My SSS-Rank Clone Talent: I Level Up Endlessly!

Chapter 318: No Free Lunch!?

"What is this?" Eryke raised an eyebrow as he looked at the scabbard before him. At first glance, it seemed simple, but anyone with even the slightest perception would know it was anything but.

He, whose Sword Will was sharper than that of everyone in the hall combined, felt its truth more deeply than anyone else.

This scabbard wasn't just an object, it felt like an extension of his Sword Will. A sword is never complete without its sheath, and this… this felt like the missing part.

There was no denying it: his Sword Will practically screamed for him to claim it.

And Eryke wasn't one to resist.

Eryke snapped out of his trance-like state, raising an eyebrow as he looked at the sect leader. "I wonder… Why is the Sect Leader showing me this?"

"This," the sect leader said slowly, "is one of the most treasured relics of the Mount Hua Sect, passed down through generations of sect leaders." He stood deliberately, step by step approaching Eryke, the scabbard held closely in his hands.

A collective gulp echoed through the hall, eyes fixed on the scabbard as it moved closer.

"And now," the sect leader said, a faint smile on his lips, "I wish to entrust it to you."

"..." Eryke fell silent, the implication of the Sect Leader's words sinking in. A gentle smile spread across his face as he pushed the scabbard away.

"This humble one isn't worthy of being the sect leader."

"I see…" The Sect Leader lowered his head, eyes cast to the ground, his face etched with disappointment. But he didn't immediately withdraw the scabbard. "Still, I wish to give it to you."

Eryke studied the scabbard in silence, then tilted his head to meet the Sect Leader's gaze. "Are you certain?" he asked softly.

"Yes," the Sect Leader replied with a small, resolute smile. "I am certain."

"Sigh." Eryke looked around at the people who were staring at him, some with envy, some with fear, and some with anger, and he rubbed his forehead. He already felt an unbearable headache mounting, "What do you want? Just tell me, and I will do my best to fulfill it."

There is no free lunch in the world; he knew it deeply.

The sect leader was not only giving it to him, but also without the added condition of becoming the leader of the Mount Hua Sect.

He wouldn't give it simply because of the terrifying strength of Eryke, would he?

That would be simply dumb. There was something that Eryke had that they wanted, and for that, they were exchanging the scabbard.

Just that Eryke was confused. What could he possibly have that would compel someone to give him the most valuable treasure so easily?

Well, he didn't have to wait long.

"How were you able to use Healing Martial Artist Arts when you have a Sword Will?" the Sect Leader asked.

Eryke paused briefly. "Oh, you just wanted that?" He raised his brows in disbelief.

"Yes," the Sect Leader nodded.

"Oh, you could have said so sooner. You didn't even have to give me such a valuable treasure for it." Eryke swiftly pocketed the scabbard from the Sect Leader's hands and smiled. "I would have given it to you even without it."

"Thank you." The Sect Leader smiled and bowed his head, but beneath his composed expression, his brows twitched constantly. 'How could someone be so shameless?'

Eryke then simply began explaining the technique directly to everyone.

It wasn't a complex Martial Art, but its creation was. The theory had originally been a half-complete Martial Art found in the library of the Shadow Sect, and Eryke had simply finished it.

The core problem was that Healing Martial Arts couldn't be used with a Sword Will because of its sharpness. Martial Arts were performed through the Will that the Martial Artist had manifested.

This made every Healing Martial Art, no matter how sophisticated, impossible to perform.

There was a simple solution: Eryke integrated the Healing Martial Arts with the Sword Will itself.

It was similar to the concept of a spell.

Of course, this was no easy task, otherwise, someone would have done it already. To create such a technique, one needed a complete understanding of both their Sword Will and the Healing Martial Arts.

The half-complete technique that Eryke had obtained did this perfectly, but the integration with the Sword Will was still incomplete.

Eryke himself wouldn't have been able to finish it if he hadn't understood the concepts of spells. The original creator of the Martial Art didn't know the concept of spells, so they had only managed to complete it halfway, it's too unfortunate that he couldn't complete it but Eryke completed his legacy at the very least.

As Eryke explained, everyone fell into a trance, captivated by the Healing Martial Arts and the method of integrating it with the Sword Will.

Although difficult to create, it was surprisingly easy to replicate and use for themselves.

However, this "easy" was only from the perspective of Eryke. For others, well, they were utterly confused. The little devil at his side couldn't keep up and collapsed to the ground in bewilderment.

"…So in the end, you carve these Ancient symbols into the Sword Will, and you'll be able to use it. Any questions?" Eryke asked, raising his brows.

The Sect Leader froze, then slowly sank to his knees, tears welling in his eyes. "Brilliant… brilliant."

"Umm?" Eryke felt a little awkward. Seeing a man almost forty years old on his knees didn't make him feel superior in the slightest.

The Sect Leader's body trembled as if he were experiencing a deep, unshakable ecstasy. "Who… who made this Martial Art?"

"It was a half-complete Martial Art that I happened to acquire, and I perfected it," Eryke replied, telling only half the truth.

"Thank you, for creating such a wonderful Martial Art." The Sect Leader raised his head to the ceiling, and tears streamed down his face form the pure joy.
