Chapter 184: Boundless Ancient City

Richard returned to his inn and continued sleeping.

He wasn't in a hurry regarding the mine. There was still time before it appeared, and he also still had time to advance to the Grimoire Realm.

Progress was more important. Only then would he feel confident.

Time passed quickly while he slept.

He woke up in the morning, immediately took a shower, and then went to a restaurant for breakfast while waiting for Grace.

He sat alone in the corner of the luxurious restaurant, which was rather quiet because the food was too expensive.

Grace did not make him wait long.

She easily tracked his presence in the capital, entered the restaurant, sat in front of him, and ordered food for breakfast as well.

Today, she appeared even more enchanting, with her hair neatly tied up while her bangs still hung straight across her forehead.

Her neck was more exposed, and she wore crescent-shaped diamond earrings.

Richard even noticed the light makeup on her face, and her fragrance was intoxicating.

"So Grace, where are we going?" Richard asked.

Until now, Grace hadn't told him about the place.

"Boundless Ancient City, the Boundless Temple…" Grace replied.

"So that's where…" Richard nodded.

The Boundless Ancient City was the largest city in the Eastern Region, managed by the Boundless Temple, a faction highly respected despite never producing a Grand Sovereign.

Its location was right in the center of the Eastern Region.

"The journey is very long, let's go now," Richard said.

"Of course…"

Grace stopped eating as soon as Richard asked to leave.

She stood and followed Richard out of the restaurant.

Richard immediately summoned his flying ark and leaped onto it.

Whoosh!

It shot forward at full speed, exiting the capital within moments.

"Grace, how was your meeting with that woman?" Richard asked as he hugged her from behind, tempted by the beautiful curves of her body.

Then he pulled her onto the seat so that Grace sat on his lap.

The slit of her dress opened, revealing her long, fair legs.

Richard couldn't help but place his hand on her thigh, which was incredibly soft.

He caressed it, feeling extremely comfortable.

Grace turned her face to him, looking calm.

"She only asked for information about your strength, and I told her you're stronger than me. After that, she stopped talking," Grace answered.

Not only did she turn her face, Grace turned her body as well.

She wrapped her arms around his neck before kissing his lips.

Grace was truly passionate.

Richard couldn't help but touch her even more aggressively.

Besides caressing her thighs, he touched her breasts, which were astonishingly soft when pressed.

Grace's eyes trembled slightly, and her breathing intensified, becoming very warm.

"Tonight… would you mind?" Richard asked.

He had already decided. Waiting for Lilith was too long.

"Whenever you want," Grace replied calmly.

And the journey continued with them embracing and kissing until they were exhausted.

The flying ark's maximum travel speed consumed a great amount of Nature Spirit, but Richard didn't care at all.

He just wanted to reach the Boundless Ancient City as soon as possible.

He himself was extremely curious about the city, the largest in the Eastern Region, a gathering place for many powerful Magi.

For example, many factionless Magi lived there.

After leaving the Holy Star Kingdom, they passed through the Holy Light Kingdom before entering several smaller kingdoms founded only by Strong Magi, not Grand Sovereigns.

They also passed through territories inhabited by many powerful clans.

Even before reaching the Boundless Ancient City, Richard had already seen some cities larger than the capitals of the Holy Star Kingdom and the Holy Light Kingdom.

These cities were not necessarily stronger, but they were built in densely populated regions.

It was a long journey.

Compared to Earth, Richard felt like he was circling the planet three times.

Just the Eastern Region alone was several times larger than Earth.

Sometimes, Richard saw breathtaking scenery, such as a rose garden nearly the size of an entire province in the Holy Star Kingdom.

He had no idea how it existed—whether it grew naturally or was cultivated by someone.

When they encountered a large river filled with huge rocks, with crystal-clear water and a very strong current, Grace informed Richard that they were close, prompting him to slow down the flying ark.

He stood at the front of the deck, looking ahead, where he saw many flying arks—as if they were common vehicles.

Some people rode horses like Athena's. Richard even saw many better ones.

Others rode tigers or lions with wings.

They weren't very fast in flight, but their wingbeats were fierce, similar to his dragon wings, though at a lower level.

At least Magus World Realm—Richard saw many who were even at the peak of that realm.

Even at a slow speed, Richard saw a city shortly after.

It was a city built on a vast open land, truly giving an impression of boundlessness due to its sheer size.

It looked magnificent with medieval European-style buildings but painted in bright colors, giving it the feel of an ancient city maintained by a modern era.

What impressed Richard the most were the roads—neatly arranged from above, with long pathways connecting every corner of the city.

Each road was paved with black asphalt, allowing carriage wheels to move smoothly.

Richard began lowering the flying ark.

The city gate was guarded by soldiers in silver armor.

They did not look human—their average height exceeded three meters.

"Mm…" Richard grew even more astonished.

He found another interesting species. Goblins—green creatures less than a meter tall, chubby, and carrying clubs on their backs.

They moved in groups, following noble figures.

When Richard saw Grace's maid, who was an Elf, he thought she was rare. But here, there were many goblins.

They were different, yet they were still not human.

Unfortunately, Richard felt that they were nothing more than slaves.

Even without a Slave Seal, it seemed they could still be forced into obedience by overwhelming power.

Their physical strength was impressive, but in terms of magic, they appeared extremely weak.

And Goblins were not the only ones Richard discovered.

He also saw several humans who looked unique—half of their bodies resembled humans, while the other half resembled a horse or a tiger.

They seemed to be hybrids between humans and ferocious beasts.

Richard had long heard that they were the result of experiments conducted by Evil Magi in ancient times, yet they continued to produce generations upon generations up to this day.
