The Reborn Demon King Girl

Chapter 75: Rose Is Restless

Rose was having tea with an Elf.

"Miss Elf, have you gotten used to life here?" Rose poured the Elf some of her own brewed tea, "There are many things here concocted by Miss Mohe. They may be somewhat peculiar, but overall, as long as you don't offend Miss Mohe, there shouldn't be any problems. Besides, it's actually quite difficult to anger her."

Yes, it's very difficult to make Mohe angry; at least for ordinary people, you have no way to provoke her.

For example, if you directly challenge Mohe, she might just look at you with interest, silently enjoying your performance, and then encourage you to try even harder.

The one who can most easily arouse Mohe's emotions is, of course, Doro. The same things, the same actions carry a different weight when it's Doro—Mohe almost never hides her special feelings for Doro. Only Doro can stir her emotions with certain matters.

So in Mohe's mansion, interacting with her isn't the most important thing; getting along well with others is what truly matters.

"Everything here is wonderful, so much so that I feel a bit undeserving. Speaking of which, in the past when rebelling against the Demon King—I never truly understood the Demon King, it seems a bit foolish in hindsight."

"You don't need to think that way." Rose remarked, "There are also cookies here. You can try them."

"Miss Rose, you are indeed skillful."

The Elf unceremoniously took a cookie and put it in her mouth, the sweet flavor spread through her mouth, the crisp texture gave a refreshing feeling, she couldn't help but smile: "This is really delicious, Miss Rose, your skills are amazing!"

She revealed a blissful smile.

Snow Elf... unexpectedly pure.

Seeing her figure, one would assume she's a rather cunning girl, yet she is as pure as snow... no wonder Doro would...

"Miss Rose, what's the matter with you? Why the frown?"

"Ah? Really?" Rose immediately denied it, "No, I was just lost in thought earlier, wondering whether Mr. Doro and his group are doing well. Although these matters shouldn't trouble them, if things don't go well, it could frustrate them, and having their pride hurt would be really awful, wouldn't it?"

"Ah... indeed."

The Elf agreed with her words: "Aren't you eating your own cookies? Clearly, you made them yourself. They taste great."

"I did taste them when they first came out of the oven. If something doesn't taste good, I wouldn't serve it to everyone. So, you don't have to worry about me; the one who cooks doesn't go hungry."

That makes a lot of sense.

"Then I won't hold back anymore!"

The Elf happily ate the cookies.

"So, Miss Rose, did you have something you wanted to talk to me about today?"

Rose looked somewhat surprised at the Elf: "Why do you think so?"

The Elf replied as a matter of fact: "With so many people in the mansion, there's no need to curry favor with me, right? If it was about trying new snacks, my sisters might be more forthright. Since you've come to me directly, there must be something you want to discuss."

Innocent and straightforward yet not foolish?

"Well, I do have something to say… actually, just a conversation. I have a few questions for you, but they might be somewhat impolite, so I thought I'd butter you up first to avoid you refusing me."

"The cookies are indeed delicious, but, Miss Rose! I won't answer any questions that would make me unhappy!"

"That's fine."

Rose did not say how far her questions would go; she just tentatively asked: "What do you think of Mr. Doro?"

"What do I think?"

"Simply put, you like Doro, right?"

The Elf nodded: "Yes, of course, I like Doro. We once shared a deep bond, though you may not know…"

"I know, I've heard about your story."

Rose wasn't particularly interested in the Elf's and Doro's history: "What I mean is, would you want to be with Doro always? Like take him from Lisidorwei?"

Such a direct question, even the Elf seemed to catch the meaning: "Are you asking me this because you're planning to do so yourself?"

"I wouldn't say I'm planning to do so, still in the consideration phase, so your opinion is very important to me, I hope to understand your mindset."

Of course, many women find Doro attractive; within the Hero's party, those who failed hold no value in this regard. If they could have, they would've claimed Doro already, wouldn't they?

Take Ah Xion's opinion, for instance, it holds no merit. As Doro's mentor, if she had approached him boldly at the time, she might have secured him. Instead, she expected a moral, heroic figure to proactively fall for her just by wearing revealing clothes?

Who dreams like that with their head on such high pillows?

The Elf is different!

The Elf is the first in many years to make Doro truly "fly into a rage for his beloved". Although the Elf does have silver-white hair... Doro's bias for the Elf is almost overflowing.
