Inside the Dimension of Spirit, the atmosphere was different. The air was clearer, and the light that filled the space had a soft blue hue. The energy here was calm but profound, flowing endlessly like an ocean breeze.
Max appeared directly in the central area, where Lenavira lay on an ethereal platform of light. Her body was motionless, her dark skin glowing faintly with streaks of dark energy that pulsed in rhythm with her shallow breathing. Her once vibrant elven features were marred by the visible traces of the curse, faint cracks of shadow running across her arms and neck like marks of corruption.
Nearby stood Blob and Tian. The two had been working tirelessly to keep her condition from worsening. Blob's form glimmered faintly, his presence suffused with a powerful soul energy that radiated warmth, while Tian's hands were pressed together, releasing steady waves of spiritual force of the Dimension that kept Lenavira's life essence stable.
"Max, you're here," Blob said, glancing at him with a relieved expression.
Tian turned as well, his usually calm face now showing a trace of urgency. "Master, use the lotus right now," he urged. "Her condition is deteriorating faster than before. We can't delay any longer."
Hearing Tian's words, Max felt his chest tighten. His gaze fell on Lenavira again. She was still in her Dark Elf state, her long silver hair resting loosely across her shoulders, but her expression kept changing as if she were trapped in an unending nightmare.
Sometimes she frowned, sometimes she seemed to tremble faintly, and every now and then her lips parted slightly as if she wanted to say something—but no sound came out.
Max felt a sharp pain in his heart. Seeing her like this was unbearable. "Don't worry," he said softly, his voice low but firm. "I'll cure you for sure."
With that, he extended his hand and brought out a glowing sphere from his dimensional space. Inside it floated the Lotus of Clear Serenity. The moment it appeared, the entire Dimension of Spirit was illuminated by a soft golden light. The petals of the lotus were radiant, their glow gentle yet powerful, exuding a purity that seemed capable of washing away all darkness in existence.
Max released the sphere, and it drifted forward toward Lenavira. As it neared her, the protective layer surrounding the lotus cracked open soundlessly and dissolved into light particles. The lotus hovered above her body, spinning slowly in the air. Golden rays descended from its petals, enveloping her completely in a warm, radiant glow.
Blob crossed his arms and watched closely, his ethereal eyes narrowing with focus. "Hmm. The Lotus of Clear Serenity truly lives up to its legend," he murmured. "Its power is ancient and pure. Look—her energy flow is stabilizing. The curse is beginning to lose its grip."
Max looked closely as well. The dark marks on Lenavira's body began to fade ever so slightly. The once violent pulse of the curse energy grew weaker, and her breathing became steadier. For the first time in a long while, a faint sense of calm appeared on her face.
Blob nodded approvingly. "Her condition is improving. The lotus is definitely working. Its purification force is erasing the corruption from her soul and body alike."
His voice then lowered as his tone turned serious. "However, the curse that binds her is not a simple one. Whoever placed it must have used a power that defies normal laws. The lotus will erase it completely, but it will take time. It could be days—or even weeks—before she is fully freed."
Max's expression softened, and he nodded slowly. "As long as she recovers, that's all that matters."
He took a seat beside her glowing form, his gaze never leaving her. The golden light continued to shine across the Dimension of Spirit, reflecting softly in his eyes. He could feel the divine warmth brushing against his soul, bringing him a strange sense of peace.
He could see the golden energy weaving into her very being, pushing back the dark tendrils of the curse that had bound her for so long. Every pulse of light from the lotus seemed to weaken the shadowy marks that had tainted her body and soul.
He could feel it—her essence was slowly becoming lighter, purer. Yet, even with that visible improvement, Max knew the process would not be quick.
The curse that had taken root in Lenavira's body was not a common one. It was ancient and malicious, something that had likely been crafted with divine power. The lotus was powerful enough to cleanse it, but such a deep corruption would take time to remove completely.
"The light is working," Max said quietly, his tone thoughtful. "But it will take a long while before it's all gone."
Standing beside him, Tian nodded in agreement, though his expression carried no worry. He looked confident, even a little proud. "Master," he said softly, his voice calm but firm, "leave Lenavira to me and Blob. With the Lotus of Clear Serenity helping her, she will recover faster than before. The lotus will continuously feed her body and soul with its divine essence. And with the blessings of the Dimension of Spirit nurturing her from within, she will heal completely."
Blob's glowing form bobbed once in approval. "Tian is right," he said in his usual deep, serene tone. "Here, inside your Dimension of Spirit, no external interference can reach her. The environment here bends to your will, and the lotus is now in resonance with your soul. Together, this creates a perfect condition for purification and recovery. Lenavira is safe."
Max listened to them quietly, and a rare feeling of relief washed through him. For the first time since she had been cursed, he wasn't filled with that constant sense of fear or helplessness. Seeing her surrounded by the golden light, breathing steadily, he finally allowed himself to relax.
He gave a small nod. "Good," he said softly. "Then I'll leave her to the both of you."
For a few seconds, he simply watched Lenavira sleep. Her face, once twisted with pain and shadow, now looked peaceful under the golden light. The faint movement of her chest with each breath gave him reassurance that she would recover.
Then, shifting his gaze, Max asked, "How are things with the dragon egg and the spirits that followed it?"
Tian's expression brightened slightly at the question. "They are doing very well, Master," he said with a faint smile. "The dragon egg has been resting deep within the core of the Dimension of Spirit, absorbing energy from the environment you created. The nurturing force here is extraordinary. If my calculations are right, it will hatch by the time you ascend to the Divine Realm."
Max's eyes flickered slightly with surprise. "So soon?" he asked.
Tian nodded confidently. "Yes, Master. Its soul force is growing stronger every day. I can sense the life within it beginning to move. When the time comes, it will awaken naturally."
Blob floated closer and added, "As for the spirits, I've been guiding them in your absence. With the strength of this dimension supporting them, they've evolved much faster than before. They've learned to channel the spiritual essence here and even begun forming a proper society among themselves."
Max raised an eyebrow. "A society?" he repeated. "You mean they've organized themselves?"
