Chapter 335: Data

In the dim corridor, the lights flickered uncertainly, emitting a "zzzz" electrical sound, as if they might go out at any moment. Shen Jingqi and Xu An were desperately sprinting ahead, while behind them, the footsteps of the robots were as dense as drumbeats, pounding on their hearts one after another. That sound echoed continuously in the silent and narrow corridor, like a summons from death, straining every nerve to its limit.

Shen Jingqi's breathing was rapid and heavy, each step seemed to exhaust all his strength. His eyes were fixed tightly ahead, trying to find a glimpse of hope in this endless darkness. Sweat soaked his back, sticking to his skin, but he had no time to care. He had only one thought in his mind: run, run faster, absolutely cannot let those robots catch them.

Xu An was not much better off, his hair drenched with sweat, strands sticking to his forehead. His legs moved mechanically, each step felt like stepping on cotton, soft yet forced to exert all strength. His mind raced, thinking about how to shake off the pursuers behind.

"Let's find a place to hide!" Xu An shouted loudly while running, his voice slightly trembling due to tension.

Shen Jingqi nodded in agreement. His gaze swept quickly around, hoping to find a place to hide. Just then, a turn appeared ahead, Shen Jingqi's eyes lit up, and he shouted: "Run over there!"

The two quickly turned the corner and found a room ahead that looked like a storeroom. The door was half-open, revealing a sliver of weak light. Without time to think, they rushed inside, then slammed the door shut with a "bang".

A musty smell filled the room, piles of various clutter everywhere. Shen Jingqi and Xu An leaned against the door, gasping for air, their hearts pounding in their chests like they would burst out. Their eyes were filled with fear and exhaustion, but more than that, a sense of relief to have survived.

"That was close, those robots are like ghosts, impossible to shake off." Shen Jingqi said, gasping, his voice still trembling, unwittingly clenching his fists.

Xu An nodded, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and said: "But we can't give up, we've found so many clues, we can't give up halfway. Let's rest for a bit, then continue to track down the mastermind." His eyes revealed a trace of determination, though his body was still slightly trembling, his tone was full of unquestionable resolve.

The two leaned against the wall, trying to calm themselves. After a while, their breathing returned to normal. Shen Jingqi stood up, looked around, and found the storeroom was messy but seemed safe. He walked over to the window, cautiously glanced outside, and only after confirming there were no robots, did he breathe a sigh of relief.

"Alright, let's continue." Shen Jingqi said, a spark of determination rekindled in his eyes.

Xu An also stood up, adjusted his clothes, and said: "Yes, we must uncover the mystery behind this experiment, save Cong Nanxue, and save the world."

The two carefully stepped out of the storeroom, continuing their exploration in the laboratory. They cautiously avoided every corner that might hide robots, each step was taken with trepidation.

Finally, they stopped at the door of a hidden room. The door was shut tight, a mysterious aura lingered around. Shen Jingqi and Xu An exchanged a glance, then Shen Jingqi slowly reached out his hand and gently pushed open the door.

A faint smell of disinfectant filled the room, with some computers and documents placed inside. The computer screens displayed strange codes and data, flickering with eerie lights, as if hiding countless secrets. Shen Jingqi and Xu An entered the room, carefully examining the documents.

Their eyes were full of curiosity and tension, each page turned seemed to open an unknown world. The documents recorded detailed information about the experiment and contained some vague clues about the mastermind behind it.

"So this experiment is related to space-time distortion, the mastermind behind it is trying to use this power to achieve their ambitions." Shen Jingqi murmured to himself as he looked at the documents, his brows tightly knit, eyes showing a hint of concern.

Xu An nodded, saying: "It seems this mastermind is no easy opponent, we need to be more cautious."

The two continued to carefully examine the documents, hoping to find more useful information. After some effort, they finally discovered some clues about the mastermind's identity and location. It turned out that the mastermind was a mysterious organization, secretly planning this experiment all along. The members of this organization spread across the globe, with formidable forces and resources.

"Such a vast organization... but we can't let them intimidate us. To save the world, we must fight them to the end." Shen Jingqi said firmly, his eyes showing fearless courage, fists clenched as if pumping himself up.

Xu An nodded, said: "Exactly, we have no retreat. Next, we need to devise a detailed plan, find the lair of the mastermind, and crush their plot in one go."

The two began discussing the plan in the room, considering every detail thoroughly. Their eyes sparkled with the light of wisdom, occasionally discussing in low voices, sometimes writing furiously, recording every idea.

"We need to locate the headquarters of this organization first, then find out their defense arrangements, and then look for an opportune moment to launch an attack." Shen Jingqi said, his fingers lightly sliding over the map, as if planning a thrilling battle.

Xu An nodded, adding: "And we must watch out for their spies, they might have already noticed our actions, secretly monitoring us."

The deeper they discussed, the more they seemed to see the dawn of victory. However, just as they were immersed in the joy of planning, a sudden alarm sounded. The alarm was sharp and piercing, like a sword, instantly breaking the calmness in the laboratory.

"Not good, the robots might have found us. We must leave here immediately." Xu An said, his eyes full of caution, quickly standing up, ready to pack.

Shen Jingqi's face changed too, his heart beating rapidly, a sense of foreboding surged in his heart. The two quickly packed their things, ready to leave the room. But when they opened the door, they found the corridor outside already filled with robots.

The robots were armed, glaring at them menacingly. Their bodies emitted a cold metallic sheen, appearing especially terrifying under the alarm. A robot stepped forward, coldly saying: "Hand over the box and documents."
