Chapter 405: Ice Sword

The dragon circled around Shen Jingqi, letting out an earth-shattering roar.

As it locked eyes with Shen Jingqi, the dragon suddenly vanished.

In an instant, the fiery mountains were engulfed in roaring flames, with waves of heat rushing towards them. The stones on the mountain turned bright red, as if ready to melt at any moment.

"This place is too hot, how do we get through?" Xu An said, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

Shen Jingqi looked at the fiery mountains, feeling a bit worried. But he knew they had no choice.

"We'll have to brace ourselves and go. Be careful, everyone, and watch out for the flames," Shen Jingqi said.

They cautiously entered the fiery mountains and were immediately overwhelmed by the intense heat. Suddenly, a group of flame spirits flew out of the magma. These flame spirits were small in stature, but radiated scorching flames.

"It's flame spirits!" Lin Yu shouted.

The flame spirits breathed fire towards them, and the group scattered to evade. Shen Jingqi swung his sword, trying to attack the flame spirits, but they were too fast for him to hit.

"We're going to get cooked at this rate," Xu An said anxiously.

Shen Jingqi looked at the flame spirits, quickly pondering a strategy. Suddenly, he thought of the Justice Stone.

"Lin Yu, try using the power of the Justice Stone," Shen Jingqi said.

Lin Yu nodded, took the Justice Stone in hand, and cast a spell. The Justice Stone emitted a multi-colored light that enveloped the group. The flame spirits screamed when hit by the light and retreated back into the magma.

"The power of the Justice Stone really works," Shen Jingqi thought with joy.

They continued onward when suddenly, the ground started to shake violently. Next, a giant Flame Giant Beast emerged from the magma. This Flame Giant Beast was enormous, its body aflame, with eyes radiating fierce malice.

"What is this monster?" Xu An shouted in terror.

The Flame Giant Beast roared and charged at them, forcing Shen Jingqi and the others to quickly evade. The attacks from the Flame Giant Beast were powerful, each hit creating a big crater in the ground.

"We need to find a way to defeat it," Shen Jingqi said.

They began to attack the Flame Giant Beast together, but its strong defense meant their attacks did little damage.

"This isn't working; we need to find its weak point," Lin Yu said.

Shen Jingqi carefully observed the Flame Giant Beast and noticed a red-glowing crystal on its chest.

"That crystal might be its weak point; let's attack there," Shen Jingqi said.

They focused their efforts and attacked the crystal on the Flame Giant Beast's chest. Realizing their intention, the beast desperately protected its chest. However, with teamwork, they finally broke through its defense and hit the crystal.

After the crystal was struck, the Flame Giant Beast let out a cry, its body starting to wobble. Finally, it collapsed with a boom, transforming into a mass of flames.

The group sighed with relief and continued onward. When they reached the depths of the fiery mountains, they discovered a massive cave, which exuded a mysterious aura.

"The second treasure should be inside," Shen Jingqi said.

They entered the cave, which was dark and damp with a pungent odor. Suddenly, a swarm of bats flew down from the cave's ceiling. The bats were large and had sharp teeth, surging toward them.

"Bats!" Xu An shouted.

The group brandished their weapons to fend off the bats' attacks. Amid the fierce battle, they gradually ventured deeper into the cave. Finally, they reached the cave's end.

At the cave's end, the air was dark and humid, almost solidified. There was a stone platform etched with marks of time, with cracks resembling mysterious runes. On the platform was a box emanating a faint blue light, flickering in the darkness as if alive, hinting at an unknown mysterious power.

"This should be the second treasure," Shen Jingqi's voice echoed in the silent cave, tinged with excitement and a touch of tension. His gaze fixed tightly on the box, and his steps slowed unconsciously, each step feeling like stepping into unknown danger.

He slowly stepped forward, his heart pounding in his chest as if about to break through. Carefully reaching out, his fingers trembled slightly, and as he touched the box, a chill spread throughout his body. Taking a deep breath, he slowly opened the box. Inside lay a treasure sword emitting a bone-chilling cold, the blade like ice, flashing a fierce blue light. The hilt was inlaid with a blue gem, seemingly harboring endless secrets. This was the second treasure — the Ice Sword.

"We finally found the second treasure," the group cheered, their voices echoing through the cave, breaking the previous silence. Everyone's face was filled with joy, as if they saw the dawn of victory. However, they were unaware that danger was silently approaching.

Just as they were about to leave the cave, the cave suddenly began to shake violently. Huge stones fell from the cave's ceiling, creating deafening sounds. As stones hit the ground, dust was raised, and the entire cave seemed on the brink of tearing apart.

"Not good, the cave's collapsing, let's run!" Shen Jingqi shouted, his voice filled with urgency and fear. His eyes revealed a hint of panic, but he quickly regained composure, swiftly directing the group.

They came back to their senses from the joy, their faces turning pale instantly. They ran desperately towards the cave exit, their steps chaotic and hurried. Stones continued to fall behind, striking near them, and the rising dust blurred their vision.

Xu An ran at the forefront, sweat-soaked hair sticking to his forehead. He shouted hoarsely as he ran, "Stay close everyone, don't fall behind!"

Shen Jingqi closely followed Xu An, his gaze vigilantly scanning the surroundings, ready to respond to any sudden situation.

He tightly held the Justice Stone in his hand, thinking: "This Justice Stone and the Ice Sword must be protected; they cannot fall into the hands of evildoers."

At the back of the group was Lin Yu, whose stamina was waning, causing his pace to slow down. A massive stone fell from above, about to hit him. Shen Jingqi, quick-eyed and swift, pulled Lin Yu aside.

They finally ran out of the cave, just as it collapsed with a loud crash, dust filling the sky. The group collapsed to the ground, gasping for air, exhaustion, and horror etched on every face.

"That was close," Xu An gasped, his body still trembling uncontrollably.

"There's still one last treasure, we'll keep going," Shen Jingqi struggled to stand up, a determined will in his eyes. Though their bodies were exhausted, he knew the mission was not yet complete, and they could not stop here.
