They moved cautiously, each step like treading on thin ice, afraid of making too much noise and disturbing the fearsome monster. Their eyes were fixed on the monster, not daring to look away for a moment, as if any slight negligence would prompt the monster to attack suddenly. The monster's massive body was like a moving hill, exuding a chilling aura, with every hair seemingly proclaiming its majesty.

The monster seemed to sense their intentions, its enormous head turned slightly, and its eyes, as big as bronze bells, flickered with a ferocious light. Suddenly, it let out a roar, like a clap of thunder reverberating in the air, making their ears ache. Immediately, it charged towards them, each step causing the ground to tremble slightly. Its claws were like sharp blades, glinting cold in the sunlight, carrying a whistling sound as they reached for them.

Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue quickly dodged to the sides. The monster's claws skimmed past their bodies, creating a gust of wind that messed up their hair. They took the opportunity to quicken their pace, running towards the monster's rear, every step exerting their utmost effort, as if a demon were pursuing them. The monster noticed them running and immediately turned to chase them. Its speed was incredible, closing the distance between them in just a few strides, the heavy footsteps pounding like the drumbeats of death.

"Hurry! Faster!" Shen Jingqi shouted, his voice full of urgency and tension. Beads of sweat covered his forehead, sliding down his cheeks, but he didn't have time to wipe them off, just desperately running forward. Lin Yue didn't speak, but her eyes revealed determination and resolve, closely following behind Shen Jingqi without the slightest slack.

Just as they were about to be caught by the monster, they finally circled to the monster's rear. They saw that the glowing object was a crystal orb emitting a mysterious aura. The crystal orb floated in mid-air, surrounded by a faint halo, like a dreamlike presence. Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue exchanged a glance, filled with doubt. What could this crystal orb have to do with the secret? Could it be the key to unlocking the secret? Their minds were filled with various speculations, but none of the answers could completely assure them.

"What secret does this crystal orb hold?" Lin Yue asked softly, with a trace of curiosity and unease in her voice.

Frowning, Shen Jingqi thought for a moment and said, "I don't know, but since it's here, it must not be simple. Let's worry about it later and first think about how to get rid of this monster."

As they were pondering, the monster approached them again. It opened its bloody mouth, revealing sharp teeth, and lunged at them. That bloody mouth seemed like a bottomless abyss, with no chance of survival once swallowed. In a moment of desperation, Shen Jingqi picked up a rock from the ground and threw it at the monster's eyes. The rock traced an arc in the air, accurately hitting the monster's eye. The monster let out a miserable cry and momentarily halted its attack. Its body swayed a few times, covering its injured eye with its paw, roaring with anger.

"Great opportunity, run!" Shen Jingqi shouted and pulled Lin Yue towards the crystal orb. They took the chance to run to the crystal orb and carefully observed it. The surface of the crystal orb was smooth as a mirror, seeming to hold some blurry images within, like countless secrets waiting for them to discover. Lin Yue reached out her hand and gently touched the crystal orb. The moment her fingers touched the crystal orb, a strange electric current spread throughout her body, causing her to shiver.

Suddenly, the crystal orb emitted a strong light, enveloping them. The light was so dazzling that they couldn't open their eyes, only feeling that everything around was spinning. When the light dissipated, they found themselves in a strange space. Around them was a scene of illusion, with sparkling stars, like brilliant gems embedded in the black sky; floating clouds, white as snow, exuding a mysterious aura. In the center of the space stood a huge stone tablet, covered with ancient runes, twisted and mysterious like tadpoles.

Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue stepped forward to closely examine the runes on the stone tablet. These runes were unlike anything they had seen before, yet seemed to exert an invisible force, compelling their gaze. Shen Jingqi reached out his hand, attempting to touch the runes, but stopped his fingers just short of touching the tablet, filled with awe and hesitation.

"What do these runes mean?" Lin Yue asked softly, her eyes full of confusion.

Shen Jingqi shook his head and said, "I don't know either, but I feel they're important and might unveil the secret here."

Suddenly, the runes on the stone tablet began to flash, and an ancient voice sounded in their ears: "Since you have come here, you are destined to uncover this secret. But behind this secret lies great peril; do you wish to continue?" That voice seemed to come from a distant past, imbued with age and authority.

Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue exchanged a look, their eyes full of determination. Shen Jingqi said loudly, "We wish to! We must uncover the truth." His voice echoed in the space, full of resolve and courage.

The runes on the stone tablet flashed more intensely, and scenes appeared in the void. In the scenes, they saw the figure of the black-clothed man standing before a mysterious altar, surrounded by people clad in black robes. Strange items were placed on the altar, emitting eerie light, the kind that seemed to have life, twisting and jumping in the air.

As the scenes progressed, they learned that this secret was related to an ancient curse. This curse had existed for hundreds of years, guarded by a group of mysterious people. The organization to which the black-clothed man belonged sought to utilize the power of this curse to achieve their unspeakable goals. Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue were filled with shock, realizing the enormous responsibility they bore.

"So everything is related to the curse; what on earth does that black-clothed man intend to do?" Lin Yue frowned, worry written on her face.

Clenching his fists, Shen Jingqi said, "No matter what he intends to do, we can't let him succeed. We must stop him."

As they prepared to further explore for more clues, the space suddenly began to shake violently. The surroundings began to distort and deform, as if a powerful force was tearing apart this space. The stars sparkled more frantically, and the clouds turned chaotic, like a flock of birds startled into flight.
