Chapter 94: Hard

Unable to dodge, Richard could only use another trick.

Fortunately, he never lacked tricks.

A massive shadow gorilla appeared at his side, its fist nearly the size of a human body.

BANG!

The shadow gorilla struck out with its hand, faster than the Demon Primordial itself.

The creature was instantly sent flying as the gorilla's enormous fist crashed into it.

And it wasn't just one shadow gorilla that appeared.

Ten of them manifested simultaneously around Richard. They all lunged toward the Demon Primordial as it was hurled back.

Relying on their colossal bodies, they seized the demon, which of course struggled fiercely to break free.

The Primordial Demon's physique was indeed formidable. Only because of the gorillas' massive size could they barely restrain it.

Of course, restraining wasn't Richard's true goal.

Click!

He snapped his fingers, and in that instant the shadow gorillas began to swell.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

They exploded all at once, releasing massive amounts of lightning and darkness that consumed a radius of dozens of meters, obliterating everything within.

The detonations were so thunderous that they echoed out from the hidden dimension, reaching the ears of the spectators outside.

From the very start of the battle, everyone could only be stunned. None had expected Richard to actually contend with a Tier 17 Primordial Demon.

"With power like this, he could basically compete with the top geniuses from the other provinces," someone said.

"Yes, their average strength should be at this level once they reach the Life Aether Realm."

"What if he advances to the Life Aether Realm?"

"He might very well win."

"..."

"What? Are those Shadow Monsters?"

"They look similar to the Arcane Art of the Moonshadow Clan."

"That's right. I once saw a battle recording of Lady Rebecca in her youth—she also had Shadow Monsters like these."

As the explosions of darkness and lightning erupted, everyone's eyes trembled.

"This… he's truly using the Arcane Art of the Moonshadow Clan."

In the capital, countless descendants of noble clans were present. They were educated, knowledgeable. They recognized abilities from various clans. How could they fail to recognize one from the Moonshadow Clan?

"Is he from the Moonshadow Clan?" many wondered aloud.

"It doesn't seem like anyone like him exists in that clan. There's no way they could have hidden him, right?"

Richard didn't know the spectators were outside debating the Arcane Arts he wielded.

Of course, he had anticipated that using both Arts would spark countless questions. But he didn't care. He had mastered them—he naturally had to use them. Otherwise, what was the point of possessing them?

He watched the explosion warily.

It was a vicious attack, yet he didn't know whether it was enough to wound the Primordial Demon.

He wasn't optimistic, and soon his doubts became reality.

From within the explosion, suddenly dozens—perhaps even more than a hundred—claws shot out at him, fast and carrying immense destructive power.

Richard could not treat this as a mere simple attack, even though it appeared so.

They were too fast, too dangerous, and their sheer numbers left little room to evade.

"Then this will do!" Richard finally unleashed a powerful wave.

A single shockwave held back the claws, then blasted them away—pushing back even the darkness and lightning of the explosions.

Whoosh!

He saw the Primordial Demon flap its wings, leaping into the air.

Several wounds marred its body where some scales had been blown off, but such injuries hardly counted. The Demon could easily regenerate the shattered scales.

'Perhaps elemental attacks aren't so effective against it,' Richard thought.

With its scales, the Demon was likely more vulnerable to physical strikes or something piercing.

'If I could land a Dragon Fist…'

Richard planned the strike, but it was no simple feat. In terms of agility, how could he possibly match a winged Primordial Demon?

Then suddenly, the Demon opened its mouth again.

Buzz!

Its mouth spewed out a strange substance—like fire, yet not fire, crimson in color.

Even Richard sensed it was closer to stomach acid, carrying the ability to dissolve anything.

"Hmph!" Richard responded by opening his own mouth.

Buzz!

A blindingly radiant flame spewed forth.

It wasn't necessary for him to breathe fire this way, but it was the best method for unleashing a more forceful burst.

Still, his flames were smaller than the Demon's stream. He couldn't make them larger, as in terms of energy, he was still at a disadvantage.

Boom!

A violent explosion rang out as flame and liquid collided, clashing and producing a green smoke that seemed capable of melting flesh.

Though Richard's fire was smaller, the result was balanced—showing the immense superiority of its quality.

Richard narrowed his eyes slightly, locking onto the Demon's gaze.

Behind him, the shadow of a massive black dragon emerged.

It formed from his will to roar.

ROAR!

A deafening roar tore from his mouth, so powerful that it shook the battlefield projection outside, startling all who watched.

Inside the battle zone, space itself quaked violently.

The Demon's crimson liquid was shattered, and Richard's flames surged forward, engulfing the Primordial Demon in a torrent of fire.

'What if I used Sacred Fire?'

Sacred Fire—it bore no heat, yet could burn away all forms of evil.

And the Primordial Demon was evil itself. Richard believed it would be a fatal strike against it.

Previously, he had not gotten the chance to launch an attack that would definitely hit the Primordial Demon.

Now was the perfect chance to use Sacred Fire, with the Demon submerged in his flames.

At once, the flames pouring from his mouth shifted—from radiant crimson to a calm, white fire.

Swish!

The white flame instantly surged into a massive wave.

"Agghhhh…"

A hoarse scream suddenly echoed from within the blaze, followed by a violent lurch to the side.

Through the raging fire, Richard could faintly see the shadow of the Primordial Demon struggling to escape the holy flames.

It was clearly suffering—enough to cry out in agony.

Yet the white fire had already marked the Demon as its target, burning relentlessly. Even without Richard's control, the holy flame moved of its own accord, chasing after the Primordial Demon.

'This is the chance…'

Richard's eyes gleamed as he unleashed a Mind Attack.

It was the perfect moment to weaken the Primordial Demon.
