"My twin sister," Caelum replied.
"Oh, Wait, what!!" Orion exclaimed.
"You're a twin?" Orion asked again.
"Yes, fraternal twins to be precise," Caelum replied.
'That's certainly interesting,' Orion thought.
"Wait a minute, if you're twins, is she also-" Orion started, looking at Caelum strangely.
"If you mean, dedicated to serving you, yes, she is. Considering I already have a head start, she's definitely going to get jealous." Caelum said with a smug expression.
Orion just facepalmed,
"That's not something to be proud of," He muttered with a sigh.
Just then, his spatial sense picked up a familiar presence, and a smile appeared on his face.
"It seems the troublemaker's finally arrived," He muttered, looking in a particular direction.
A few seconds later, Seris appeared in their view, and she was practically sprinting to them, a wide smile on her face.
"Orion!!" She squealed before hugging him.
Orion just chuckled before they let go of each other.
"We just saw each other yesterday, Seris," Orion said with a smile.
It was surprising how innocent and friendly the girl was. They had just met yesterday, and she was already getting attached; then again, maybe it wasn't so surprising, they were ten after all.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked with a pout.
"It means you're being clingy," Orion heard a different voice this time.
He had sensed her, too, when she arrived, but she wasn't familiar, so he ignored her. But seeing how she followed Seris here, he guessed they were friends.
"That's mean, I'm not clingy," Seris denied, pointing at the girl.
Orion turned to her; the girl had silver hair as usual, and this time, he wasn't complaining, considering how his first encounter with different colours had gone. Her hair was tied in a proper bun, giving her a dignified look; she had vivid blue eyes and wore a straight gown that complemented her still small stature.
Her expression was one of stoic calm, which was surprising considering the comment she just delivered. All in all, she gave off a prim and proper aura.
'Her vibe feels familiar, ' Orion thought before turning to Caelum, his eyes widening in realisation.
"She's your twin, isn't she?" Orion asked Caelum.
"Yes, young master meet m-" Caelum started.
"There is no need for that, Caelum, I'd rather introduce myself," She interrupted.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, young master. I'm Selene Chronos. I look forward to serving you." She said, her expression unchanged, before curtsying.
Orion just sighed. Was he going to have a repeat of Caelum?
"At least you introduced yourself," Orion couldn't help but mutter, giving a side glance to Caelum.
Caelum just feigned a cough, his gaze turning elsewhere.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, too, Selene," Orion said, bringing his hand out for a shake.
Selene briefly hesitated before taking his hand.
Seris just watched, her mouth wide open, wondering what was going on. Here she thought she could brag about the fact that she made a new friend and play the role of introducing them to each other, and now-
"Servitude aside, we're going to come back to that later," Orion said with a sigh.
"How exactly did you befriend Seris?" Orion asked, perplexed.
"Hey!!" Seris couldn't help but exclaim, mildly offended by his statement.
He just couldn't see how a bundle of excitement like Seris could befriend this stoic girl.
"Well, I overheard her bragging and mentioning how she made friends with a boy named Orion Chronos and how they hit it off and the likes with a smug expression on her face," Selene explained.
"Why would you tell him that, Selene!!" Seris exclaimed, quickly covering the girl's mouth, a blush on her face.
"And did you have to mention that last part?" Seris said, glaring at the girl.
"He... asked" Selene's muffled voice came through, her expression still plain, as though she hadn't said anything wrong.
Orion just laughed, amused by their antics. He wasn't surprised Seris would do something like that. Still, he noted another fact, either Seris was just that good at socialising, or the female faction of Magnum1.1 weren't inherently loners.
That last thought brought a sigh out of Orion.
"So, you befriended her just to get to me?" Orion asked, trying to understand.
By this point, Seris had let her go.
"No, I simply asked where you both had met, and ever since then she's been pestering me to be her friend," Selene replied.
And Orion could swear he noticed an aggrieved expression on her face before it passed.
Orion turned back to Seris with a questioning gaze.
"What? I couldn't resist; she looked so cute, and I thought we'd become perfect besties." Seris said, a blush forming on her face.
"Right," Orion just smirked.
"So, now that we've settled that, can we start our plan now?" Seris asked with an excited expression, her mood making a rebound.
"Well, that's going to be a problem," Orion said.
"Why?" Seris asked.
"Well, we've kind of already gone ahead with the plan," Orion muttered, hesitantly.
And as he expected.
"What!!" Seris exclaimed.
"You traitor! I thought we agreed to do it together," Seris said, her expression betraying, while pointing at Orion.
"I know, but I thought we could try to relate with the senors before you arrived and then when you got here, we'd get the info together, but then the whole incident happened, and I decided to just get the info," Orion explained, with a sheepish expression.
That was a lie; he wanted as much info before the energy ball arrived.
"I can't believe you'd do that to me, one day in and you already betrayed our relationship," Seris said, her arms crossed, shaking her head.
'Now that sounds wrong, ' Orion thought.
"Alright, I'm sorry, I promise to make it up to you," Orion apologised.
"Fine, I forgive you," Seris said, her expression taking on the drastic change he'd come to know her for.
"So, what happened?" Seris asked with an eager expression.
"Well-" Orion went on to explain everything that happened prior to now.
