Demonic Pornstar System

Chapter 472: Dreamland

Back when he terraformed this dungeon, the idea struck Kaiden: 'If I select the Verdant Expanse biome, then my lands will be lush, full of natural resources needed to survive if we get stuck inside. But… I don't want to work the land.'

Hunting and turning wild boars into delicious meals sounded amazing until one actually had to put in the work. Eating berries and other greeneries could sustain the human body, but Kaiden loved his protein, and more importantly, did not want his girls to have to live on such a diet. It would make staying here miserable.

But if someone put in the work for them… If someone - a group of people - not only had the knowledge of how to hunt game and turn it into food, and also knew how to gather resources from the forest properly, then they could turn this land into a true treasure.

The soil was fertile, they could turn it into farm lands that could easily sustain their numbers and leave more than enough for Kaiden and co.

He would not have to do anything besides protecting them from invaders, which was something he would've already done, considering his home was at the end of the expanse.

As such, he was basically given his professional hunters, gatherers, and cooks for free. It was a deal he couldn't refuse.

Truth be told, Kaiden could've kept them outside the dungeon. In the first place, they were in trouble because Calypso's demons terrorized their lands. But now, those same demons had been dissolved and given to him in the form of points to spend.

As the natives, who were given the land from the government, selected Kaiden as their chief, he was technically the owner of the reservation lands. He could've just told them to continue living as they were before, but he did not want to do that.

Frankly, if not for the Verdant Expanse biome inside his dungeon, Kaiden would've denied their request to become their chief. If they were to be left outside the dungeon, they would've become liabilities, or rather, mere sacrifices. Kaiden had many enemies, and if anyone came for his dungeon with hostile intentions, they would've simply massacred the natives who called him their boss.

Especially if they failed to invade his dungeon… He could already imagine how the frustrated enemies would leave behind a farewell gift before the dungeon entrance, a gift made of Native American children's lifeless bodies.

Bastet stretched lazily with her tail flicking behind her as she glanced toward the cheering crowd that was visibly eager to depart. "I'll go with them."

Aria smiled, already moving to join her. "Count me in. I can't wait to explore this beautiful land."

The two exchanged a nod before following the excited natives as they fanned out into the greenery.

Nyx and Luna lingered for a moment longer beside Kaiden. The two girls' gazes met in silent understanding.

Then, smiling in sync, they too turned and vanished between the trees.

Calypso, who had been standing off to the side and playfully petting a purring Nightclaw as if the creature of horror was a wonderful kitten, suddenly perked up.

"I must see what became of my domain!" she declared.

Without waiting for a reply, she darted off after the others.

And just like that, silence.

The trio made their way along a path that wound through the inner edge of the forest. As they moved deeper, the greenery gave way to black marble and twisting obsidian spires.

Soon, the trees opened to reveal a massive fortress built from the dark stone, acutely titled by the Dungeon Master Interface as the 'Original Abyssal Lord's Palace'.

They stepped inside. The air was cool, dry, and echoing. "Mother, Alice, before I show you around, I want to check something out," Kaiden said and received no protests.

The mother, daughter, and son trio walked through the grand hall until they reached the throne, where the boss battle would take place.

Technically, now Kaiden should be the 'boss monster' that the invaders must defeat to clear the dungeon.

After all, based on the text, he might get some boss-like power-ups.

[The Abyssal Lord's Throne]

This is the heart of your domain. The symbol of rule and defiance. It marks the end of the dungeon, the final chamber, where the Dungeon Master awaits.

Should intruders reach this throne and slay its master, the domain is conquered and its power lost.

When the Dungeon Master takes the throne, they may channel the dungeon's essence, gaining command, insight, and perhaps even strength drawn directly from the abyss.

Kaiden did not know how exactly he would be empowered - if at all.

But it was time to find out how this function worked exactly, among other things.

He looked at Vespera, who got the memo and yanked Alice off his shoulders with a cruel pull of the girl's shadows. Alice was wholly unprepared for the horrible assault; thus, she could not even mount a semblance of resistance.

She only puffed and pouted at her mother, who ignored the girl wholeheartedly, instead electing to observe as her son lowered himself into the throne and leaned back.

His vision flickered as blue lines formed together before his mind, creating a large translucent interface hovering in the air.

It showed the sight Kaiden couldn't check out because as soon as he sat on the throne last time, Nyx showed him Alexandra's letter.

But now, it was time to read through it all.

Kaiden's eyes glimmered as he read through the details. "So that's how it is, huh…"

'Alright then. I just need to grind DMP.'

And DMP could be obtained by killing enemies, invading hostile dungeons, or by crushing invaders who dared set foot in his world.

Based on the wording used, it seemed that the order of profitability from these three options was as follows:

The least profitable was the killing of enemies. The DMP gained scaled by the slain enemy's strength, and those sustained by another dungeon's core gave more DMP than those who were not sustained by one. Meaning, humans on Earth gave less than monsters inside dungeons, even if they were exactly the same in strength.

In the middle was an invading hostile dungeon. Approximately, 20% of the banished dungeon's DMP he would get.

Last and most profitable seemed to be winning invasions of his own domain because then, the people would give a hundred times more DMP upon their death than outside on Earth.

Though Kaiden could not be sure if this was the definitive order of profitability, in fact, getting 20% of a whole dungeon's DMP investments would definitely be more profitable than defeating a weak invading party.

'Well, I'll know for sure once I do all three,' Kaiden decided.

He looked up toward the vaulted ceiling. 'Let's make this place grow… and see what Rank 3 and then 4 looks like.'

But just then, a new notification appeared before his eyes.

'This is…'
