Legend of Dragon Son-in-law

Chapter 1804: Emergence

"Warden, you look flustered, what's happened?"

Many of the Grandmasters responsible for guarding the Black Prison rushed over, asking with concern.

Melvin Marsh was held in high regard among them, known for being deep-thinking and calm.

Now, as he hurried to press the elevator button, the Grandmasters felt uneasy.

"Nothing, I'm going down to check on the Mountain of Leaving Mr. Ghost's situation." Melvin Marsh didn't think much of it, just curious why Mr. Ghost had suddenly become so weak.

His mentor and senior brothers all died at the hands of Mr. Ghost.

Melvin Marsh wished the ghost would die sooner.

But at the time, Neolle Leocadia feared retaliation from Mountain of Leaving, so decided to imprison him.

Though the Black Prison was deep, the terror Mr. Ghost brought made them feel it was not safe.

Fortunately, an elder passing by laid down the massive Nine-building Rivers and Mountains Array!

The elder did not leave a name, persistently refusing even when the royal family begged to record his name for posterity, claiming he was just a janitor.

Disliked these worldly things.

His actions were just because he couldn't stand Mr. Ghost's deeds.

Since then, the Nine-building slowly suppressed Mr. Ghost, gradually weakening this demon's power.

As time passed, the people of the Black Pine League grew increasingly at ease, with little fear left.

Young people born within the century even considered the elders cowardly for allowing Mr. Ghost to run rampant.

Now that Mr. Ghost was about to die, Melvin Marsh felt a bit excited.

Could it be, the great vendetta avenged?

He had guarded the Black Prison for over a hundred years, hoping this murderously insane demon could be punished.

Yet the royal order was clear, Melvin Marsh never entertained the thought of personal revenge.

The nation first, then family.

In the face of duty, Melvin Marsh was crystal clear.

"Warden, do you need us to go down with you?"

A few Grandmasters asked.

Mr. Ghost's notorious name made them fear descending to the nineteenth level.

Only Melvin Marsh often went down to check the Nine Array, recording Mr. Ghost's condition.

"No need, I can go down alone." Melvin Marsh waved his hand and entered the elevator.

Before the elevator doors closed, he suddenly reached out and stopped them.

"Bane, come in."

Hearing this, a young man entered the elevator.

"Master," said the Young Master named Bane respectfully.

"Bane, among all my disciples, you're the one I value most. You're not smart or particularly diligent, but you have a heart of chivalrous benevolence." Melvin Marsh smiled amiably.

"Master, what's gotten into you." Bane scratched his head, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"What we talk about today, don't tell anyone." Melvin Marsh didn't press the elevator button, instead having a long conversation with his disciple inside.

"If, and I mean if..." He appeared serious, a hint of worry in his tone: "If I don't return, and Mr. Ghost escapes the Black Prison, remember to find the people of Boulevard and report this to the Holy Lord."

"Master, isn't the Holy Lord with Demarco Mount? Besides, doing this would be betraying the Black Pine League, wouldn't it?" Bane felt bewildered.

He never expected his master would instruct him like this.

"The Holy Lord, there's only one. Cold Nelson, he's not worthy." What Melvin Marsh said sounded blasphemous to the Black Pine League.

Yet Bane did not refute.

He understood his master well, an obstinate person.

"For a hundred years, I've kept investigating, visiting, and gathered some information." Melvin Marsh clasped his hands behind him, as if lost in memory. "The person who seriously injured Mr. Ghost might very well be that Holy Lord of Boulevard."

"Julius Reed?"

This time, Bane was truly stunned.

"Correct. If Mr. Ghost returns to the mortal world, you must quietly leave here and report to Boulevard. Understand!"

After speaking, Melvin Marsh opened the elevator door and pushed Bane out.

Then.

Pressed the nineteenth floor.

"Master!" Bane's heart sank, feeling something was amiss.

His master had never spoken so bleakly before.

The elevator plummeted rapidly.

Stopped at the nineteenth floor.

Melvin Marsh tidied his disheveled clothes and stepped out of the elevator.

But to his surprise.

Atticus Marsh was nowhere to be found.

Inside the nineteenth level Black Prison, thousands of prisoners were held.

The elevator had ten sets!

Could it be, Atticus Marsh had gone up ahead?

Yet all of a sudden!

A wave of danger swept in swiftly!

"Do you remember me?"

Mr. Ghost appeared before him unexpectedly!

Disheveled hair, blood-red eyes, emanating a terrifying aura!

"You... broke free from the restraints?" Melvin Marsh swiftly backed away, drawing his sword!

"Haha! I once said I'd devour you." Mr. Ghost twisted his neck, took a deep breath. "It was you and your master and senior brother who restricted my freedom then!"

"Demon!" Melvin Marsh squinted, dashing swiftly toward the other side!

Where the alarm button was!

As long as he pressed it, the entire Black Prison would know what's happening inside.

But clearly, Mr. Ghost would not let him succeed!

A gloomy wind blew by, Melvin Marsh swiftly dodged, his Longsword swiping forward to block!

Bam!

Immediately afterward, he was sent sprawling, crashing against the Black Prison wall!

A mouthful of blood welled up in his throat.

"Are you ready to face death?" Mr. Ghost laughed eerily, once again appearing before him!

Giving Melvin Marsh no time to react, Mr. Ghost landed a palm strike!

His strength and speed reached near their limits!

Melvin Marsh had no means to dodge, he could only raise his Longsword in defense!

Crunch!

The Longsword shattered!

Melvin Marsh took a palm to his right shoulder, collapsing half his body.

"Ugh..."

This famed Great Grandmaster lay on the ground, with no power to retaliate.

Not that he wasn't strong, but Mr. Ghost was simply too powerful.

Since entering the prison, every move Melvin Marsh made had been painstaking.

Mr. Ghost used his mind to nearly bind him!

"Ant, I've said I'd kill you, and I will." Mr. Ghost stood over Melvin Marsh, speaking coldly.

"Atticus Marsh... he let you go..." Melvin Marsh was nearly falling apart, pain blanking his thoughts.

But his scant consciousness still managed an analysis.

"Those who understand the times are wise, Melvin Marsh, your death is meaningless." Mr. Ghost pointed at him, sneering darkly: "You and your master and senior brother are all outdated to the extreme!"

Swish!

But at that moment!

Melvin Marsh swung a sword!

Stabbing the broken sword into Mr. Ghost's chest!

"Good, very good!"

Mr. Ghost laughed once, pulling out the broken sword with one hand!

Blood continuously flowed from the wound.

"Even at death's door, you still bite back." After speaking, he lifted his right foot and stomped down hard!

Only the breath of one person remained inside the prison.

"I, Mr. Ghost from the Mountain of Leaving, have returned to this world!"

Mr. Ghost ignored the bleeding chest wound, standing inside the prison.

Shouting loudly!

The inscriptions on his body shone with a red glow!

As if burning!
