One mage however seemed happy about this outcome, especially with that screen floating before him.
[Supplementary Spell Copied: Dispel Magic]
[Spell level: God]
Aiden had witnessed the mages showcase spells, most of which he already knew.
Most went for the spells that Captain Charlotte taught them at the field the other day, Mice Steps and Quiet Tongue.
With only a few like Laela and Arianna using Goddess Embrace and Invisibility respectively.
Kayden had used an advanced level spell that sharpened the rough edges of a sword.
For this, he had to bring with him a blunt knife with rough edges, and after casting the spell, "Acuitus," the edges of the short knife smoothed out quite visibly.
Although different from the rest of them, it was only an intermediate level spell, but this one from Ambrose was the only spell that stood out remarkably.
Soon after the exams were done, and since they had all passed, the Grand Magus dismissed them.
As they all moved in different directions, Ambrose walked up to Aiden quietly and said to him in low tones, "Don't think I've forgotten about the other day. I'll have my lick back sooner or later."
"It's always threats from members of your guild. Can someone else come up with something new?" Aiden slammed his palm on his face disappointingly, before walking further away from Ambrose.
Somehow that only pissed Ambrose off the more as he continued on his way back to his guild with a frowning expression.
"Quit the look on your face, Kayden. You look almost pathetic," Amelia said to her brother as they had been walking out of the halls side by side.
"Mind your business, Amelia," Kayden stormed off in annoyance.

The new magic apprentices of Ravens Grave returned back to the guild feeling elated, save for Kayden.
The guild also looked to be in high spirits when they saw the mages walk in one after the other.
"Good job, guys!" A cheer from one of them came.
One after the other they cheered the magic apprentices, even Oliver, the only initiate of the guild, did so too.
They had barely even sat down when a servant came and knocked at their doors. It was answered by one of the mages, and the servant left with him a scroll after saying "New Mission Assigned to Ravens Grave."
The mage then handed the scroll over to Piers, who sat in the same corner as Elena, Aiden, Arianna, and Laela.
Piers stood up whilst opening the scroll so that he could put it up on the Notice Board within the guild's room.
"Okay, that's rather specific," Piers muttered. He had almost reached the notice board before turning back towards the seating corner he stood from.
"So this is a mission request from House Greystone. They want members of Ravens Grave to accompany them to a ceremonial event two towns away at Dunmere, and Arianna Greystone must be a part of the team that comes along. The team is expected to be at Greystone family house at the eve of sundown."
Arianna was taken aback at first and then rolled her eyes.
"Seems your father wants you back home that badly," Piers stated the obvious. "And he is paying a lot for it too. Every person part of the mission gets 300 gold coins each, and a mission like this usually requires at the least, five persons."
"Sign me up, Arianna," Oliver raised his hand almost desperately. Aside from the pay being good, he was hoping on taking multiple missions to increase his merit stars to stage 3 initiate.
"Uh… why am I being asked here? The mission is for the guild, and that's everyone," Arianna protested the responsibility.
"It's your House. I think it's only proper if you selected who to go with," Piers said, shrugging afterwards.
Arianna sighed, then glanced around the table and said, "Well I guess we are all going for the mission then."
"Yes!" Oliver was particularly excited about it.
Arianna then stood up and went towards Kayden, who had been listening but acted like he wasn't. "Would you like to join the mission with us?"
"Uhm… okay," Kayden agreed, nodding to her request.
Meanwhile, Aiden whispered into Laela's ears before stepping out, "I'll be in the training room upstairs."
His daily mission today was to practice the new basic sword forms that Katherine had showed him the previous day.
After Laela nodded in understanding, he stood up, and right before he walked into the corridor leading upstairs, he called out to Piers, "I'm going to practice those basics."
"I'll come with you," Piers replied, leaving the mission scroll on the table with Arianna and walking behind Aiden.
After a while of Practise, Piers sat on the ground trying to catch his breath. "And now you're beating me at the basics, and only after a day" he shook his head and sighed.
"Don't feel too bad man, you're doing pretty well" Aiden tried to be modest about it whilst extending his hand towards Piers and helping him up afterwards.
The system had also sent to Aiden, the reward notification for his daily mission completion

Later that day, about two hours before sundown, the party of seven consisting of Aiden, Kayden, Arianna, Laela, Oliver, Elena, and Piers left the guild for the Greystone Family House.
After a while, they arrived before a grand stone mansion.
The front entrance had wide stairs leading to large wooden doors, framed by lamps and trimmed hedges.
"Welcome to my home," Arianna said to her friends behind.
Except Kayden, who had been here a couple number of times as a child, the rest were astonished at the sight.
Well, House Greystone was the second most powerful family in Xathia for a reason.
The front doors opened, and a much older maid servant stepped out looking very much delighted to see Arianna.
"Oh, my dear, look at you! It's only been a few weeks, and you've blossomed even more. Your Father would be so happy." Her arms were parted while she made her way towards Arianna.
"It's good to see you as well, Martha. You've been keeping well, I hope?" Arianna embraced her with a warm smile on her face.
"Oh, bless you, my lady, I've been well enough. The house has been quiet without you, though. Come now, don't stand out here. Bring your friends in; there's plenty to eat." Martha beckoned on them all to come right in.
