As Aaaninja and Lucian returned to the position of their team gathering, the guides reached them. The moment the guides arrived, a faint air of respect and discipline seemed to settle over the area. After a brief introduction, everyone got moving, figures streaking through the air with almost supernatural sharpness, booming sounds echoing as they all shattered the sound barrier with their speed.
Within moments, they arrived at the buildings, the two generations separated, Younger Generation and Older Generation, each moving towards their own building. Some older generation teams left messages for the Younger Generation ones through telepathy, a silent exchange of wisdom and subtle reminders.
After all, not everyone was Anthony's team that the Older Generation didn't bother leaving advice for the Younger Generation.
Anthony could be seen sleeping lazily within his room, the quiet atmosphere giving a sense of tranquility. He turned ever so calmly as though looking for the perfect spot to maximize his sleep, shifting with the ease of someone who had mastered the art of comfort.
Suddenly, his body froze as his eyes snapped open. Throughout his stay here, he had been restricting his Sense Dome since he could literally see through everything within the planet, and there was no fun in that. The world became too small, too transparent, too predictable when one had access to such overwhelming sensory perception.
But now, even without his Sense Dome, he could sense it, two familiar presences, Aaaninja and Lucian. 'They are finally here,' he thought to himself, a soft smile appearing on his face. That slight upturn of his lips carried not only recognition but also relief, anticipation, and a touch of warmth that rarely surfaced except for a select few individuals.
With that thought, he rose to his feet as he got off the bed. Without wasting a second, he stepped out of his room, where Kingsley, as always, sat with his eyes closed, which snapped open the moment Anthony arrived within the living room.
'Is this guy training every single moment or what? His Sleep Training ability is too broken, at least let it have some cool down or something,' Anthony thought with a sigh. The thought came with a hint of exasperated tiredness, the kind one developed only after spending enough time with an anomaly like Kingsley.
"Good morning," Kingsley spoke, as it was already the next day. It remained just a day to the meeting. "I thought you were going to lock yourself up throughout the day and wait for the meeting to begin tomorrow," Kingsley added calmly, his tone carrying no judgment, simply observation.
"I was, but it seems some friends I've been waiting for have finally arrived after taking their time," Anthony spoke.
Kingsley paused as he heard Anthony say that his friends had finally arrived. He had heard Anthony speak about them when Anthony had invited him to join the Younger generation team for this meeting. Kingsley's expression shifted slightly, a flicker of curiosity breaking through his usual calm.
"It seems I get to meet them early. I was already thinking that maybe we would only meet them at the beginning of the meeting or something like that," Kingsley spoke, clearly looking forward to these so-called friends. For someone like Kingsley, who rarely showed obvious anticipation, his tone alone carried rarity.
A door creaked, and from it, Vega stepped out calmly, elegant and beautiful as always. "So they are here, huh?" she spoke, as she had heard Anthony and Kingsley's discussion.
"Let's get going then," Kingsley spoke as he rose from his seat.
Anthony shook his head as he spoke, "They are still at the front porch. Although the porch is huge and can fit in thousands of people, I don't want to be crowded by millions of people, so we will just wait until they choose an apartment. Besides, knowing them, they will choose to tour the building, so let us wait at the bar at the lobby."
Although Anthony would have loved to simply stay within his room and just welcome them here, each apartment was designed to block perception and any sensory ability. But knowing Aaaninja and Lucian, Anthony guessed that the perception blockage would not work on them. Even so, he still decided to step outside.
"Okay then," Kingsley replied, and together, he, Anthony, and Vega stepped out as they headed towards the bar they were at yesterday. The hallway was filled with faint echoes of distant conversations and soft luminescent lights embedded into the walls, guiding them with a gentle glow.
"Did you finish the alcohol the bartender gave you yesterday?" Vega suddenly asked, her question directed towards Kingsley.
"I already did," Kingsley replied without a change in expression. He was somewhat of an alcoholic, but of course not the bad kind. He simply loved drinking, just as Aura loved reading, just as Lucian loved copying abilities, just as Aaaninja loved playing around with Time.
Vega shook her head at Kingsley's answer, expecting nothing less. Anthony simply smiled at her reaction. With how overpowered Kingsley's physique was, it was hard for him to get drunk as his body automatically filtered through the alcohol. Although, with his ridiculous body control, he sometimes made his body not filter it, making him drunk sometimes, purely just for the feeling of it. But after a while, he always filtered the alcohol, returning to his sober and normal state.
"I hope you both aren't calling me an alcoholic or something like that in your minds," Kingsley stated with a flat expression.
"Your words, not ours," Anthony replied, amused. Kingsley sighed, choosing not to speak on the matter anymore.
"Which races are your friends from?" he asked. He didn't exactly have any details on these friends they would soon meet, as he had never truly asked and had never truly cared. From the beginning, they were Anthony's friends, not his. But seeing Anthony get somewhat excited, something that did not happen often, made him have a subtle flicker of anticipation.
"You will know when you see them. They aren't hard to miss," Anthony replied. Kingsley's mind shifted to all the arrogant, so-called top races he had met before now, their pride and stupid arrogance that clung to them like a second skin. 'I wonder if they are that way too?' Kingsley thought to himself.
To him, if Anthony's friends ended up being arrogant and prideful like he had witnessed countless times within the past 24 hours, he would simply stay away from them. They were friends with Anthony, but that didn't mean he was supposed to be friends with them.
'But knowing Anthony, he probably wouldn't become friends with such people. After all, he too hates prideful and arrogant people... especially those that are stupid on top of that,' he mused to himself, then he shook his head, choosing to forget the matter and not judge these friends from the top races based on what he had witnessed with this building.
