"The Smite God Whip?"
Qin Heng was startled. He had seen this divine artifact when he was in the Immortal realm. It was a Divine Weapon that complemented the Immortal realm's treasure, the Investiture of the Gods.
As long as one's name was on the Investiture of the Gods, they would surely die upon contact with the Smite God Whip!
Even without the coordination of the Investiture of the Gods, it was still a treasure specifically aimed against divine beings.
Whether one became a god through acquired means or was an Innate Deity, as long as they possessed divine attributes, they would be restrained by the Smite God Whip.
It could truly be called a peerless Divine Weapon!
In the Immortal realm, it was a treasure that even the gods feared.
However, for non-divine experts, the Smite God Whip was at most a Magic item with considerable power, posing no significant threat. Qin Heng, in his previous life, had toyed with the Investiture of the Gods but had not paid much attention to the Smite God Whip.
But no matter what, it was considered a treasure of the Immortal realm and should have been kept in the Heavenly Emperor Haotian's treasure vault.
Yet, according to what Chu Qingshan said, it would appear on Earth?
How could such a thing happen! Or could it be a replica of the Smite God Whip, not the real deal?
Qin Heng's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at Chu Qingshan and said, "I know of the Smite God Whip. The appearance of such an unmatched Divine Weapon would likely attract countless powers to vie for it. How did you come to know of this, and why do you tell me?"
"If I speak, there's a slim chance of survival. If I don't, death is certain." Chu Qingshan shook his head gently, pointed at his legs, and said, "Twenty years ago, I had a bit of a reputation in the Tianhai Martial Arts World, and I had some connections with the former Palace Master of the Dongyue Palace.
"I ventured into the Immortal Mountain Ruins within the Qinling Mountains with several friends. Heh, they were called Immortal Mountain Ruins, but it was really just hearsay. Back then, young and impetuous, we went in without considering the dangers.
"In the end, only I came out alive. My friends, including the former Palace Master of the Dongyue Palace, all died inside. Although I lived and learned some secrets, my legs were ruined.
"If it weren't for the local villagers who found me, I likely would have been devoured by wild beasts."
"What did you encounter in those Immortal Mountain Ruins?" Qin Heng asked with interest. This Earth seems full of mysterious secrets, quite different from the Earth I knew in my previous life.
"A towering palace, Immortals flying in the sky, a radiant golden light, brilliant crimson glows, and snippets of conversation between two Immortals." A hint of envy and fear flashed in Chu Qingshan's eyes.
"Twenty-two years later, the Dharma Decline will end, Spiritual Energy will resurge, the mystical will reappear, and our Martial Dao shall rise! The first Divine Weapon to appear should be in Guangling: the Smite God Whip!"
Chu Qingshan rubbed his temples and said, "Then, those two Immortals noticed us. I still remember their gaze; it was like they were looking at a bunch of monkeys...
"With a wave of their hands, they turned my friends into ashes. These were individuals with Hidden Force, even Half-step Grandmasters, yet in their presence, they were like ants, utterly powerless to resist.
"I just don't know why they didn't kill me—"
"Because they needed you to spread the news of the resurgence of Spiritual Energy and the emergence of the Smite God Whip," Qin Heng said indifferently. "More than just your group must have strayed into the Qinling Mountains over the years; certainly, many others entered.
"Some died, and some, like you, lived to come out bearing secrets about the future. Those supposed Immortals within the Immortal Mountain Ruins must have another agenda."
After all, it would have been too easy for those people to kill Chu Qingshan. His being able to come out must have been intentional. If there was one like him, there couldn't have been just one.
Moreover, I don't believe those people were really Immortals.
After all, the power of a True Immortal is vast and boundless, capable of destroying stars with a flip of the hand and reversing the cosmos. It's highly unlikely for such beings to appear on a common Mortal World star.
Furthermore, where a True Immortal resides is indeed a blessed land. If a True Immortal truly appeared on Earth, then within days, the entire Earth would transform into a grand cultivating star brimming with Spiritual Energy, remarkably suited for cultivation!
Most likely, what Chu Qingshan had encountered were Cultivators who had achieved Foundation Establishment or a higher level, or Martial Artists of a comparable level with the ability to soar the skies freely.
The Earth in this world is rather peculiar; the martial arts inherited are not, as I initially thought, merely basic fist and foot techniques, but a truly different form of cultivation that is not much weaker than Immortal Cultivation.
For example, the ancient Divine Skill "Sun God Deity Scripture" cultivated by Huangfu Taiyi, is an extremely powerful martial art. Even in the Immortal Cultivation World, there are probably few Cultivation Techniques that could match it.
However, no matter the Cultivation Technique, none could compare to me cultivating with my experience as an Eternal-level Immortal Emperor. Currently, I'm not practicing any specific Cultivation Technique, yet I am stronger than all Cultivation Techniques, all paths!
Because I, Qin Heng, am the strongest, the invincible!!
"You just told me that speaking up offers a slim chance of survival, while silence means certain death. You must have discovered something else," Qin Heng looked at Chu Qingshan and said indifferently. "Explain it simply and clearly. What do you want?"
"I want to live on, to live well in the upcoming great age of strife," Chu Qingshan said. "My legs are disabled, rendering me handicapped. It's manageable in times of peace, but any societal upheaval could spell trouble for our family.
"Grandmaster Qin, you and Yunyun have known each other since childhood, and your relationship is good. I hope you can obtain the Smite God Whip, then find the Investiture of the Gods, and then—deify me!"
Deify!? This Chu Qingshan's ambition isn't small. There indeed is a connection between the Smite God Whip and the Investiture of the Gods, and Chu Qingshan even knew this. The secrets he gained twenty years ago must be more than what he just said.
Qin Heng looked at Chu Qingshan with a smile that was not quite a smile and asked faintly, "What's in it for me?"
"To hold the Investiture of the Gods and wield the Smite God Whip would make you the Supreme Overlord of the future, the Supreme Divine Emperor!" Chu Qingshan's eyes gleamed as he spoke with gravity. "Isn't that enough?"
"Without the Investiture of the Gods, without the Smite God Whip, am I not still the Supreme Overlord?" Qin Heng suddenly stood up, scoffing. "Chu Qingshan, if you truly wish to live, tell me everything you know, every single detail.
"Don't hold onto any vain hope. Otherwise, even if Chu Yun pleads for you, I will not spare you!"
Qin Heng's aura surged out, as if an Immortal Emperor from the heavens had descended to the mortal realm—exalted, looking down upon the common world!
The pressure was terrifying!!
"Grandmaster Qin..." Chu Qingshan suddenly found himself at a loss for words, his expression flickering uncertainly.
BANG!!
Just then, a loud crash resounded as the Chu family's security door was kicked open. A middle-aged man in a white martial arts uniform walked in. He had a crew cut and an ordinary appearance, and was followed by seven young men who stood at the door, their gazes predatory.
"Heh, it seems I've arrived just in time." The middle-aged man smiled faintly, glanced at Qin Heng and Chu Qingshan, and said, "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Qiu Beihai of the Hongmen. Today, I've come to take Chu Qingshan's life and Qin Xuantian's head.
"But before that, Mr. Chu, please tell us about the Smite God Whip and the Investiture of the Gods. If our chat is pleasant, I might leave your wife and daughter intact corpses."
"A mere jumping clown dares to be presumptuous in my presence?" Qin Heng spoke calmly, his gaze icy as he looked at Qiu Beihai. He declared sternly, "Kneel! Then accept your death!"
