Alchemy Sovereign Against the Heaven

Chapter 1141: Master

Soon, the two of them reached the mountain summit.

As far as the eye could see, there were only a few simple wooden huts in the clearing, with nothing else in sight.

At this moment, the others ahead looked curiously at Mo Wangchen.

Half a year ago, the Master had already mentioned that he would come.

They were puzzled, wondering what kind of identity this person had, to be so noteworthy in the eyes of the Master.

How many people like this could possibly exist in the world?

"Strange, our master usually only drinks tea and sleeps, why is he so attentive to you? Brother, what is your name?"

Among the few, a slightly chubby young man walked up to Mo Wangchen, circled around him twice, and asked with great curiosity.

"You must be Shuai Zhen, right?"

Mo Wangchen smiled but did not answer his question. He had heard Lin Feng mention the other senior disciples, among which the fourth senior brother, Shuai Zhen, was a fat man.

"Hey, it seems my fame, Lord Shuai, is not much less than that of my junior brother, many have heard of my reputation." Shuai Zhen said proudly.

"Could he be a new disciple taken in by the Master?"

Not far away, a young man sat cross-legged with a sword standing upright in front of him, sheathed, half-buried in the snowy ground.

"You are the third senior brother, Fang Han." Mo Wangchen spoke again.

Lin Feng had said that although he entered the Dao through the sword, on Eternal Mountain, besides him, the third senior brother's swordsmanship was also transcendent, equal to his own.

"They should be Yun Qing and Chu Feiyan?" Mo Wangchen pointed to the two women standing beside Lin Feng and smiled as he spoke.

"Strange, you seem to know quite a bit about our Eternal Mountain, could you really be a new disciple of the Master?"

Not far, in front of a wooden hut, a young man was wrapping a large tree in dry grass, as if afraid that the tree would catch cold.

As he spoke, the young man glanced upward while attending to the tree, fixing his gaze on Mo Wangchen for the first time.

"Huh?"

Suddenly, he made a sound of surprise because he realized that he could not see Mo Wangchen's appearance. A layer of black aura obscured his face, an aura derived from the Great Dao.

"This..."

Not only did the young man feel this way, Mo Wangchen also discovered that when he looked at the young man, a similar Dao aura obscured his face, preventing him from seeing his true appearance.

Only these two experienced this; to Lin Feng, Shuai Zhen, and others, everything seemed normal.

"Why do I feel like I've met you before?"

Although he couldn't see Mo Wangchen's face, the young man felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity and immediately walked towards Mo Wangchen.

Chu Yu, the second senior brother of Eternal Mountain!

Mo Wangchen's heart trembled; it wasn't hard to guess his identity. This person was the reincarnation of Ji Changkong in the next era… in a sense, he was Mo Wangchen himself.

Yet something seemed to prevent them from meeting, thus neither could see the other's face clearly at this moment.

"I feel the same way..."

Mo Wangchen smiled, his face calm, aware of everything, but the people here knew nothing.

In the end, Lin Feng led Mo Wangchen away, heading to the back of the mountain, and stopping in front of an ancient hall.

"Three Pure Temple..."

The hall had three large words inscribed on it, vigorous and powerful, containing the true meaning of the Great Dao flowing within.

"Buzz..."

Suddenly, an inexplicable power descended upon Mo Wangchen, causing his face to change dramatically.

This power's magnitude surpassed comprehension, beyond human ability to withstand.

The next moment, everything went blurry before his eyes; when his vision cleared, he found himself inside the ancient hall.

The layout within the hall was equally simple; at the front, an elderly man with a head full of white hair sat before a charcoal fire.

Holding a scroll of book in one hand while sipping tea with the other, the man's eyes never left the book, ignoring Mo Wangchen completely.

"Sit."

After draining the cup of tea, the old man placed the teacup down and softly uttered a single word.

Mo Wangchen's heart shook; who else could this man be but the Master?

He looked like an ordinary elder in the mortal world, wearing a gray-white Daoist robe, with nothing remarkable about him.

Yet, just sitting in front of him, Mo Wangchen found it difficult to breathe.

An invisible Great Dao seemed to envelop him, an existence above all; the Master just sat there, but he felt as if he was the embodiment of the Heavenly Dao itself.

Mo Wangchen took a deep breath, bowing in respect; in a sense, the Master was also his teacher.

He sat down, appearing very restrained; even the Divine King he met in the Void Realm couldn't make him feel this way.

This was an irresistible force, as if anyone who came here would behave like Mo Wangchen.

"Why? Do I appear so fierce that you are this tense?" the Master suddenly chuckled, putting down the book and pouring Mo Wangchen a cup of tea.

"Uh..."

Even though he had known from Lin Feng that the Master was approachable, it was his first meeting with the Master, so he naturally dared not act too casually.

He was silent for a while before speaking, "First Senior Brother has embarked on a journey across reincarnations to find you, Master..."

"Speak of these things with me only; be sure not to mention it to those apprentices outside the sect," the Master instructed.

Mo Wangchen nodded, shocked in his heart; the Master seemed to have known everything beforehand, having predicted the development and outcome of the events many years into the future.

"I am but an incarnation myself and cannot sense the whereabouts of my true body. You might not find the answers you're seeking here," the Master explained.

Mo Wangchen remained silent; the Master had countless incarnations across different times, but there was only one true body, whose era or location, not even the Ksitigarbha knew.

The Master was the Dharma of this world; with the rise and fall of eras intertwined, it was because his true body had fallen into reincarnation.

Only by locating the true body could he stop the endless cycles of destruction and rebirth.

Otherwise, regardless of how powerful the creatures in this world became, the outcome would ultimately be the destruction of eras.

If the Master's true body appeared and rejoined with his Dharma, it could stop the recurring scenes of annihilation.

Only if the world ceased its destruction and development continued indefinitely, along with all beings exploring the Heavenly Dao, would there possibly come a day when they break free of constraints, surpass the so-called Peak Ancient God Realm, and achieve true immortality.

Perhaps this is what Lin Feng meant by the Endless Dao...
