The Magnificent Son-in-law

Chapter 511: What's Our Son's Name?

No time to be shocked, Zhao Guo'an followed, and upon hearing the commotion, Lu Yao and others hurriedly ran over to the little girl. A large group of people gathered around, leaving only Grandpa Jiu still soundly asleep.

The little girl, who had just woken up, was quite flustered by the sudden crowd around her.

Lin Jiaxuan looked at the little girl resting her head on her lap, exclaimed joyfully, "Shihan, you're finally awake. I..."

Before she could finish, the little girl blinked her big eyes and asked confusingly, "Who are you?"

"This... you, you don't remember me?"

Lin Jiaxuan stared, unable to process the little girl's reaction.

Is this some kind of amnesia?

The little girl frowned and said, "Why are you just moving your mouth and not making a sound?"

Just moving the mouth without sound?

Lin Zhiyan pondered for a while, a realization flashed in her eyes. She removed the earplugs from the little girl's ears, pointed at herself, and asked, "Look closely, do you remember me now?"

"You?" The little girl looked for a long time, shook her head, and said, "I don't know you. Where am I? I want to go home!"

For a moment, the whole room was in chaos; it seemed like true amnesia.

Xiao Feng pushed through the crowd, pointed to himself, his face looking solemn, and asked, "Look at me, do you know me?"

"Brother Xiao Feng!" The little girl's eyes lit up instantly and she sat up: "Why am I here? Who are all these people?"

"Whew..."

Xiao Feng took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down.

Given the current situation, the little girl's amnesia was not entirely complete; she could at least recognize him.

"Shihan, think carefully, do you really not recognize any of the people around you?" Xiao Feng asked patiently.

"I really don't, Brother Xiao Feng, you know I never lie."

Saying this, the little girl frowned: "But what did you just call me? Shihan?"

Xiao Feng was stunned; did she even forget her own name?

"Then what should I call you?" Xiao Feng asked tentatively.

"Wife, or darling, you always call me that." The little girl smiled sweetly.

Everyone exchanged glances; this wasn't amnesia, it seemed like she gained a lot of imagined memories instead.

"What's going on?" Xiao Feng coldly looked at Sun Shijie.

Sun Shijie's face looked grim: "It could be memory confusion, or delusion. I'm not very skilled in this area."

"Not very skilled?" Xiao Feng grabbed Sun Shijie's collar and lifted him fiercely, speaking with a chilling tone: "Do you really think your lousy poison can threaten me?

I'm telling you now, even if I'm poisoned, I can make you wish you were dead, you believe it or not?"

Lin Zhiyan stepped forward to persuade, "Calm down, it's not the time for infighting; Shihan is like this..."

"Get lost!" Xiao Feng suddenly turned his gaze onto Lin Zhiyan and shouted angrily.

Lin Zhiyan was immediately frightened; at the moment Xiao Feng looked at her, she even felt her blood freeze for a moment!

At this time, the little girl stepped forward to stop Xiao Feng: "He's an old man, Brother Xiao Feng, you can't be so rude."

After speaking, she surprised everyone again by saying: "Brother Xiao Feng, where's our son? Why isn't he here?"

Xiao Feng suddenly looked at Zhao Guo'an.

Zhao Guo'an was dumbfounded; she asked where your son is, why are you looking at me?

Releasing Sun Shijie's collar, Xiao Feng unscrewed a bottle of water and poured it over his head, rubbing his face forcefully. When the anger subsided, he asked, "What's our son's name?"

"Hmm... weren't we supposed to decide together?" The little girl smiled and said: "But I've thought of a few, you can use them as references..."

After that, she started counting the names she had thought of on her fingers: "Xiao Yan, Xiao Yao, Xiao Xuan, Xiao An... oh, and one more, Xiao Zhuo."

Xiao Feng's expression suddenly turned bizarre: "Xiao Yan..."

His gaze shifted to Lin Zhiyan.

"Xiao Yao..."

His gaze shifted to Lu Yao.

"Xiao Xuan..."

His gaze shifted to Lin Jiaxuan.

"Xiao An..."

His gaze shifted to Zhao Guo'an.

Finally, his gaze fixed on Su Yuzhuo: "Xiao Zhuo..."

Everyone gradually realized that these names are the homophones of syllables in their names.

One or two could be explained as coincidence.

But dragging everyone in altogether clearly couldn't be explained as mere coincidence.

"Maybe subconsciously, she still remembers us," Lin Zhiyan speculated.

Everyone nodded in agreement, but having their names' syllables used for the next generation's names still felt inexplicably odd.

However, Xiao Feng didn't see it that way.

He slowly closed his eyes, took a deep breath, suddenly shouted loudly: "Mu Shihan!"

"I'm here, I'm here!" The little girl obediently ran to his side.

But soon, the little girl noticed that Brother Xiao Feng was looking at her strangely.

After persisting for two minutes, the little girl finally couldn't help lowering her head: "I'm sorry, actually I just wanted to play a joke with everyone, I truly didn't mean any harm."

Everyone suddenly came to their senses and dispersed.

"Don't go, don't go!" The little girl hurriedly said: "Brother Xiao Feng... Old Zhao... Zhiyan... Sister Lu Yao... Xuanzuan, please listen to me explain... I really, I..."

Seeing that no one cared about her, the little girl finally realized that her joke went too far, didn't stop at the right time, causing the current uncontrollable consequences.

With no other choice, the little girl turned to Su Yuzhuo for help.

Among everyone present, if anyone had the best temper, it had to be Su Yuzhuo. No one has ever seen her get angry, and couldn't even recall her ever saying anything harsh.

In the end, Su Yuzhuo just shook her head, chuckled, patted the little girl's shoulder for comfort, and then spread her hands showing she could not help.

"How about this, I'll treat everyone to a meal afterward, order anything you want, or I'll give everyone a gift worth no less than ten thousand, something super expensive.

Can you all forgive me once?

Just this once!"

The little girl pleaded pitifully.

Xiao Feng closed his eyes, ignoring the little girl's words.

Indeed, the little girl had been well-behaved all along, but just because she did well does not erase her mistakes, easily letting this slide means she'll probably not learn.

The others were the same, leaning against the walls on either side, occasionally glancing at the little girl's reaction, without prior agreement, but extremely synchronized on forming a unified front, aiming to make the little girl experience being isolated!

This continued for about ten minutes, the little girl hugged her knees, squatted down, buried her head in her knees, her body occasionally shivering twice, as if silently sobbing.

"I'm wrong, please don't ignore me, okay?" The little girl said with a choking tone like she was crying.

Everyone opened their eyes, looking at one another, big eyes staring at little eyes for a long time, obviously at a loss.
