His roar spread through the ocean as it sent a shockwave through the waters, permeating through the ocean and through the minds of the various monsters, having a profound impact on them.
Most monsters and beasts froze as his Authority took hold, gaining complete control over most of them in a heartbeat. Even if he wasn't a creature of the ocean, his Martial Embodiment was that of Water, allowing him to have a tremendous amount of control over them as a being of water.
His recent Enlightenment of Water also helped him gain legitimacy as most life within the Great Nam Ocean acknowledged his Authority.
The quasi-Transcendents, however, were not so easily convinced. Rui's instincts tingled as countless powerful monsters converged on him, threatening to crush him where he stood.
A giant kraken emerged before him, whipping its tentacles at him at remarkably high speeds despite being underwater.
WHOOSH
Rui smoothly teleported out of the way as he coursed through the water, launching powerful aquatic sonic bullets at the titanic creature.
BOOOOOMMM!!!
The kraken shuddered as the impact permeated deep through the resonant frequency of the creature. Before he could even try to exert his authority over it, a giant leviathan surged in at alarming speeds, unleashing a powerful headbutt that blasted into Rui hard.
BOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
And yet, he remained steady, blocking the heavy attack smoothly as he converted it into his own power with Anti-Spiral, before launching its own impact back at it.
BOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
The serpent hissed with pain, shuddering as it retreated some ways back. It hadn't expected such a small creature to be able to absorb its attacks so well and use it against it as easily.
If he were only dealing with two monsters, however, he would have had an easy time. He had reached such an astronomical level of power that even the quasi-Transcendent beasts and monsters at the highest echelon of the Tree of Life couldn't possibly hurt him.
However, he was dealing with an army of challengers.
Challengers who did not recognize his authority.
He gritted his teeth as five more quasi-Transcendent monsters emerged before him at shocking rates.
A gigaladon shark, a bloop, a charybdis, a hydra, and a cetus.
Some of the most powerful creatures are within the depths of the ocean.
Rui's eyes widened as the bloop, a creature the size of an island, opened its giant mouth, surging forth to eat him and everything within a kilometer of him in the blink of an eye.
The giant creature was shaped like an airship, with its mouth covering over half of its body, covering a vast area with a single bite. Not even Rui could easily evade it through motion alone.
He didn't need to.
WHOOSH
He teleported out of the mouth of the creature, gazing at it with a hint of pity.
Teleportation was a completely broken ability against most of nature because no creature had evolved to deal with teleporting prey or predators. The entirety of the genomic design of what was supposed to be a ferocious predator was rendered obsolete by his Worm Step.
That didn't mean that there was nothing that they could do, of course.
RUMBLE!!!!!
The world shook as Rui felt a powerful tug on his body pulling him at him at alarming rates. The Charybdis had taken root at the bottom of the sea and on the ocean floor, pulling at him with a tremendously powerful suction force.
Before Rui could even attempt Worm Step, the hydra and cetus converged on him at high speed, threatening to crush him with great weight and power.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
He defended himself even as he carefully neutralized their attack. He grew more hesitant with teleportation as more and more aquatic monsters converged on his position, eager to take a bite of the strongest challenger for the throne.
The bottom of the ocean was pitch black, forcing him to rely on his other senses to perceive them. The roar of the ocean pushing against his eardrums only grew louder as more and more of them approached him, putting more and more pressure on him.
Whether they were coordinating to take him down or whether it was simply because of the power he displayed and the fear he made them feel on an individual basis, their attacks began weaving together, and from a distance where they could inflict more damage on him together if they worked together.
BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!!!
Rui found himself in a hail of attacks converging on him from all directions, reaching a level of firepower that was difficult even for him to take on. He gritted his teeth as he struggled to teleport under the maelstrom of attacks converging upon him.
The pressures reached extraordinary levels, making it difficult to open a momentary wormhole that could suck his body in. The greater the physical pressure pressing on him, the more energy it took to teleport, for he needed to cancel out the pressure to ensure it didn't disrupt his wormhole creation process.
The fact that he was at the bottom of the Great Nam Ocean was also quite rough. Even though the Great Nam Ocean was nowhere near as deep as the Great Void Ocean, it was still quite deep, making the water pressure extremely intense.
BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!!!
The quasi-Transcendent beasts and monsters swam around him, circling him, threatening to crush him alive with the tremendous onslaught of attacks.
And yet, they were underestimating him if they thought this was enough to defeat him.
"Hellverse." Rui's eyes glowed with power as he activated his antithetical domain series technique, using the Tree of Life to identify their most antithetical environments and exerting all his power to inflict that upon them.
He also activated Hypertrophic Surge, using it to give him extra raw power to manipulate the environment of water around the creatures while using his Enlightenment of Water in conjunction with the Forge of Creation to create countless antithetical water domains.
"ROOOOAAAAARRRRRRR!!!"
The monsters and beasts of the ocean writhed in pain as they struggled in the environments antithetical to their very life force.
