Building The Strongest Family

Chapter 387: The ONCURA Gambit [ 1 ]

The conference room buzzed with a low, almost electric hum, a subtle energy that seemed to vibrate through the sleek black obsidian table that stretched across the large space.

Beneath the gentle glow of ambient lighting, the table shone like a dark mirror, reflecting the heavy decisions that lay ahead.

Above the table, holographic screens flickered with streams of live data, maps, charts, and economic indices that shifted in real-time. The seats around the table were more than just places to sit; each person present represented a piece of a vast empire.

At the forefront was Arthur, calm and composed, his gaze sharp as a blade. He didn't need to raise his voice to command attention; his mere presence was enough to draw everyone in.

Surrounding the obsidian table were Aunt Margaret, Uncle Philip, Aunt Emily, Dr. Velora Tan, the head of Osborn Hospital Group, Garrick Thorne, the President of Osborn Pharmaceutical and Biotech Group, his third uncle Richard, Luke Dawn, President of Osborn E-Commerce, and two others, Billy and Kaia.

Each individual held sway over trillions in assets, hundreds of thousands of employees, and critical sectors in the global economy.

Arthur gave a nod to Evolon, who appeared beside him in a shimmering light. The AI's holographic outline pulsed gently as it spoke with silky confidence.

"Initiating global status update," it stated.

Holographic displays unfolded across the chamber. The main screen showcased a rotating map of Panterra and nearby continents, with ominous red zones flashing where the GENEBANE virus continued to spread unabated.

Evolon began its analysis: "Current infections: 4.1 billion. Confirmed deaths: 970 million. Established containment zones: 5,840. Estimated economic loss: 560 trillion unicreds."

An uneasy silence blanketed the room, broken only by the soft whir of the projections.

Evolon continued, shifting to graphs that highlighted major pharmaceutical companies:

"The top ten firms have released antivirals that are only partially effective, with a mere 42% success rate. Revenue since their release stands at 87 trillion unicreds. Public trust is waning, though dependency remains high. Projected death toll in three months: an additional 90 million."

After delivering this grim news, Evolon paused. "End of preliminary report."

Arthur leaned back slightly, his eyes shining with resolve. "Good," he said quietly, with a touch of eagerness in his tone. "Now, let's move forward."

With a purposeful motion, he stood and placed his hands behind his back, radiating authority. "As of this morning," he announced, "Osborn Pharmaceutical and Biotech Group has developed a complete cure."

A heavy silence fell across the room as heads turned in unison. Gasps spread like wildfire among the attendees.

Garrick Thorne's eyes widened in shock. "A complete cure? Has it been tested?"

Arthur nodded confidently. "Tested and verified. No side effects. Immediate viral elimination."

He pointed to Evolon, which projected an image into the air: a sleek silver vial glistening with promise, adorned with a striking crimson lion — ONCURA.

"ONCURA," Arthur declared, his voice strong and assured. "Our solution to GENEBANE."

The room fell silent as the projection slowly spun, the light that reflected off the vial illuminating the astonished faces around the table.

Dr. Velora Tan leaned in with interest. "Are you saying it ensures complete restoration? No risk of relapse or mutation?"

"Absolutely zero recurrence," Arthur assured her with confidence. "Evolon's simulations guarantee stability against all known environmental factors."

Philip exhaled deeply, his voice thoughtful. "If this gets out, it changes everything."

Arthur met his gaze directly. "It will. That's exactly the intention."

His demeanor remained measured as he surveyed those gathered around him. "This isn't just about saving lives; it's about defining the world we want to build after this crisis. We are the ones who will determine what rises from the ashes."

Arthur turned back to Evolon, his tone resolute. "Show me the network assets."

Instantly, thousands of points of light brightened the holographic globe before them.

Evolon continued, "Current Osborn Hospital Network — 195,958 locations worldwide across 397 countries."

Arthur then faced Dr. Velora Tan, speaking with firm authority. "Velora, our plan is to initiate distribution directly through our hospitals, no middlemen. You'll be responsible for logistics, concentrating on areas with high population density. But first, tackle countries and regions that have been overlooked, while coordinating with our medical AI teams."

Velora nodded decisively, her determination evident. "Got it."

Arthur shifted his attention to Emily Osborn, the influential media mogul behind Osborn Media. "Second aunt, you're tasked with crafting our narrative. Every network, channel, and stream must echo our message. I want round-the-clock coverage; silence isn't an option between updates."

Emily smiled professionally. "You're looking for saturation."

Arthur clarified sharply, "I want domination. Make it seem humanitarian, but keep in mind, this isn't charity; it's strategic positioning. Our message is the cure."

He then turned to Garrick Thorne, the head of Osborn Pharmaceuticals and Biotech Group. "All flagship stores should be fully operational, across every city and capital. Increase production tenfold and use our secondary labs as backups."

Evolon smoothly projected the data: "Current flagship facilities: 682,489. Production can be scaled up by 940 percent with current energy resources."

"Excellent," Arthur remarked, satisfied. "Push it to the maximum! Flood the market; the companies profiting from inadequate solutions will collapse when people see real results."

Garrick nodded in agreement. "And what about pricing?"

Arthur smirked slightly, a calculated expression revealing the depth of his strategy. "Set prices low enough to appear noble, but high enough to dismantle our competition."

Turning to Luke, the head of E-Commerce, who was eager to move forward, Arthur instructed, "Online integration starts now! The Hivemind App will be the exclusive platform for ONCURA orders, with our drone network handling all deliveries."

Evolon flashed more data: "Hivemind App user base currently stands at 2 billion; drone capacity allows for a daily delivery range of 5.2 billion."

Arthur said decisively, "Let's double those numbers! Launch a global ad campaign and create referral incentives; ensure that every home, phone, and voice assistant recognizes ONCURA!"

Luke smiled at the ambitious plan laid out before them.

"What about our competitors?" Luke inquired.

Arthur maintained his calm demeanor as he replied, "They'll either adapt or disappear."

He then focused on Billy and Kaia, who sat attentively side by side. "Billy, Kaia," Arthur said, his tone softer yet authoritative, sensing their eagerness to take on responsibility.

"The Foundation will lead ground operations: relief efforts and free aid for impoverished regions alongside medical camps; you'll be the face of Osborn compassion."

Kaia nodded seriously in response. "Understood."
