replying to Mr. Ghost, Declan Marsh likely fled out of fear of your reputation," Atticus Marsh showed a flattering smile, even while kneeling: "But rest assured, I've arranged for the Imperial Guard commander to take the elite forces to pursue him. I believe before dawn, we will have captured him."

Finished, he introduced his brothers: "Sir, these are my three brothers, all loyal to you. With the four of us here, you are in command of the Black Pine League."

"At your command, sir!"

The three other brothers said in unison.

"Refreshing! Today I have slain 3,700 people! Not one more, not one less." Mr. Ghost slapped the table, laughing wildly: "So refreshing! But your Black Pine League is truly spacious and sparsely populated. I killed all the way out to three hundred miles and barely saw a soul! Tomorrow, go and grab me a hundred grandmasters for entertainment!"

At his slap, the brothers' hearts instantly leapt into their throats.

Luckily, the wine didn't spill.

Had it spilled, all their efforts would have been for naught.

"Sir, please savor the culinary skills of our Black Pine League chefs, while my brothers and I brief you on the situation," Atticus Marsh stood up, bowing: "The Saint Master of the Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance is now in exile at Boulevard, and the new Saint Master is preparing for a showdown with him!"

As indeed expected.

Upon uttering these words, Mr. Ghost's interest was instantly piqued.

"The Saint Master was chased off? Such a thing?" he said, raising his wine cup.

Back then, he rampaged a thousand miles, struck down by the Saint Master's sword with his body severely injured.

Finally, he fled to the Black Pine League, where he was captured.

Upon his release, Mr. Ghost thought first of revenge!

"Yes." Atticus Marsh's forehead was beaded with sweat, glaring at the wine cup: "The Saint Master suffered a heavy blow four years ago and vanished. As for the details..."

While he was still speaking, Mr. Ghost had already sipped the wine.

But his brows immediately furrowed.

Once again, their hearts leapt into their throats.

But suddenly.

A bell sounded from outside the door.

Mr. Ghost downed the wine in one gulp.

But as soon as the wine settled, an invisible aura burst forth from his body!

"Who dares use illusion!"

Bam!

The table before Mr. Ghost exploded into fragments!

The four Marsh brothers fled the hall in disarray.

By chance, they encountered the witch goddess, blood seeping from his lips.

"The reputation of Mr. Ghost from the Mountain of Leaving is well-deserved. Anyone else would have fallen to his hands by now." The witch goddess pulled a handkerchief from his pocket to wipe his mouth.

"How dare anyone attempt to bring harm upon Mr. Ghost from the Mountain of Leaving!" Mr. Ghost stood up, instantly appearing at the great hall's door.

Just as he was about to step through the door, ready to unleash carnage!

Buzz!

An invisible force suddenly exploded forth!

The empty entrance to the hall seemed to be a net that held him fast!

Mr. Ghost roared, tilting his head back to howl at the sky!

His muscles were already taut!

Blood-red runes on his body burst with beams of light!

"Who! Who's doing this to me?"

He clutched his head, enduring endless pain!

Yet stepping back a pace, the pain vanished!

"You betrayed me." Mr. Ghost pointed at Atticus Marsh, his eyes filled with murderous intent!

"Mr. Ghost, my apologies. As long as you cooperate, we will not make things difficult for you." Atticus Marsh smiled faintly.

"Courting death! How dare these worthless rats deceive me!"

Mr. Ghost from the Mountain of Leaving burst out in fury!

Bam!

But the door seemed like a wall, holding him fast.

Simultaneously!

On the ten pillars within the great hall, the red paint began to slowly peel away.

Revealing the pitch-black surface beneath, along with the painting of the angrily glaring Yama!

"Ten Halls of Yama Formation! Who is plotting against me!"

Mr. Ghost was stunned in place, frantically rushing to attack the pillars!

But before he could act, the eyes on Yama of each pillar shot forth a powerful spiritual energy!

Directly hitting him!

Thump!

Mr. Ghost collapsed within the hall, blood trickling from his lips.

"I swear I will wipe the Black Pine League from existence in the future!"

He clenched his fists tightly, roaring in a muffled fury!
