REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO

Chapter 242: FURY

Everyone was stunned by Logan's words, especially Ali and the hunters.

None of them had ever imagined that the man they had schemed so long to defeat was actually Raphael, who had been living among them as a hunter all this time.

Even Mirena was baffled. "Wasn't Lucas the head of the sect? What is this brat talking about?" She thought to herself.

"But… how is that possible? He looks so young," Ali asked, voicing the very question lingering in many minds.

Logan fell silent for a moment. His gaze lowered slightly, as if weighing something heavy. After a brief hesitation, he finally spoke. "Master, there are some truths I'm not sure everyone is ready to hear."

At that, one of the elders of the Smith family frowned, his expression twisting in displeasure. "What? Logan, you don't actually think we can't handle it, do you?"

The speaker was Henry, one of Rudeous's uncles, who hadn't been around when Logan was young and had long since left home.

Logan shook his head lightly, a faint sigh escaping. "You're misunderstanding me. It's not a matter of whether you can handle it or whether anyone here is worthy of the truth. It's about the consequences, the ripple it will cause. And trust me… once you hear it, your worries will only grow heavier."

A heavy silence spread through the room at Logan's words. Even the clatter of cutlery stopped; everyone unconsciously put down their food.

Now, many were uncertain, and some of them even questioned themselves. Did they genuinely want to hear this truth?

After all, most of them had never cared about dungeons or monsters. Their concerns had always been nobility, prestige, and social standing. And after Alice and Logan were back, that was enough for them.

Finally, Rudeous broke the silence. His calm, steady voice carried across the hall.

"I know Logan is still very young. But again and again, he has proven himself worthy. He saved Alice not once, but twice. If he says we should consider carefully before listening, then perhaps we really should. Remember, he didn't say he wouldn't tell us... only that he isn't sure we're ready to hear it. So it is our choice. If you feel ready, then listen. If not, then simply let it pass. For now, we should be content. Alice and Logan have returned safely. That alone is more than enough."

"I… I don't want to hear it."

"Neither do I."

"Me too."

Several voiced their reluctance, not wanting to carry any more burdens.

Ali and the other hunters, however, remained silent. They wanted to know desperately. Yet even they could feel it wasn't the right time.

It must be something severe, Ali thought grimly.

Alice then gently asked, "Why don't we first finish breakfast? Afterwards, those who wish to hear the truth can sit with Logan in a separate room and talk comfortably."

Noah glanced at Ali, silently seeking his opinion. Ali gave a slight nod. "That sounds like the best plan, Mrs. Smith."

With that, everyone turned back to their plates. The atmosphere wasn't entirely wordless, but conversation was kept to a bare minimum.

Soon, breakfast came to an end.

Ali, Logan, Alice, Rudeous, Mirena, and Darius gathered in a separate room with the rest of their six members of the mission team.

No one spoke right away. The air was thick with unease, each person unsure of what to ask first.

At last, Emily broke the silence. She looked directly at Logan. "Logan, everyone here wants to know what's really going on. If you're willing, please start from the beginning. Because at this point… none of us truly understand anything anymore."

After a long silence, Logan finally spoke.

"What I'm about to say may very well shake the very core of your beliefs. But I must say it. Because we need to be prepared for what's coming."

The weight in his tone was enough to make everyone straighten in their seats. They could all feel it...

the gravity of his words.

Mirena's sharp eyes remained fixed on Logan, unblinking.

"We are not alone," Logan said firmly. "Earth is not the only planet with life. There are other worlds as well."

For a heartbeat, the room turned deathly silent. And then, shock rippled through them like waves.

"What nonsense are you speaking, Logan?" one of the court mages burst out. "We are not alone? How can you possibly know that? I thought we were asking about Raphael, the Third Eye Sect, and your fight with them!"

Logan turned his gaze toward the mage, his expression calm but unyielding. "What I'm telling you is the foundation of everything. Raphael, the Third Eye Sect, the dungeons, the monsters, their strange behavior lately, it is all connected."

He began to explain, slowly, carefully, that there were countless other races on other planets. Those monsters were not mere mission objectives but a race of their own. They had invaded Earth in search of something called a cultivation technique.

And that Raphael… was not of this world either. He had come from another planet, driven by the same goal.

Everyone sat in stunned silence, listening. The more Logan revealed, the heavier their minds felt, as if weighed down by a truth too vast to grasp.

Even Logan himself struggled to keep his explanation in order, the enormity of it threatening to overwhelm even him.

The room erupted when Logan revealed his final point, that the magic everyone used was nothing more than an imitation.

People exchanged bewildered looks, disbelief etched across their faces. It was as if the ground beneath their feet had crumbled.

Even Ali, who had trusted Logan the most, stared at the boy with a flicker of doubt.

When Logan finally finished speaking, the air was thick with questions and suspicion. But before anyone else could voice their doubts, Mirena suddenly leaned forward, her sharp gaze cutting straight into him.

"I believe this so-called cultivation technique everyone is after… You have it, don't you? Otherwise, why would the Third Eye Sect chase you so relentlessly?"

From the moment Logan uttered the words cultivation technique, her mind was fixated on it.

She remembered all too vividly how her own life had once hung by a thread because of that very same technique. That was why, the instant Logan finished speaking, she asked without hesitation.

She didn't care whether there were other races out there. She didn't care whether magic was real or just an imitation. None of that mattered to her.

What she desperately wanted to know was one thing... whether Logan truly possessed the secret body-strengthening method Lucas had demanded from her the last time.

Her words struck like a thunderclap.

The room fell into stunned silence once more. One by one, all eyes turned to Logan, waiting for his reply, their breaths held tight.

And then came his answer, calm yet heavy.

"Yes. I have it. That's why Raphael has been after me all this time."

Mirena's fists tightened, her voice trembling with fury. "I knew it… That's how you defeated Darius back then. You had something so precious, yet you kept it to yourself only! Don't you feel ashamed, Logan? Because of you, your mother was kidnapped twice!"

Her outburst echoed through the room. She could never forget how miserably Darius's life had turned after losing to Logan during that duel arranged by Kael. To her, Logan's secret was the cruel reason behind it all.

Ali and the others had been leaning forward, eager to hear more, to ask more. But Mirena's sharp words threw them all into hesitation. Should they press on with their questions… or simply sit back and watch this family drama unfold?

Before they could decide, the atmosphere itself shifted.

The air grew monstrously heavy as a suffocating pressure rolled out from Logan's body. Everyone felt their very souls tremble, as if they were standing at death's door. One wrong move, and their lives would be snuffed out.

Mirena froze. She recognized this sensation instantly. Rudeous did too. It was the same oppressive bloodlust they had once felt years ago, the moment they told Logan that Alice had been kidnapped.

Ali and Noah exchanged pale glances. They had felt this before as well, during the battle with the wyvern, when that human-faced monster appeared.

Logan's bloodlust had reached its peak.

Slowly, he turned his gaze toward Mirena. Then, without haste, he rose to his feet.

Step by step, he walked toward her. Mirena's instincts screamed at her to retreat, but her body refused to obey. The pressure crushed her completely; she couldn't move an inch.

And then Logan's voice cut through the silence. Calm… yet terrifying enough to freeze the blood in everyone's veins.

"Lady Mirena… I don't know where you got the nerve to put the blame on others after everything you have done."

Until now, Logan had endured everything in silence, holding himself back even when the fear of losing his mother gnawed at his heart. But Mirena's shameless accusation shattered the dam within him, unleashing the raging tsunami of fury he had been restraining all along.
