"Grey-clad Devils?"
"A newly risen powerful faction?"
Upon hearing this, Tania instinctively searched her memory, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't recall any such powerful faction known as the Grey-clad Devils in the nearby towns.
"Miss, shall we send more people to provide support?" asked the man from the Nine Street Gang.
"Support?" Tania glanced at the gang members in the hall battling Initial Tier monsters. Their numbers had dwindled to less than a hundred, with dozens dead along the way. She spoke decisively, "Gather everyone here. It's a critical moment now; there's no need to worry whether other factions make it in."
At this moment, in the Azure Sky District, all major factions had almost completed their explorations, collecting everything they needed. They had gained quite a lot.
They had now begun clearing out the monsters emerging from the Martial Artist Association. Once they finished cleaning out these creatures, the items in the Association would be theirs for the taking. There was no need to expend resources on keeping other factions out.
Especially now, with a formidable Grey-clad Devil fighting to the death, preventing them any further would be sheer foolishness.
"Understood." The man from the Nine Street Gang promptly departed to notify members scattered in various locations.
As the Nine Street Gang member left, Mohe, who had entered the Martial Artist Association, also stepped out.
"Miss Tania, the warehouse area of the Martial Artist Association is almost cleared, but a Middle Tier monster has emerged, requiring the two of us to team up," Mohe said excitedly, "Once we take down that Middle Tier monster, everything in the Association's warehouse will be ours."
The Martial Artist Association of a city, while perhaps not as wealthy as the top-tier factions controlling the city, undoubtedly boasted the greatest variety of precious monster materials.
Obtaining these precious monster materials not only accelerates the path of Martial Arts cultivation but can also create a powerful faction on par with the city district forces, becoming a major asset for the future.
"Great." Tania couldn't help but smile upon hearing this.
After half a day's efforts, they had finally cleared most of the monsters in the warehouse area of the Martial Artist Association. Next, they needed to take down the Middle Tier monster and grab the Association's treasures before retreating.
...
Outside the Azure Sky District.
"Retreat?" Brage looked at the message on his Smart Watch, feeling an inexplicable sense of relief.
After fighting up till now, Brage was genuinely terrified of these Grey-clad Devils. They seemed endless, and even with top-level support, it would only delay the inevitable entry of the Grey-clad Devils into the district.
"Are you guys retreating too?" Jasvi watched Brage assembling his team to leave and chuckled.
"Yeah, orders from above tell us to regroup." Brage nodded, smiling as well, "Now we can finally say goodbye to those lunatics."
"Indeed," Jasvi agreed, "I never want to encounter those maniacs again, whether they're after lives or solely focused on hoarding equipment. It's a wonder how this faction turns its people so reckless."
Regarding the Grey-clad Devils, he now only felt chills.
In those battles, it didn't feel like fighting humans but genuinely like battling demons. Even powerful wild monsters feared death, but the Grey-clad Devils did not, seizing any opportunity to take you down with them.
After witnessing such all-out fights multiple times in one night, not just his subordinates, but even himself, developed an instinctive fear—especially seeing comrades unwillingly being embraced by the Grey-clad Devils, hearing their joyous laughter, before being pierced by a thunderbolt.
Jasvi somewhat understood why even wild gang members preferred charging at them rather than facing the Grey-clad Devils.
Roughly ten minutes after Brage, Jasvi, and their teams left, One Leaf Floating Cloud and his group ran over excitedly, ready for another round.
However, when they saw the empty street, they were all bewildered.
"Where did all my elite monsters go?" One Leaf Floating Cloud looked at the desolate street, searching for a long while without spotting a single figure.
They had brushed over two hundred A6-level battle armors, banking on these elite monsters to make a big splash.
"The game company must have fixed the bug," Xiaoyuan frantically scanned the surroundings, finding nothing left behind, not even the bodies alongside the streets; everything was incinerated to the point not a hair was left. Only a game company could be so ruthless.
"Game companies always act the same. Whenever there's a beneficial bug for us players, they fix it at lightning speed," One Leaf Floating Cloud remarked in exasperation.
"Still, it's not too bad," Ye Qinglu said nonchalantly, reassuring them, "Such a bug drastically impacts game balance. We got over two hundred sets out of it; we should be satisfied. I assume other teams are in the same boat. Let's hurry to the district now and make sure no one else gets ahead."
One Leaf Floating Cloud, Xiaoyuan, and the others nodded in agreement, realizing they had gained a lot out of this bug. Further discussions on bug fixes were pointless. The priority was entering the district to gain more contributions.
Subsequently, One Leaf Floating Cloud and his group rushed into the Azure Sky District, vanishing swiftly into the streets.
"Did those major suburban forces give up?" Qin Mu watched the players entering the district, his mouth agape.
