Share a room?
But that's a king-size bed!
You're a man and a woman!
And you're both young!
Just sleeping together in one bed, are you sure that's okay?
The receptionist was a bit bewildered.
She was also in her early twenties, in the prime of her youth.
Working at the hotel reception, she had seen plenty of couples check into rooms; that was quite normal.
But those were couples who arrived together or had made arrangements in advance.
What was the situation now?
This girl who arrived first and the handsome young man who followed clearly didn't know each other; this was their first meeting!
And they were going to stay together!?
Although this young man was tall and handsome, that didn't seem enough to tempt someone to this extent, right? Moreover, the girl was also very attractive with a great figure. She shouldn't be lacking suitors!
Was she that desperate?
The receptionist fell into deep self-doubt. Could it be that at twenty-one, I'm already old? Am I not keeping up with the pace of young people's lives now?
Qin Heng was also slightly surprised. He looked at the girl. She was tall and beautiful. Her clothes and bag were clearly designer, suggesting a wealthy background. Moreover, her eyebrows were slightly furrowed, and her demeanor pure; she was still a virgin.
Why would she so easily agree to share a room with a strange man?
And a king-size bed at that.
Qin Heng looked at the girl with a non-smile. "Are you sure?" he asked. "You want to share a room with me?"
"I'm sure." The girl nodded seriously, her teeth lightly biting her red lips, her delicate body trembling slightly. "You look like an honest person, so you wouldn't dare do anything. I pity you, so I'm giving you a place to stay! Let's go, Room 7."
With that, she turned and left the reception desk.
"Interesting." Qin Heng chuckled softly. He was bored, and running into such an intriguing girl seemed like a decent experience.
After he presented his ID to the receptionist and his information was entered, he headed towards Room 7.
He opened the door to the room.
As soon as Qin Heng entered, he felt a cool sensation on his face, as if something had been sprayed on him. But he seemed to have anticipated it and calmly closed the room door.
Then, CLICK!
The lock turned!
He turned to look at the stunned girl.
"You—how could you!?" Seeing Qin Heng act as if nothing had happened and even lock the door, the girl was immediately shocked. She stumbled back in confusion, panicking, "What do you want to do!?"
"Hypnotic spray?" Qin Heng slowly stepped forward, looking calmly at the girl with a slight smile. "What were *you* trying to do?"
"I... I... You... you..." The girl was completely flustered. Qin Heng was unaffected by the Hypnotic Spray, and the situation instantly spiraled out of her control. She stumbled backward, screaming, "AH! AH!!"
She stumbled backward until she reached the edge of the bed and fell onto it.
Instantly, her face turned deathly pale.
But then, she realized nothing was happening.
Qin Heng hadn't come over to assault her. Instead, he found a chair, sat down, and was now looking at her with that same non-smile.
The girl was bewildered. She sat up, feeling somewhat relieved yet inexplicably puzzled. Looking at Qin Heng, she stammered, "You... how...?"
AHHH! What am I even expecting?!
The girl screamed internally, embarrassed to an extreme. Her beautiful face flushed crimson.
In fact, a blush spread from her delicate face down her slender neck. She had never been alone in a room with any man before.
"Don't get too worked up." Qin Heng chuckled lightly from his chair. "I'm not interested in you. However, your little scheme does warrant some minor punishment."
Then, he abruptly stood up. His tall figure blocked the hotel room's already dim light, plunging the girl's vision into shadow.
"You—you—you! What do you want?! No! Don't come over! Don't come over!"
The girl's mind descended into chaos. She cried out, scrambling like a startled rabbit to the corner of the room. She pulled the blanket over herself, leaving only her head exposed, and watched Qin Heng with sheer terror in her eyes.
Beneath the blanket, her soft body trembled incessantly with fear. She deeply regretted her actions, her gaze even flicking to the nearby window as she wondered if she could escape by jumping.
But upon further thought, she gave up.
This was the twenty-third floor, after all. A jump would mean being smashed to pieces on impact.
What could she do now? What could she do?!
"You... what do you want?! Why is the Hypnotic Spray ineffective against you? I've tested it before! It can put three strong adults to sleep instantly!"
The girl was on the verge of tears, having never imagined that she would end up in this situation.
"Your spray, even if it were ten thousand times more potent, would be useless against me." Qin Heng shook his head gently, his voice calm. "What's your name, and what were you trying to do? Judging by your clothes and current state, your family background seems decent. Your eyes are red, as if you've just cried. Heartbreak? Or did you run away from home?"
Qin Heng stated his deductions.
He hadn't really planned on doing anything to her.
He just needed to give her a little lesson.
To show her the consequences of daring to scheme against him.
"Why should I tell you!" The girl turned her head away, refusing to look at Qin Heng. She huffed, "I advise you to back off right now, or else I'm going to scream for help!"
"Go ahead and scream." Qin Heng smiled. "Even if you scream your throat raw, no one will come to rescue you."
The room had been soundproofed by him.
Not only would the girl's screams go unheard, but even a bomb exploding in here wouldn't be audible to anyone outside.
"So arrogant! Are you planning to commit a crime?" The girl frowned. "You'll regret this! Help! Somebody help! There's a pervert here! Save me! Somebody, quickly! Save me!"
She screamed with all her might. Under normal circumstances, her cries would likely be heard throughout the entire hotel, prompting people to investigate quickly.
But now, with the soundproofing he had put in place, people outside couldn't hear anything from inside the room, let alone the girl's screams.
She screamed for a long time, but absolutely no one came.
It was as if, in the entire hotel, only she and Qin Heng—who had now sat down on the edge of the bed—existed.
The girl was in despair.
Her eyes were red-rimmed. Tears blurred her vision as she looked at Qin Heng, now beside her on the bed. She pleaded, her voice choked, "Please, don't! Don't come any closer! I... I really didn't mean to do anything to you..."
She was scared!
Truly scared!
Having never experienced such a situation before, she was now filled with regret.
She shouldn't have been so reckless, playing with fire just to be clever. Now she had truly burned herself, and crying for help was useless!
"Then what were you trying to do?" Qin Heng looked at her calmly, his voice steady. "Inviting a strange man to share your room... that's not something a proper young lady does."
"SOB... SOB... SOB..." The girl actually started crying, tears streaming down her cheeks. She bit her lip and stammered, "Please... don't... don't..."
Qin Heng was rendered speechless. This was clearly not conducive to a normal conversation. He frowned and flicked his fingers. The blanket on the bed suddenly tightened, binding the girl snugly. Her face turned pale, and her breathing became labored with panic.
"Speak properly. No crying, or you'll face the consequences!"
