Fox Has No Malicious Intent

Chapter 326 Bena

"Zzzzz—"

The I-beam pierced through the rock layer abruptly, surprising the two people in front of the ruins. They looked at the protruding metal rod on the rock layer with faces full of uncertainty.

"Ding—"

Once the I-beam fully penetrated the rock layer, it suddenly shot straight into the cave, smashing heavily onto the ground, producing a loud clanging sound that echoed throughout the cave.

A dust-covered fox head poked out from the hole in the rock layer.

The two men were dumbfounded, staring at the white fox.

"What are you looking at? Never seen an albino red fox born in a major agricultural country digging a hole?"

"Look at you, acting like it's the first time you've seen the world."

Ansheng saw the two people in ceramic factory uniforms staring blankly at him and immediately shouted an insult at them, then surveyed the surroundings.

This should be a cave, or perhaps some other type of grotto, Ansheng wasn't sure, but wherever his eyes reached, there was light, and the ground was even paved with a layer of cement surface.

The cave was reinforced with concrete all around, and arch-shaped concrete columns supported the cave roof. What struck Ansheng as odd was that one corner of the cave roof had an obvious patch-like concrete layer.

There... was probably the big hole that caved in years ago, trapping Wang Ya and others in the ruins.

After occupying the ruins, these thieves plugged the collapsed cave and re-drilled a passageway capable of allowing a small truck to pass through.

"The fox... the fox spoke! No way!"

"He must be a Beast Warrior from Xia Country, hurry, quickly notify Supervisor Bena."

After their initial daze, the two men immediately became flustered and ran towards the ruins, not forgetting to press the emergency button in front of the ruins' gate, which activated the hydraulic device installed later, sealing off the entire gate.

Although Ansheng saw what they were doing, he didn't care about the couple who mumbled a few words quietly and ran off.

The entire passage had already collapsed, and the area around the ceramic factory was under the coverage of reconnaissance satellites, making it impossible for these foreigners who were stealing the Spirit Particle Ruins to escape. Ansheng felt that the current situation was like catching turtles in a jar.

"It's safe inside, come on in!"

After Ansheng finished inspecting the interior of the ruins and confirmed that there were no visible traps, he jumped down from the cave, landing on the thirty-meter difference in height to the concrete ground.

The Golden Leopard peeked out from the cave, and the dark green venomous snake coiled on it also surveyed the cave. Once these two Spirit Beasts confirmed there was no danger, they too jumped out.

Next, Wang Qiqi and the Snake Woman emerged. Upon entering the grotto, the Snake Woman considerately carried Wang Ya, who was following behind, into the ruins as well.

The existence of this Spirit Particle Ruins, even the woodcutters knew it couldn't have been discovered by Master Fox.

He never even came to the Tiechuan District, so how could he have discovered this ruin? The only explanation was that Master Fox learned about it from someone else, but they didn't know from whom Master Fox had heard about it.

Now that Master Fox summoned Wang Ya, everyone knew deep down who discovered the ruins.

However, no one exposed this matter.

As the discoverer of the ruins and a top student who took leave from studies in Northwestern Archaeology, Wang Ya's knowledge could definitely play a significant role here.

The granularity is aligned.

"There's been quite a big change here..." Wang Ya, who had entered the ruins, turned her gaze towards the spot where the ground had sunk, which had been filled with concrete. Her previous BMW SUV was still in place.

However, the A-pillar and B-pillar were deformed, and the position changed from overturned to upright.

Wang Ya reminisced for a moment, then raised her hand to point towards the building resembling a circular tower, and said:

"Originally, there was a circle of stone pillars here, surrounding that low tower-like structure, forming a ring. That ring should have been some kind of defensive mechanism. Inside, it spewed blue-purple mist, and some extremely terrifying... pea shooters emerged from the underground soil."

Wang Ya thought for a moment and used a very familiar term to describe the defensive mechanisms of the ruins.

Although the ring and stone pillars have now been disassembled by tomb raiders, and even the ground that used to sprout terrifying plants has been overlaid with concrete, Wang Ya managed to identify the original layout of the site.

"That bunker-like circular tower is not as simple as just a few layers on the surface. I just saw two people running into the underground building."

Standing in front of the I-beam, Master Fox explained to the others.

Although the two ran quickly, when the gate was completely closed, Ansheng still saw them running to a wall with cover, holding something like a handrail and running further into the ground.

This showed that the main body of this building must have been constructed underground and gradually surfaced as the earth's crust shifted.

"Go!"

Although lacking a giant hammer, it didn't stop Master Fox from gripping the I-beam like a battering ram and swinging it heavily at the circular tower-shaped bunker door.

"Clang—"

The force, enough to lift the King of a hundred tons, was applied to the I-beam. The I-beam collided with the black door with a violent crash, but something extremely strange happened when the two made contact.

The seemingly weak black door didn't even budge when struck by the I-beam. Instead, the tip of the I-beam was instantly flattened.

The recoil transmitted from the I-beam caused the steel bars binding it to snap one by one, unable to withstand the force of the collision, numbing the meat pads on Master Fox's palm.

"Damn?"

Surprised that the bunker door didn't open, Ansheng's eyes showed a hint of astonishment, as if in disbelief.

Although the I-beam battering ram might be somewhat shoddy, it shouldn't be unable to leave any mark on the door, right?

Could the steel used to forge the door be this hard?

"It's made of Spiritual Particle Metal..."

Wang Qiqi saw Master Fox frozen and explained the origin of the metal door: "From the patterns on this ruins door, it likely belongs to the late period of the previous Spiritual Power era, a time span of about eight to ten thousand years ago, widely known as the peak of the Spiritual Power revival tribal era."

Wang Qiqi stroked the patterns on the door, feeling the texture and bumps as she shared her archaeological knowledge.

"Indeed, the fortress gate is a special alloy cast from Spiritual Metal. Originally, we spent two months trying to open this door but eventually could do nothing but use the ventilation ducts..."

As Wang Qiqi spoke of the door, a young female voice suddenly emerged from the surveillance camera hanging on the building, echoing Wang Qiqi's explanation. Hearing her friend's unfamiliar language, Wang Ya's cheeks showed a touch of shock: "Be... Bena?"

"Yes, my friend Xiaoya..." The audio module of the surveillance camera continued the voice: "I don't recommend you proceed. When we entered, we marveled at the solidness and safety of these ruins, so we planted a lot of C4 in all possible entry passages."

"If you continue to intrude, it will trigger explosions. As your good friend, I must warn you, the whole fortress is packed with high explosives."

As Bena spoke, the camera stuck to the door looked at Wang Ya, her tone tinged with some sentimentality and an unknown sigh.

It seemed she didn't want Wang Ya to be here.
