The Path of the Martial Arts BOSS

Chapter 5: Secret Realm Jade

Beyond the Zhenwu Seven Peaks, there is a rear mountain, which is the forbidden land of the Zhenwu Sect. The sect's secret realm, as well as the legendary Zhenwu Jade, are both located within this rear mountain.

Qing Yu's figure traced a long rainbow through the sky, gracefully landing in front of a Taiji Gate atop the rear mountain.

"Sect Leader."

Sensing Qing Yu's arrival, the Taiji Gate spun open, and from it emerged an elderly Daoist with white hair, saluting Qing Yu, saying.

"Uncle Ancestor Tong Ming, regards." Qing Yu also returned the salute to the elderly Daoist.

This person was precisely Tong Ming, one of the Zhenwu Two Elders. Except for major affairs, he and Tong Hua always resided in retreat within the secret realm of the rear mountain, both to slow down the loss of their life span and to guard the secret realm.

"Sect Leader, are you here for the Zhenwu Jade in the secret realm?" Tong Ming asked.

"Indeed."

The Zhenwu Jade, the treasured inheritance of the Zhenwu Sect, contains the lifelong memories of Emperor Zhenwu. Every sect leader of the Zhenwu Sect may enter the secret realm to comprehend the memories left by Emperor Zhenwu on the Zhenwu Jade, paving the way towards Divine Communication.

However, because the Zhenwu Jade requires a hundred years to accumulate sufficient energy for use just once, and the last use was over a decade ago, Qing Yu can only enter it with his own Primordial Spirit to seek out Emperor Zhenwu's memories.

He had initially thought to harness the Zhenwu Jade's power when faced with a bottleneck he couldn't overcome, but until today, Qing Yu has yet to encounter any bottleneck that rendered him helpless.

Thus, the task of comprehending the Zhenwu Jade had remained idle.

Fortuitously, due to matters concerning the Supreme Taoist Sect, the Zhenwu Jade finally came into play.

"Sect Leader, please." Tong Ming led the way.

The two of them proceeded, one following the other, into the Taiji Gate, advancing dozens of steps, along the mountain cavern walls, until they arrived before a mirror-like surface, akin to water.

The mirror seemed like water, but one could not see the scene on the other side; only the reflections of Qing Yu and Tong Ming were imprinted upon it.

Situated at the upper middle of the mirror is a constantly rotating Taiji symbol, containing the Yin Yang Dao Essence, maintaining the stability of this space entrance.

"Sect Leader, this is the entrance to our Zhenwu Sect's secret realm. This mirror may appear ordinary, but it contains the Yin Yang Shifting Array. Without the corresponding spell to forcibly enter, even the strongest would be exiled into a spatial rift. Though their life might not be in peril, entering the secret realm would be out of the question." Tong Ming explained.

Spatial rifts pose no significant threat to the strongest, but being shifted there can still be quite troublesome.

If unwary, one might end up lost for decades.

'This certainly aligns with the Yin and Yang style of the Zhenwu Sect.' Qing Yu mused internally upon hearing this.

Yin and Yang rotation, power leaning. This method doesn't forcibly stop intruders from entering the secret realm, but rather gives them a one-way ticket for a holiday in the spatial rift.

As he pondered, Tong Ming continuously changed seals, casting black and white symbols, the mirror surface lighting up in black and white, and yin yang energy rotated within, gradually forming a vortex.

"Sect Leader, the passage is open, please." Tong Ming, maintaining the infusion of True Qi, said.

Qing Yu looked towards the vortex formed by the black and white energy, a red light flickering in his eyes, 'It's indeed the passage to the secret realm.'

It's wise to be cautious of others; although Qing Yu trusts Tong Ming's loyalty to the Zhenwu Sect, matters concerning his safety cannot be taken lightly.

After all, in the past, Tong Ming was very close with Xuan Chen, perhaps at some point his mind may have taken an irrational turn, leading him to an unwise decision.

Fortunately, the truth proved that Tong Ming did not commit any irrational actions, and Qing Yu didn't have to worry about how to manage with one less of the Zhenwu Two Elders.

Stepping into the vortex, Qing Yu sensed the change in space, the environment changing in an instant, already within the secret realm of the Zhenwu Sect.

Before his eyes stood two statues of Emperor Zhenwu towering hundreds of feet high, standing guard between two mountains, a marble path extending from underfoot, all the way to the end of the valley between the mountains.

"These Yin Yang Two Mountains on either side are where my junior brother Tong Hua and I routinely cultivate in seclusion. At the end of this central True Martial Dao, is where the Zhenwu Jade resides."

Following Tong Ming, Qing Yu headed inward along the valley, the mist growing denser the farther they went. On the left, black mist; on the right, white mist; the two colored mists occasionally repelled each other, clashing violently, sometimes coexisting, cycling in Yin Yang.

This place is the foundation of the Zhenwu Sect's orthodoxy, the secret realm brimming with Yin Yang Dao Essence and Primordial Energy, embodying the mysteries of Zhenwu Martial Arts.

A martial artist with exceptional insight, upon arriving here, might be inspired by the peculiar climate and develop a Yin Yang Skill.

Of course, this Yin Yang phenomenon, for Qing Yu, offers little assistance. His martial arts realm far surpasses the natural evolution of this place.

In silence, though their pace was slow, the two, both beyond Divine Communication level powerhouses, almost as though shrinking the earth to a point, soon reached the end of the valley, beholding the secret treasure of the Zhenwu Sect—the Zhenwu Jade.

The jade was embedded in the mountain wall at the end of the valley, or perhaps the jade itself was formed by the transformations endured by the mountain wall.

Over eight zhang high, more than five zhang wide, smooth as a mirror, seemingly capable of reflecting the surrounding mountains and the Yin Yang climate, but up close yet it appeared hazy, devoid of any reflection.

"Uncle Ancestor, please excuse yourself." Qing Yu said.

Tong Ming nodded slightly, vanishing into the black and white mist behind.

"Zhenwu Jade, Emperor Zhenwu's memories, can you resolve my doubts?"

In gentle self-talk, a Primordial Spirit flew out from Qing Yu's head, plunging into the jade.

Upon entering the jade, countless images like a lantern show displayed before his eyes, all scenes of Emperor Zhenwu practicing martial arts, along with an indescribable connection tying Qing Yu and the Emperor Zhenwu seen in the images, allowing him to feel Emperor Zhenwu's insights and changes of thought.

Yet Qing Yu entered the jade not for Emperor Zhenwu's martial arts insights, but for the images deep in his memory related to the Dao Ancestor.

Intense mental focus, powerful divine thought swept through, scouring surrounding drifting memories, searching for the profound records from the ancient era, ten millennia ago.

With the penetration of divine thought, Emperor Zhenwu's visage and demeanor gradually leaned toward youth. From old age to youth, from founding the Zhenwu Sect to past experiences seeking Dao, Qing Yu reversed the life of Emperor Zhenwu, traversing the barriers of time, arriving at the era ten millennia ago, when the Dao Ancestor expounded the Dao.

"Today, this poor Daoist gathers the essence of Qi Cultivators, achieving great success from past to present, segmenting various realms..."

Divine thought brushed away a layer of mist, a voice neither old nor young, neither male nor female resonated. Upon hearing this voice, Qing Yu did not feel anything peculiar, instead there was a sense of hearing the sound of the Dao.

Dao, this is the Dao, this is the voice of the Dao Ancestor, and also the sound of the Heavenly Dao.

This was Emperor Zhenwu's most profound impression engraved in his heart, and also his strongest emotions. Due to the incorporeal bond, Qing Yu could most deeply feel Emperor Zhenwu's reverence and admiration for the Dao Ancestor.
